My big sister is a U Mich alum so I adopted Tom Brady years ago. Also, if Brady et al win this then lots of youngsters can claim to have seen the GOAT at quarterback. Otherwise, we are harking back to Joe Montana, who could play a bit himself. (Unitas and Graham were before my time, but obviously dominant in their era.)
They can't mess around here Stephanie.

Did Brady beat Kurt Warner's passing yardage record?
Posted by: Captain Hate | February 05, 2017 at 10:52 PM
Brady played by the rules and won one without controversy.
Is that why Goodell is being booed?
Posted by: Threadkiller | February 05, 2017 at 10:53 PM
Anyone else catch Goodell shaking Brady's hand saying "That was awesome"?
Posted by: Another Bob | February 05, 2017 at 10:54 PM
"If Julio Jones murders Ryan or Shanahan tonight, it would be in his interest to get me on the jury."
ATL surprised me not coming out in the 3rd to go for the jugular.
Had a feeling ATL secondary was having trouble with the slippery Edelman, Amendola and the 14 catch guy. Lot of holding during that second half.
Head Coach Quinn didn't seem to have game plan for protecting a lead.
As NE's momentum built the youth on the ATL side started to show. And then they got tired. NE style offense gases players quickly. It's easier to play a running team than to be rushing passes 14-20 times on a drive....it's Greco-Roman wrestling and then you get to jog downfield when the passes are caught. Brady had a streak of 10 in a row at one point. Yeetch. Them boys were gassed as the last drive showed in OT.
I miss it. :)

Posted by: Michael (fpa Patriot4Freedom) | February 05, 2017 at 10:56 PM
Brady made sure to find out by doing his job better than anyone could have imagined. In addition to the Super Bowl record comeback of 25 points, Brady surpassed Kurt Warner’s prior record of 414 pass yards and finished the game 43-of-62 passing for 466 yards with two touchdowns and an interception that the Falcons ran back for a pick-6.

The great thing about the sustained booing of Goddell that turned into cheers the instant the trophy was handed off to the Pats, is that it shows people are sharp and paying attention, and that in rare instances like that when generally voiceless people have the opportunity to express their opinion, like in an Election, they take it. That was a wonderful 30 seconds.

Shanahan's play calling was as bad late in the game as it was good in the first half. I hope he's terrible with the 49ers; worse than Chip Kelly, if possible.

Meh. I'm really not much of an NFL fan. I just bought my first Falcon's gear ever last Wednesday... now I can use it for an expensive paint rag.
Braves gear I've got. GaTech gear I've got.
Y'all know how much of an 'ABG' (Anybody But Georgia) fan I am, so wearing ANY red and black is unnerving. I can now revert to normal. :)
Posted by: Stephanie Deplorable Beeotch | February 05, 2017 at 11:25 PM
IMO the only real bonehead play by the Falcons was Ryan's fumble. Seems to me with a 16-point lead at that stage of the game you protect the ball and take a sack. Then they could have punted instead of giving it to the Pats deep in their own territory.
I was also a little surprised there wasn't even a discussion about whether that fumble was a forward pass. It seemed like a close call.
Posted by: jimmyk | February 05, 2017 at 11:29 PM
Atlanta had 540 points in the regular season and the Pats had 441. In the Post season Atlanta had 80 to the Pats 70.
Making a total of 620 to 511 prior to Superbowl. Atlanta added 28 points bringing them to 648 and the Pats added 34 bringing them to 545.
Atlanta Falcons clearly won the popular points while The Patriots cheated to an electoral style "victory."
