Trump to Unveil Mexico Border Wall Plans in Security Push
President Donald Trump plans to unveil actions on national security starting Wednesday that are expected to include steps toward building a wall on the Mexican border and limiting refugee inflows to the U.S., moving to fulfill key promises he made during his election campaign.
“Big day planned on NATIONAL SECURITY tomorrow. Among many other things, we will build the wall!” the president wrote Tuesday night in a message on his personal Twitter feed.

I really need to work, but this showed up on my FB feed and has local progressives wailing in despair:
http://www.ithaca.com/news/ithaca/a-progressive-talk-station-goes-off-air-no-it-s/article_edf3db36-d846-11e6-8305-5796b8655f3f.html
Money quote from the interview with the station manager:
Can’t the station just get other shows?
I wish it was that easy. The shows are simply either not available for local radio or do not fit a daily programming schedule. The station cannot simply rebroadcast content if we are not licensed to do so. In its final state, WNYY was already rebroadcasting Thom Hartmann, Colmes, and Stephanie Miller shows daily and on weekends. There comes a point where simply are not putting a valued product out there.
Why do shows like Rush Limbaugh still exist then?
Rush has a very long heritage and history on radio. His syndicators – the people who find radio stations (affiliates) are also responsible for generating the advertising revenue in his show. Strong number of stations and show longevity makes for a healthy product. We are not a market that subscribes to “ratings”- suffice to say both nationally- and even locally, Rush has a very large following. But let me be clear, neither ratings nor advertiser support was our issue.

Anybody in the real world who has ever dealt with big accounting firms during an audit is familiar with the sampling techniques available to drill down as in forensic accounting to discover fraud. I see no reason that testing the statistical validity of who voted would be any different than testing the validity of, say, accounts receivable.
Just pick a few heavy D, heavy non-English Districts and tear into them and into the death and residency records that support the rights of those voters.
The tale will be told.

Chi Lurker and Cecil...the nice thing about a well designed sampling is that it can drill down into great detail...and unlike the usual Government Inspector General type investigation, a good audit will report out not just "good" or "bad" but also "can not be verified" and that is important because it penalizes a burrowed in staff which does not want the truth known. Again, in the real world, an audit report to a board which scores into those three baskets will always find a good board equating "bad" and "could not be verified" as pretty much just as bad and heads roll in both cases.
