A WI recount summary, 95% votes recounted. Hilligula has gained 25 votes net with 150k to recount (Trump leads by 22k). Figure 80% (120k) of the remaining votes were for Hilligula, so the rest have to flip from Trump. Not gonna happen.

I have concerns, but I don't know him, What?

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Saturday he has concerns about the possibility of Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson being nominated for secretary of State, given his ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I don't know what Mr. Tillerson's relationship with Vladimir Putin was, but I'll tell you it is a matter of concern to me," McCain said in an interview with Fox News.

KK - thank you so much for sharing that information about your legs. My husband has been on Gabapentin for many years (for Trigeminal Neuralgia) and for the last 18 months has had a battle with his legs. It started like a rash and the Dr. said it was a reaction to Neosporin. It gets better but then gets worse and never really goes away.

I am going to ask him to look into the possibility that Gabapentin is the culprit. But that would open another can of worms as he would need to switch to something to control the TN pain.

It's a juggling act when our bodies get older!

The US sent a “planeload of FBI agents” to Iceland in 2011 to frame WikiLeaks and its co-founder Julian Assange, according to a former Icelandic minister of interior, who refused them any cooperation and asked them to cease their activities.
In June 2011, Obama administration implied to Iceland's authorities they had knowledge of hackers wanting to destroy software systems in the country, and offered help, then-Interior Minister Ogmundur Jonasson, said in an interview with the Katoikos publication.

However, Jonasson said he instantly became “suspicious” of the US good intentions, “well aware that a helping hand might easily become a
manipulating hand.”

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Good evening!

First of all, the Victor Davis Hanson clip was great! And I also was glad to hear him aghast at Kevin Williamson's vitriol (event though he didn't use his name, I knew it was him).

Also, agree with him about Trump's "animal cunning" which is as good a description of any for his talent. I enjoyed his recounting of Trump's primary zingers on his opponents.

Secondly, glad so many enjoyed that link concerning the Department of Energy landing team and their questions!

Lastly, great dinner at my sister's.

She has a 1950's home with a retro kitchen with original metal cabinets. It's a very small cabinet area, mostly over and surrounding her sink and washer. SO, while I was helping her put things away, she reached up and an entire 5-pound bag of flour fell out and onto the top of her washer, whereupon the bag split open and showered us both with flour.

Then we tried to clean it up and kept making it worse, and then got to laughing so hard that I could hardly talk.
Talk about Lucy and Ethel!

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Oh, forgot!

Conogratulations to Army and their fans!

I bet it was because they honored Trump with that locker tribute. Kek smiles on such efforts.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

I don't know. The idea that the same people who were happy with the reset button, stood by while Russia took Crimea, and sold the Russians 20% of our uranium are suddenly concerned about Russia, seems to me to be sort of shady.

Plus, any infiltration or hacking was done while Obama was in charge!

And why didn't we hear about this prior to Hillary LOSING the election?

And did the Russians make her call us a basket of deplorables, not campaign in the Rust Belt, or refuse to give a press conference for damn near a year? Did the Russians make her faint at 9/11 and leave by being hurled into a van like a side of beef?

The same president who mocked Romney for his concerns about Russia by saying "The 80's called and wants it's foreign policy back" NOW is all concerned about Russia?

As far as I am concerned, if Russia did pull some strings I flat-out don't care, as I think we have dodged our doom under Clinton and Trump will be a great president.

Unless you think that all those West Point and Annapolis cadets cheering today were Russian agents.

He isn't.
McTard isn't trying to hurt President Trump. McTard is trying to PORTRAY HIMSELF as a PATRIOT. McTard, is a simple man, and OPPORTUNIST. He is in love with himself and his MISTER SENATOR/BARBRA BOXER ESQUE Title.

McCain is an EMPTY suit. He should NEVER have been elected to the SENATE, because he is not a competent LEADER.

Hey Gus.

Did England damage itself by leaving the EU? I guess we'll find out but not completely.

McDonald's Corp (MCD.N) said on Thursday it would move its international tax base to the United Kingdom from Luxembourg after coming under increased scrutiny from European Union regulators over its tax arrangements in the small country.

McDonald's said it would create a new international holding company domiciled in the UK that would receive the majority of royalties from licensing deals outside the United States. ...

The company said in July it would create over 5,000 jobs in Britain by the end of 2017, in a sign of its commitment to the country after the vote on June 23 to leave the EU.

A number of international companies have shifted their corporate registration or primary tax residence to the UK since Britain relaxed its rules on the taxation of companies' foreign subsidiaries in 2012.

These include U.S. lock maker Allegion (ALLE.N), U.S. insurer Aon (AON.N) and Italian tractor maker CNH Industrial (CNHI.MI).

rse, I saw your post from yesterday--I am sorry for you and your husband's loss, and certainly his family's.

I have no experience with a loss that close, but want to share that on the anonymous doctor site I frequent from time to time, when psychiatrists discuss suicide prevention, there seems to be no way to predict who will suicide. so, to me that means lay people preventing it is next to impossible.

Sadly, men of your groomsman age seem particularly elusive, and successful.

But even knowing that myself, after a wonderful nurse I worked with once a week or so killed himself, it was at least two years before I finally stopped wondering how I missed his depression. Not every day, but pretty much every day I worked at that hospital I'd worked at with him.
Great guy.

I'm headed back home to see if Blake Bortles can avoid throwing a Pick-6 this week but in blessed celebration this morning, here's to the biggest, baddest, boldest fighting force on the mickey-fickin' planet:

“The Army Goes Rolling Along”

March along, sing our song, with the Army of the free
Count the brave, count the true, who have fought to victory
We’re the Army and proud of our name
We’re the Army and proudly proclaim

First to fight for the right,
And to build the Nation’s might,
And The Army Goes Rolling Along
Proud of all we have done,
Fighting till the battle’s won,
And the Army Goes Rolling Along.

Then it’s Hi! Hi! Hey!
The Army’s on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong (TWO! THREE!)
For where e’er we go,
You will always know
That The Army Goes Rolling Along.

Valley Forge, Custer’s ranks,
San Juan Hill and Patton’s tanks,
And the Army went rolling along
Minute men, from the start,
Always fighting from the heart,
And the Army keeps rolling along.

Men in rags, men who froze,
Still that Army met its foes,
And the Army went rolling along.
Faith in God, then we’re right,
And we’ll fight with all our might,
As the Army keeps rolling along.

Let's assume the recent NY Times pieces on the elections are correct. What do we have? We have a senior Obama administration official stating that the administration concludes that our election was not compromised.

Russkie meddling, if the NY Times article accurately reflects the assessment of the intelligence community, was limited to releasing emails that may have embarrassed Clinton and DNC officials and cost Donna Brazile her job at CNN. Whoop-dee-doo. Dems can't seem to accept that the deplorables comment and use of private email to conduct State Department business damaged Campaign Hill far more than the WikiTweaks. Not to mention that we are finding out that the data analytics part of Campaign Trump was far stronger than oligarch media thought it was.

Thomas Collins

Why The Hill visited Arizona and not Wisconsin in the waning days of the campaign is of far greater interest to an election junkie than WikiTweaks.

Spent yesterday at a funeral and family friend get together.

Greg was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma in February, passed last week. He and his wife Lynn's children are same ages as ours. They spent their entire childhood together, in and out of school.

Was really impressed with his son who spoke at the funeral about the job "well done" by his father. Very patient, caring individual who had a huge impact on his children in a very positive way.

Hope I have done half as well.

Foundations are favorite bribes of poloticians, especially those that won't allow the poeple to vote on them like PMs, Premiers, life term senators, etc. Its mostly just a lot of cash. Thats used for employees, jobs, compliance cash to pals. The others use donations they give themselves to affect politics. These are usually focused on pleasing foreign country goals of upper management - more predilictous. Ideally, the hybrid is an organization that does all this. Mercy Corps is an example.

While focusing on foundations we're passing on the businesses and foundation/ngo s that hire cia operations officers and morph operations more in line with cia / nsa goals. Trump global hotels, global financiers, etc like his appointments. All friendlies, not government related, and highly desireable tools. Then theres ngo s that claim no involvement in cia operations, but mirror them making them more likely to receive huge government grants, put employees on career tracks, like mercy corps mirrors usaid, but pushes it farther.

It appears trump and his x global business, not us government, but career paths for operations officers, appointments have no idea who is in charge - the director of operations, her history, modus, preferred operations and thus operators career paths. Are these billionaires business people that stupid? They're not wanted and operating for someone they dont even know, not even a name. Idiots. She prefers anything but busineeses, icons, wealthy. Government entities or those ngo s she can finance with her billions. Futures for all.

Its a good chance hillary with her life on the government dole and desire to be pleased by a willing zombie hord government dole employee troll swarm knows the director of operations, her history and agency goals as well as she knows pants suits. So, it was probably a mistake to claim trump is an isis trainer and have isis make a movie to that affect then to blame the Russians and have a response.....Its not trump. Its all her. Finally, her pants suit intelligence cabal that believe they owe their jobs (say hayden hires) to dems, the clintons, have responded with 'high confidences' pro hillary. This intelligence cabal isn't taken seriously by the intelligence community, excepting the the drone killer director operations. It appears they have wandered out of their 'we just read books,' analyst claims to the field. Well, we all saw the movies.

Ford vs. Cheby? Chevy makes billions from the US government, especially military. Ford has best car in europe. Go figure.😎

"Russkie meddling, if the NY Times article accurately reflects the assessment of the intelligence community, was limited to releasing emails that may have embarrassed Clinton and DNC officials and cost Donna Brazile her job at CNN. Whoop-dee-doo"

The point isn't the effectiveness of their actions, it's their intent. They tried to tip an American Presidential election, by way of espionage toward a particular candidate. The Kremlin believed that said Presidential candidate would better serve their global ambitions if he were to become President- which ironically includes the weakening of the United States.

Jesus Christ. I know we're dumb in this country, but we can't be that dumb.

This is hard for your average Trump supporter to come to terms with....the notion that you have to face our men and women in uniform and admit that their enemy, the foe that wants to see the destruction of their United States...the very thing they fight for and protect and put their lives on the line for.....is protected and supported by the Republican party and Donald Trump.

These are treasonous acts and THAT'S why the CIA is truly alarmed because it seems.....and yeah this is going to sound completely paranoid, but bear with me...it seems as if we've been infiltrated.

I'm not saying we have and yeah, perhaps this is just all one big misunderstanding and rewriting the Republican platform to protect Russian ambitions globally was just one of those funny things. But it seems odd and there's far too many coincidences favoring Russia to be easily brushed off.

Like the Republican leader of the Senate putting American interests second to the those of the Kremlin?

Miss Marple the Deplorable

clarice's pieces,

That is a wonderful article. Foundations as a source of leftist (or for that matter, rightist) funding only came on my radar a few years ago, but I didn't realize how extensive it was.

One other thing I wouldlike to see is foundations required to release their donors and donors' country of origin.

How do we know that the Sierra Fund isn't mostly bankrolled by the Saudis?

John McCain is 80 yo. He won the AZ Barry Goldwater seat 30 yrs. ago. Other than the Keating 5 scandal, the disastrous McCain-Feingold, and his prima dona "Gang of" penchant, what's his legacy? It's certainly not caring about vets, because the Phoenix VA malfeasance was reportedly the worst in the county and likely still is.

henry - drunk on prog tears

Clarice, you may want to take a quick look at the date range at the beginning (on tax policy 75 years), looks like a typo.

Excellent review of the non profit sector. Perhaps pay caps for foundation employees make sense. (Is it charitable to be paid $3 million or whatever Chelsea gets?)

I guess Ted Kennedy asking the Ruskies to interfere with the 1984 election was Okey doke though, right?

Miss Marple the Deplorable

I bet if you got hold of those 33,000 emails you would find Hillary asking the Kremlin for help. Reset and that uranium, after all, meant that Putin owed her something.

They ALWAYS accuse us of things they actually do.

Thnx Henry--I've asked the editor to correct that typo.

Thanks. MM--Sierra Club is what's called a public charity because unlike the ones I discuss it gets contributions from outside donors. As I said that deserves separate discussion outside my word limits for this article.
