LATE UPDATE from Fox News: One of the two alleged suspects has been re-described as a witness:
Only 1 man arrested in Quebec mosque terror attack is a suspect, police say
Only one of the two men arrested in the minutes after the terror attack at a mosque in Quebec City is a suspect, police revealed Monday, saying the other man they handcuffed was a witness.
The lone suspect was identified as Alexandre Bissonnette, a student at the nearby Laval University, a law enforcement source told Reuters.
Police initially named Mohamed el Khadir as a second suspect, The Associated Press reported, before cops apparently backtracked.
Do note that the ID of the suspect is from Reuters, not an official police source. The NY Times says the situation is not officially clarified. Here is the police site (French translation buttons on each tweet).

At least five people are dead after a shooting at a Quebec City mosque. But one witness added an odd detail:
A witness told CBC's French-language Radio-Canada that two masked individuals entered the mosque as people, including several children, were praying. "It seemed to me that they had a Quebecois accent. They started to fire, and as they shot they yelled, 'Allahu akbar!'
Huh? Normally "Allahu Akhbar" is Arabic for "My motive will never be known" but in this case? Obviously there is plenty of Muslim-on-Muslim violence in the Middle East but has that been exported to Canada?
The NY Times manages to put some of the blame on Trump but, weirdly, does not call for stricter gun control in America. Whether this "Allahu Akhbar" detail will pierce their narrative remains to be seen.
IF YOU CAN'T TRUST THE BRITISH TABLOIDS...
From the Daily Mail:
Police arrest two students – one 'of Moroccan origin' - over the murder of six people shot dead in a Quebec City mosque carnage a day after Canadian PM condemned Trump immigration ban
- Two students have been arrested in Quebec for a deadly shooting at a mosque which killed six people
- Masked gunmen opened fire on worshipers inside the Quebec City Islamic Cultural Center on Sunday at 8pm
- Six people aged between 35 and 70 were killed in the shooting which has been deemed a terrorist attack
- Five people are in critical condition, another 12 suffered less serious injuries and 39 escaped unharmed
- Witnesses told how they heard shouts of 'Allahu akbar' in Quebecois accents from the masked shooters
- One suspect called police to 'confess to his crime' and was found 'with handgun and two AK-47s' in his jeep
- On Monday he led police to a house in a residential street ten minutes away from where the shooting occurred
- The attack came amid global condemnation of US President Donald Trump's Muslim travel ban
A student from Morocco with a Quebecois accent?
OVER TO FOX NEWS:
Suspect in Quebec mosque terror attack was of Moroccan origin, report shows
One of two gunmen who shouted 'Allahu akbar!' as they opened fire at a mosque in Quebec City was of Moroccan origin, a witness and local media reported Monday, revealing the first details about the attackers in the massacre that killed six people.
The terror suspects were identified as Mohamed Khadir and Alexandre Bissonnette, the Canadian TV network TVA Nouvelles reported. They were arrested soon after the shooting at the Quebec Islamic Cultural Centre Sunday night and were expected to appear in court later Monday, police told reporters.
One of those names does not sound like that of a typical jihadist.
The Montreal Gazette confirms the names, omits the "Moroccan origin" detail and doesn't add much, but the police continue to be baffled by a motive.
I assume the internet is churning those names right now. 5 Fast Facts adds little, but reminds us that "Moroccan origin" could also mean Moroccan parents but born in Canada, or brought to Canada as a child.
That said, with a Moroccan link I do suspect the "Allahu Akhbar" element will have to be acknowledged more widely, perhaps even by the NY Times.
MORE: As noted at the top, one of the men arrested is now a witness, the other a suspect. Police have yet to confirm which is which, but the media seem to have settled on Alexandre Bissonette as the shooter.
The sole suspect of the shooting at a Quebec City mosque on Sunday night that left six dead was described as a "loner," and a "troll," by people familiar with the suspect's Facebook posts, Le Soleil, a Quebec City daily, reports.
Apparently the shooter will be brought to court this afternoon and the plot twists as to his identity should end.
BISSONETTE IS CHARGED. Motive still unclear, although the chalk bet is anti-Muslim / anti-immigrant fervor. As to why a witness or witnesses described two gunmen and shouts of "Allahu Akhbar", who knows?
The NY Times manages to put some of the blame on Trump

Trudeau has declared it is a "Terrorist Attack." The Journalist that the BBC is talking to on the phone, Pierre Jobin from location in Quebec, is trying to tie this in to Trump.
Dr Zuhdi Jasser is on now with CNN. He is in favor of Trump's immigration EO, so he is undergoing the standard incoming questions from the CNN Talking Head. He did pretty well explaining why he supports what Trump is trying to do, tho not completely on board with the implementation so far.

From AT comments section:
"Another check and balance destroyed by the Left."
>>>>"A visa does not give you the right to enter the country.
It only says that you've been vetted by State Department officials and that they believe you should be allowed in.
DHS Border Patrol has say on who actually is allowed in.
Judge Donnelly has to be fully aware of this. Her order to allow in those who have valid visas has no leg to stand on.
If allowed to stand, it would set precedence and shift the authority away from DHS and over to State, and State could send as many of whoever they wanted.
Another check and balance destroyed by the left.
From the State Department website:
How Can I Use a Visa to Enter the United States?
"Having a U.S. visa allows you to travel to a port of entry, airport or land border crossing, and request permission of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) inspector to enter the United States.
While having a visa does not guarantee entry to the United States, it does indicate a consular officer at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate abroad has determined you are eligible to seek entry for that specific purpose. DHS/CBP inspectors, guardians of the nation’s borders, are responsible for admission of travelers to the United States, for a specified status and period of time.
DHS also has responsibility for immigration matters while you are present in the United States."
https://travel.state.gov/conte...
This, by the way, is the way it is in every country in the world. State issues visas, Immigration decides whether you get to come in.

The Canadien Police have had at least one of the shooters in custody now for about 9 hours, and if the stories of the second guy being captured are true, they've held him for about 6 hours. Obviously they have their reasons for keeping those identity's secret as they go about their investigation, but they also know everyone is interested in who the perps are.

PARIS (AP) -- Air France has blocked 15 passengers from Muslim countries from traveling to the U.S. because they would have been refused entry under President Donald Trump's new immigration ban...Air France said in a statement it was informed Saturday by the U.S. government of the new restrictions, and had no choice but to stop the passengers from boarding U.S.-bound flights

Watching the network news coverage at the airports last night and the statements and the giddy women in boston all make it look to me like the enemedia wants to fuel some sort of civil war.
The UK, which I suppose cannot call a spade a spade anyway under their speech restraints is treating the attack as indicative of Islamophobia.
Did hear yesterday that the brave young man killed in yemen had ties to atlanta. Turned out my husband, oldest, and the people we watched the seattle-falcons game with had all had drinks with him on visits. It certainly reframes the hysteria from yesterday to remember this truly is a mortal threat.

UK Daily Mail provides this Headline: Police arrest two students over the murder of six people shot dead in Quebec City mosque carnage where killers ‘shouted Allahu Akbar’ before ‘terror attack on Muslims’
Two men arrested over a gun massacre that left six dead at a Quebec City mosque were both students from the local university, it has emerged....
...Police have since arrested two people - understood to be students from Quebec's Université Laval - but the investigation is ongoing. One suspect was detained at the mosque and the other was caught after a chase that ended near l'île d'Orléans around 15 miles from the scene.
According to Le Soleil...searches have since taken place at two addresses in the city and that one of the suspects is of Moroccan origin.
Too early yet to trust much of anything as definite, but...

daddy,
The Conservative Treehouse had a bunch of people monitoring this through the night. I read down through all the comments early this morning.
This mosque had a pig head placed on its steps last June. No one knows who did it (and of course, it could have been one of the fake hate crimes). It has ZERO to do with this shooting, as near as I can tell.
They found that every single story on this, including from Fox, included the pig head incident, Every darn one!
They are pushing this narrative "Trump's fault" as hard as they can. It's ridiculous.
On Twitter this morning I saw pictures of the two perps. I have not posted them here because I am not certain where they came from and don't want to spread misinformation. IF those are the correct pictures, you are looking at 2 ROP members, one apparently Quebecois and the other an immigrant, both of North African lineage.
I am not going over to the Reddit site because there are a lot of Canadians on that board and there might be some additional information.

Back to this weekend's contentious debate over numbers of illegals voting and how little California does to deter that voting. This was linked to in one of my email Habitat III newsletters but it does seem pertinent to why illegals would have voted anyway beyond preferring hillary.
"Also on the ballot is Measure H, a proposed quarter-cent countywide sales tax to provide services for homeless people. This is the companion to Measure HHH, the $1.2 billion bond measure city voters passed in November to build 10,000 units of housing for homeless and low-income Angelenos. The two measures are designed to help homeless men and women get off the streets and into apartments, supported by the social services they need to help them cope with the challenges that contributed to them becoming homeless in the first place."
If you will benefit under participative democracy theory (all the rage), then you are a 'Stakeholder' and entitled to just as much of a voice (per the theory) as those who will fund your hoped for benefits. Voting is a voice and that's precisely how this all gets justified.
Kim-I linked this over the weekend on my blog, but it contains a tribute to Jay Forester who basically invented modeling of complex social or natural systems. http://static.clexchange.org/ftp/newsletter/CLEx26.1.pdf It was his work the Club of Rome built on and he passed in November.
Notice the confessions I have warned about that ultimately this is all about changing how people think. Much of the same reason for the False Narratives surrounding Quebec and motives and portraying trump's EOs.

Thanks Miss M.
My in-put here is terrible. BBC and CNN International is about it. Ughh.
Really liked your link to General Keane, where in reply to a question asking him if Gitmo being open is still a recruiting tool for ISIS he replied thusly:
Ed Henry: You know that critics in the Bush Administration were saying "Gitmo is Al Quada's biggest Terror recruiting tool.' Now the same song sheet is being used here saying that, "what President Trump is doing will be a Recruiting Tool for ISIS." Do you buy that criticism or no?
Keane: No I don't, and Gitmo never was. ISIS has never mentioned Gitmo, that I’m aware of, one time. And the Institute for the Study of War tracks everything that they say every day. So this is a lot of rubbish that is put out there. Listen, the President of the United States is trying to protect the American people. That is what this is about and I think we should support him in that effort during his temporary ban to put into place a good vetting process.”

talk radio here this morning on Sykes for SC: best guess is Trump's pick will be from the list of 21, but not one talked about by the media; Trump coming somewhere in Milwaukee (Harley Museum or one of the plants?) on Thursday --coincidentally the day the SC pick was to be announced; Sykes a former WI SC judge from Milwaukee, now in Chicago with the 7th Appeals court.

I want to make sure I understand the logic.
Trump's rhetoric and actions re Muslims is responsible for any attack on Muslims by non Muslims even in other countries.
So it follows, as the night does the day that those espousing opposite rhetoric and advocating opposite actions are responsible for Muslim attacks on non Muslims not just here but worldwide, right?
If I go back through the last eight years of media coverage I will see that undeniable logic displayed by our media's marching morons, right?

Some excellent strategy here.
1. Media assumed it would be Thursday.
2. Prime time gets Trump on TV live with nominee, chance to reinforce he IS the president.
3. Removes at least 1 hour of pre-scheduled Trump bashing on news networks.
4. Networks now have to move up their legal analysts and try to figure out who it will be and get up to speed on that person, so they will have to cover all 21 on the list.
Confusion to the enemy!

He is right to treat it as removing the privilege rather than a matter of discrimination.
CH-it is easy for the MSM to manipulate because they are familiar with all the behavioral science research on 'framing' and they get told what frames, memes, lenses, concepts, ideas, and categories have been made the focus of K-12 and then higher ed. They know those memes have been consciously tied to emotions until using that part of the brain to respond to all experiences is an unconscious habit of mind.
On the 27th, ascd came out with a book that explains how to do just that. Not news to me as I already their far more graphic 1992 book, but that is the used term "habits of mind."
The Enemedia knows just how to manipulate those instilled habits and is far more aware of their very presence than most people who have been so manipulated. Not to be personal but your story yesterday of the daughter in Santa Cruz is very much the product of that radically different conception of what being educated is.
This vision of ed is not new. What is new beyond phrasing is the fact that there is to be no way out. I am tired of hammering that point on what School Choice actually means, but I can prove what I am saying beyond ANY doubt whatsoever. No inferring needed. People's own words.

"The left helped create Islamic terrorism; its immigration policies import terrorism while its civil rights arm obstructs efforts to prevent it and its anti-war rallies attack any effort to fight it. In America, in Europe and in Israel, and around the world, to get at Islamic terrorists, you have to go through the left.
When a Muslim terrorist comes to America, it’s the left that agitates to admit him. Before he kills, it’s the left that fights to protect him from the FBI. Afterward, leftists offer to be his lawyers. The left creates the crisis and then it fights against any effort to deal with it except through surrender and appeasement." ~ Sultan Knish

This is the CBN interview with President Trump from last night.
One interesting thing (which goes to evangelical support) is that in the commentary afterwards we learn at the very end that David Brody has done TEN interviews with Trump.
THAT flew under the radar, for sure.

Zerohedge is reporting that this afternoon's executive order will overhaul the H1B visa program.
I have to go pick up a granddaughter who is throwing up. Sigh.

Where was all the outrage from Democrats and the opposition party (the media) when our jobs were fleeing our country?

CH-had an offline discussion with a woman whose kids are at another well-known university and we were talking about how fascistic the student writers are without any understanding that is what they advocate for.
She commented she is seeing the same with 50 somethings on FB as if they want to be hip with their kids. So you are not alone with either generation you are noting.

I receive multiple request for $$ from the GOP, the RPHQ, the MiRP etc. Bleeh.
Today I replied:
30 Jan 17
Dear GOP,
If the GOP wants me to support the party, then the party leadership MUST SUPPORT the President !
This link (1) takes you to a spread sheet of Senators and Governors and their response to the Trump EO (2) on immigration. The spreadsheet includes contact information for each pol. Interesting, almost every Repub is "silent" on stance, save for a notable few including Sen Tom Cotton (R, Ar), Sen Steve Daines (R, MT), Sen Chuck Grassley (R, IA), Sen Todd Young (R, IN), and Gov Robert Bentley (R, AL). SAD !

(2) https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/3431102/Read-the-executive-order-by-the-Trump.pdf
I suspect there will be newer matters which will outrage the perpetually outraged, overwhelming the current outrage over this EO.
If the GOP wants me to support the party, then the party leadership MUST SUPPORT the President !
I will support directly those that support the President.
The Party needs to get its act together.
It is VERY disappointing that so very very few Repubs are standing strong on this matter.
Take good care,
(P.S.: H/T KevKid for that list of how the Senators and Gov support or not the EO )

CNN isn't the only media outlet soliciting sob stories

Good Morning, James.
You know I think I am bored with burning up our enemies while they eat out of trash cans.
We need to think of something more appropriate for the times, don't you think?

Little boy who cried wolf.
The 12 hours of 'implementation confusion' is all in the rear-view mirror.
What else in in the rear-view mirror:
--electoral college overturning the one-man, one-vote
--golden showers in Moscow
--"dark" inaugural address
que mas ?

It is a pro ledge not aright to be here.
Same with the vote.
Starbucks honcho wants to give 10000 immigrants or refugees jobs over the next 5 years here and in other countries.
How many of our college kids and blacks will lose out because they don't possess a victim status?
Posted by: maryrose | January 30, 2017 at 10:14 AM
Should be pro ledge and many over stay their visas instead of trying to be here with government approval.
I would take Trudeau up on his offer but of course not many want to go there because the perks may not as good.

Another example of how the left embraces radical Islamist terrorism: Tulsi Gabbard in her fact-finding trip to Syria with Kucinich. Michael Totten not happy since the same two guys who escorted Tulsi are part of the group who assaulted him in Beirut.
Also, its Ahia based.

I advocate bringing jobs home by domestically producing millions of those Clockwork Orange eyelid grabber thingys and sentencing leftist traitors to watching endless loops of Lena Dunham, Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg clips or John Wayne, Robert Montgomery and Robert Taylor anti communist movies, whichever causes the most psychological stress.

Haven't heard much about Putin 'hacking' the election, either.
Supreme Court reveal and Sessions' vote both tomorrow? That should provide enough air cover for a few other fun directives...

They left out assassinated bashir gemAyel, which led to shatila, giving flathead his first opportunity which he fracked up, blaming the wrong Lebanese militia leader (parent organization of Tulsa's sponsor)

OL:
A two week course of all footage from global terrorist attacks.
Watch 13 hours.
Mandatory reading of hidden Osama Bin Laden papers that Obama covered up because they indicated AlQueda on the rise.
Lies repeated about ISIS and then the proof of how ineffective Bammy was in defeating them.
1979 footage of the hostage crisis and ensuing days.
Force feed the real facts so they begin to realize what we are up against.
An outline of Hillary's plan to combat ISIS if there is one.

A borderless world, like an unsegmented network or unsubdivided ship, is potentially a tightly coupled system, vulnerable to the spread of effects from one component to the whole system. A media which routinely denounces the alleged Russian hacking of the DNC's email must surely see the danger. Counterrorism literature however regularly emphasizes the role that optimal separation plays in fighting armed fanatics. To CT a local government, proxy or other institution is the key to successful Western involvement in an alien culture by keeping the culturally insensitive infidel away from the ummah except in controlled situations.
Optimal separation is the key to success.
One could in fact characterize CT as the "search for the ideal barrier", the desire to obtain a local interface through which force can be applied without giving offense.

That white privledge meme is a crock.
I earned everything I ever got in my life with part time jobs and hard work starting at a young age and finishing with 34 years in education.
My advice to protesters, get a job and get out of my face.

Got a good laugh over this!
Kristin Powers is bemoaning the fact that a Christian family from Syria that was turned away (could have waited but elected to go back) and asking, "Is this what you Evangelical Christians voted for????"
In reply - someone said, "Perhaps they couldn't prove they were Christian. Anyone can say they are Christian. Look at Hillary and Pelosi"

We are impervious to both.
