In case anyone was wondering (and you probably weren't), the WSJ has deemed Hilligula's loss as sufficient punishment, no need for prosecution, dontchaknow. It's for the good of the country, rubes! Just get over it. Oh, and just stop with yer fantasy about who and how many Curb Dive would be plotting to indict were she prez-elect, m'kay?

Leave it to the daily caller, to point out what trump actually said to. Carlos slim, its not even remotely proximate to their own account.

4 naked boys, about 5 years old, fighting over a dead rat.

Might be something to contemplate tomorrow.

Absolutely. There is bone crunchingly appalling poverty in India; the type that makes you want to physically attack some of the deadbeat "advocates" here.

Being the father of the bride is a very socially adventageous position in India. Accordingly we were provided a driver, Raj, who was unfailingly friendly and polite in transporting us hither an yon. I considered it a cross cultural victory when I made him laugh twice with comments about the insanity of the traffic.

One thing India gets right is not giving deference to school buses when disgorging the rug rats, figuring that dealing with traffic is a life lesson undeserving of a participation trophy.

In that light, one wonders if they left out general flynn's views or pompeo's out if the conversation.

A superior officer on the police department my son works for heard his best buddy, also a cop, listening to Sweet Home Alabama. The superior officer claimed it was a racist song and messed with him to the point that he sought out another PD. The song was very dear to my son's buddy because it was his father's favorite song. His father was born in Alabama and my son was invited to attend his best friends father's dying wish to attend a Crimson Tide football game...Roll Tide!

No, he' inconsolable, so he relates general mattis's pov, but he doesn't make it his own.

IMO Haley was a brilliant choice--she'll be great at the UN, her Lt Gov moves up, and the Indian community which strongly supported Trump will be happy. Bye bye goofy Samantha.

De Vos looks to be a good choice as Sec of Ed, too: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-nominates-nikki-haley-to-be-un-ambassador/2016/11/23/401f4a7a-b183-11e6-be1c-8cec35b1ad25_story.html?pushid=breaking-news_1479924725&tid=notifi_push_breaking-news

I take tremendous pride in knowing it was a band from Florida that gave Bama its signature song, a tune defending Alabama, in particular, and the South in general, from an unfair piece written by a Canadian who now acknowledges it wasn't, in fact, a well thought out song.

Of course, that Alabama of the 1960s *did* deserve well-founded criticism. It's the outrageous blanket criticism that was ridiculous & over the top then, as now.

Hopefully we can stop with the crazy caricatures of fellow Americans.

Thomas Collins

UN Ambassador is not necessarily a policy insider. I wouldn't go so far as to call the position ceremonial, but it's not in the same league with DoD Sec, State Sec, DNI Director, and National Security Advisor.

Depends, don Collins, Kirkpatrick was certainly involved in policy, as was Susan rice

Thomas Collins

I agree, buccr morgan, that the UN Ambassador may be an insider. But it's a position that does not inherently provide the holder with clout.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

The only bigotry displayed in Sweet Home Alabama is toward Neil Young, which I hope we can all agree is a bigotry not only fully justified but in far too short a supply.

Porchlight

"Southern Man" seems to be the targeted song but I think "Alabama" is even more offensive.

This is probably old already, but someone on Twitter described Trump's purported view that Hillary shouldn't be prosecuted on her e-mail issues as "pardoning a Turkey before Thanksgiving."

MaryD

Hi all, and a very ppy Thanksgiving! I had open heart surgery on the 14th (herefore the recent silence), and am doing very well. Long story short, the breast cancer thing paled before the heart thing, so we got that out of the way first. don't expect long posts! ;-D

--Happy Thanksgiving--

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

TBT,
Considering Clinton is a rapist, Epstein is a convicted pedophile and Tony Podesta indulges in some revolting "art" I am willing to entertain the possibility they have engaged in what you accuse them of.

But what evidence you have linked requires some fairly huge and tenuous leaps of faith. You couldn't get a grand jury with a hankering for a big juicy ham sandwich to even consider indicting anyone on the evidence that has been produced.

That doesn't make those of us who require more evidence complicit in pedophilia. It makes us properly circumspect when such an inflammatory and serious charge is made.
Produce a witness, a victim or some solid, non-code word direct evidence and you will have something on which to build a case.

Absent that you're probably safe from defamation on the legal principle that some people have reputations so bad they can't be libeled but you're still reaching conclusions that seem unsupported by the known facts.

Old Lurker

From the "I know you know this already file":

The Machine had to create an "uber" right lunatic fringe but couldn't use the German word due to the current fame of the latest "how could they possibly be making any money" company.

They also need to have a mechanism for turning everything any conservative, RINO, GOPe, or Emo-crat defector into something sinister and depraved.

And, ALT-Right seems to work.

Buckeye

I run as hot and cold on Neil Young as probably any other musician. I think the most accurate thing I can say about him is he completely embodies the punk persona with all the pluses and minuses.

I got to listen to him give a pitch to a group of audiophiles at an industry event a few years ago. He was getting ready to release his Pono box.

Was a small group of about 30-40 people, so there was some opportunity to interact and he fielded questions from a group of opinionated "experts" (audiophile world full of voodoo and black magic).

Walked away with the impression he was a 1st class asshole to the nth degree. Very touchy, very defensive.

Don't think Pono is going anywhere.

The "alt-right" meme seems like inside baseball lingo. Most voters don't know what it means, and most who do don't care imo.

The issue of PEOTUS *saying* he wasn't going to pursue Hamrod on the trail of her alleged high crimes and misdemeanors....

The perspective shared around 9:13 PST by El Rushbo made some sense.

Paraphrasing: PEOTUS has appointed Jeff Sessions as AG to head up the Justice Department. If PEOTUS "promises" to investigate Hamrod then he upstages his own executive and turns him into a puppet. Isn't that what we just endured under Obama? First, there was Holder and now Lo Lo Lynch.

Anyways, the kabuki theater of the debates and the campaign trail are no longer needed. PEOTUS is testing his grip on The Giant Hammer.

To try and predict the exact ways he'll wield it? Lunacy.

Re Haley at the UN: First, Haley has been given a pair of hip waders she'll need to wade into that shitake show. Have fun.

Second, she's gone in a heartbeat if she tries to freelance should her closet/covert proggo-lib identity start to leach into her frontal lobes causing a loss of impulse control (the cause of all proggo mistaken identity crises--- zero to no impulse control).

Third, a question, does lining up a gubernatorial ally in SC gently isolate Lindsay "Lithper" Graham going into the fun and games of 2017?

Fourth, and does isolating Lithper set up the long game to get Gowdy into the Senate and ultimately in to the Majority Leader's chair?

Of course tea leaves are easier to read than a teabag, no?

Lesley Stahl got Trump to accept the Leg-Humping Media narrative of violent or abusive Trump supporters when the exact opposite is the case.

I think he wants the decent press he used to get from the NYTimes, but he was a New Yorker then, Now he's a Republican and they will never be fair to him again.

* Global Warming is still a fraud, Donald.

Let's say I suddenly "discovered" a weather phenomenon that required limited government, lower taxes and free-market capitalism--would anyone believe it? Yet liberals "discovered" one that requires all their favorite policies: Global Government, higher energy taxes and control of industrial policy. Not to mention all their scientists are on the government payroll and are defunded for dissenting. And now threatened with prosecution, too. Because...Science!

That's not science--that's Al Capone with a chemistry set.

* Trump pledged to seek a special prosecutor for Clinton in front of 67 million viewers. If he recants, even for the purpose of sparing the country, it will look like it was all politics and no principle. The Clintons will also use it as proof of their innocence.

Yes, it's unseemly for a great nation to put a First Lady under investigation, but it is much more unseemly to ignore the bribery, the obstruction of justice and the national security crimes (which were caused by trying to keep the bribery secret).

Donald ran against #theRiggedSystem. Are we going to have the Rule of Law or the Clintons' Above the Law-criminality? Let justice take its course. Pardon later if you wish--but the signal must be sent; America is not a Banana Republic where officials sell policy to the highest bidder.

To coin a phrase, "That's Not Who We Are."

If Trump interferes with justice here, it would just make him the newest leader of that same old Rigged System. #DontRigTheSystemDonald!

Don't fall for it, man. Don't give them control of the narrative. Don't try to please people who will backstab you before you're even out of the room.

Stay true, Brother Donald, stay true.

DeVos is on the board of Jeb's Foundation for Excellence in Education that pushes every bad idea in ed and gets funded by the Progs like Gates and Pearson. I have never spoken with her, but I have talked with her partner in her latest venture--Kevin Chavous, who is no conservative. I am glad it is not evers and I found the push by the Faux Anti-Common Core crew around the country to be something to behold, down to coordinating around petitions.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

MaryD.,

Oh my goodness! Prayers for your speedy recovery and a restful and blessed Thanksgiving!

TheGipperLives,

Could you please wait to proffer judgement and advice until the man is sworn in? We currently have threats of a recount, attempts to intimidate the electors, cornered Clintons who are desperate to reclaim clout, Soros funding riots and demonstrations,an unhinged lame duck president and a vindictive press.

MY concern is to get Trump safely through the interim, voted on in the electoral college and then sworn in, all without the entire country going up in flames.

I am flat-out tired of everyone immediately piling on about this, including people on Conservative Treehouse and The_Donald. Some of them seem to me to be Soros-funded and are trying to undermine his presidency by making him seem like he's going back on his promises.

Even after Rush explained what's going on, he STILL had callers with the same line. The last one for today (heard in the car radio coming home) almost sounded like she was reading from a script.

It has been TWO WEEKS since the election. Everyone needs to quit asking "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"

jimmyk

Best wishes for a complete recovery, MaryD.

Jim Eagle

What evidence, Marty? What court? Do you even know the rules of evidence for any of the courts you'd file in? Stop it.

Truthbetold---

Criminal sexual predators belong behind bars never to be released in my not so humane opinion.

If I ruled the world, they'd have their entire bodies abraded and dipped in vinegar. Then, they would be strapped nude over a hill of fire ants.

Following the fire ant treatment, they'd be left in a pen of five mature boar hogs who've not been fed in a few days.

Record the soundtrack and distribute it to state prisons where rapists and other sex crime offenders are warehoused.

For 15 minutes every morning when they rise, and for 15 minutes each night during vespers, they get to listen to those sounds.

But, alas, I do not rule the world. My three kids made it to young adulthood without being raped, raping, or getting sodomized by a coach, priest, elder, babysitter, teacher, social worker, cop, butcher, baker or candlestick maker.

My point: the current legal system seems to think that rehabilitation is possible and that the threat of social ostracism is enough to deter these animals from destroying the minds and bodies of the defenseless.

Given my own narrow views, what would you suggest I do *now*, in this moment, given the allegations against Podey Odey and the rest of these vermin?

What actions are available to us as free-thinking Americans who still have some semblance of a moral code?

I'll close worried about this message being met with "STFU" type invective.

With as much sincerity as I can offer here in an internet forum, I'm trying to understand (as opposed to psychoanalyze or cynically devalue)your point of view *and* the intensity behind your messaging.

David Crosby, Graham Nash and Steven Stills could not stand Neil Young. None of those folks would be considered conservatives or even moderates. But they found Young to be a gaping Ahole. Seems like he is consistent over the years...

America I think MM.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

TBT,
If you somehow established standing and you went into court with the evidence you have linked you would be in grave danger of a malicious prosecution suit once you inevitably got tossed.
Code words and guilt by association are not convincing and probably not even admissible evidence.
You would succumb to a directed verdict or summary judgement and then be a sitting duck.
You obviously won't be convinced by me but I gave it a shot. I hope you have a good thanksgiving.

BTW, it is ironic you mention my son because the voices in his head have him convinced he committed molestations he couldn't possibly have committed but they are more real to him than reality.

lyle

Young didn't write Horse With No Name, MM. One of the band members of America wrote it but considering the cadence, rhythm, and vocals, you can be forgiven for thinking that.
