More shit on a shingle..

Jim Eagle

Somehow I lost a post in response to Brook's column.

I'll see if I can reconstruct it, but it goes something like this: It's quality versus quantity, David. Trump as a seasoned and successful business executive understands leadership, something you bow-tied pundits have little understanding of since you think the manboy Obama was the greatest gift to mankind since sliced bread.

Except for Elaine Chao, Jeff Sessions, Tom Price and Ryan Zinke, the remainder our beltway outsiders. Two ex-governors in Perdue and Perry plus a good sampling of ex-military bringing leadership and discipline to their departments. You don't need 600 extra-appointees in State with a T-Rex in charge. Same for all the other executive departments.

Can you imagine some mid-level bureaucrat in Fish and Wildlife taking any umbrage with Zinke's mission? Didn't think so. Same for someone like Wilbur Ross. What economist in Commerce is going to lecture or disagree with Ross on International trade and markets? Who has made billions understanding those dynamics vereses some appartchik who writes papers and attends conferences.

Think under Ben Carson, HUD will be writing and conducting musicals or attending Las Vegas conferences? Same for all the departments. You only need strong experienced executive leadership for stage one and then as you see your organization and whether it needs functional shaping you look at filling in the leadership gaps.

I don't think guys like Dr. K, Brooksie, Kristol and all the other NeverTrumpers even understand his style of managment and leadership. Its as if, a space ship has landed and they haven't a clue on how to approach it or understand it or accept it.

Captain Hate

Can Clock Boy be deported now to the shitty parts of Sudan, which is all of it?

JiB, but Trump doesn't understand management by cocktail party invitation. No Trump appointees go to the "A" circuit parties, this is unheard of. Never occurs to them that you can't run anything while drunk.

Would the President call Comey a "nut job" to the Russians?
Who knows what Pres.Trump told the Russians in the Oval Office?

Twitchy Bumpism

Just in case...

The term dry drunk is believed to originate from 12 Step recovery groups. It is used to describe those who no longer drink alcohol but in many ways behave like they were still in the midst of addiction. The dry drunk may be full of resentment and anger. Instead of finding joy in their life away from alcohol, they can act as if they were serving a prison sentence. The only change this person has made is to stop drinking, but in other respects their life remains the same. Friends and family can complain that the dry drunk is almost as hard to be around as they were when drinking.

Ha!

If this was their big bombshell, they sure are running out of ammunition.

Right now everyone on Twitter is calling Comey a nut job.

And my reaction is that which Andrew Breitbart would say: "So?"

matt, deplore me if you must

The Saudis and Gulf Arabs have been talking to Israel for a few years now, ever since they saw Obama selling them all down the river. The Syrian fiasco, the lack of will against either Iran or Hezbollah; the blindness to the random acts of terrorism committed by Hamas.

In the Ummah, no one wants to deal with the Palestinians, and their sell by date may have expired.

The Persians are electing a choice of Hitler Lite or Hitler Classic. Either way the Revolutionary Guards have a huge war chest to fund chlorine bombs and SA-300's for all of their besties.

This is the Hidden Imam Fan Club and the littoral combat ships the Saudis are looking at would be prefect for the Gulf. They are apparently up-gunning them as well, but with great ports all across the Arabian Peninsula resupply will not be an issue.

The Israelis can provide the intel while remaining behind the scenes. Not a huge need for tank columns right now, but THAAD and fighter/bombers give them a better than even chance against the Iranians and their proxies.

And it will lower the per unit cost of LCS's for us. Now if we can just make sure they don't break down we'll be fine.

There has been a lot going on behind the scene and I expect that this trip will be interesting.

If Trump in fact did drop a little bomb on the Soviet ambassador, maybe it was part of our own maskirovka.

Notice that we have heard very little from SecDef Mattis. Trump does not telegraph his moves and Mattis plays for keeps.

Mental/emotional balance is essential. Amazing that so many need be told..

But the Flynn situation has been different, several officials and advisers said. “I was kind of stunned,” one person said. “I asked him. You fired him already. What are you going to do?”

Trump has grown obsessed with defending the tough-talking 58-year old general, repeatedly telling aides and associates in private that Flynn was a “good man.” One adviser close to Trump said he’s heard Trump defend the general using the exact words described in reports of memos written by former FBI director James Comey recording his conversations with the president — and that Trump has told people inside the White House he wished the investigation would go away.

It has left White House officials and outside advisers perplexed: Why is Trump so determined to defend a man at the center of a federal investigation that is damaging his administration, and a man he has accused of lying to his vice president?

Officials say Trump has remained resolute in defending Flynn even though aides, including White House Counsel Don McGahn, have reminded Trump of the Russia investigation and other problems. News reports about Flynn, including his lobbying for foreign governments, haven’t bothered Trump nearly as much as they’ve bothered his aides, senior officials said. News of subpoenas haven’t caused him to lose faith, even privately, associates said.

So what was Mueller's take on his allegedly good buddy Comey Comey Comey Come On's complete shark jumping routine over Shadoobie's email misdeeds?

Did that get an okie doke from Mueller? Does Mueller hold his old buddy in high regard after he usurped the rule of law because LoLo Lynch got on her knees on that Arizona tarmac?

We know in advance that once Mueller disappoints the Media Hyenas and the Deep State UniParty they will howl for his termination for "conflict of interest" because "he knew Comey from before!"

I still remained unswayed from my ill-formed opinion: the special counsel was not a cave. Mueller will be wrapped in red tape over "conflict of interest" and other maneuverings by the animals in question.

They cannot help themselves. POTUS gave them what they wanted. Now they have to eat it. And they just won't be able to as they somehow come to terms with the liklihood that "matters arising" will haunt them--- in government and media sanctuaries like congress and Rockefeller Center.

The harbingers of reckoning of late have been Andy McCarthy types who've said things like prosecute and incarcerate one leaker and that will end that. Same goes for the publishing of alleged classified material and the revelations from Comey's Lonely Hearts Journal and schoolboy memos.

Both sides need to get prepped for the special counsel's questioning or else they will end up getting Libby-ed.

The process favors the truth-tellers. Guess who?

Washington (CNN)White House lawyers have begun researching impeachment procedures in an effort to prepare for what officials still believe is a distant possibility that President Donald Trump could have to fend off attempts to remove him from office, two people briefed on the discussions tell CNN.

White House officials believe the President has the backing of Republican allies in Congress and that impeachment is not in the cards, according to the people briefed on the legal discussions. Even Democrats have tried to calm impeachment talk out of concern it is premature.
But lawyers in the White House counsel's office have consulted experts in impeachment during the past week and have begun collecting information on how such proceedings would work, a person briefed on the matter told CNN.
The White House did not comment for the story.

As this trip unfolds, I am very impressed with President Trump and all the effort that must have been going on for weeks to prepare for this trip and coordinate the agenda with our actions in the region. The President and his Secretaries of State and Defense have been very busy men and moving forward with an impressive plan of action even through all the b.s. that the media have been throwing at him since his election.

The Republicans had better get on board or they'll look even more incompetent than they do now. They may not want this outsider to be President, but they'll be thanking their lucky stars that the American people had the wisdom to elect him as he resolves some of the most difficult problems our nation has ever faced.

On April 20, 2017, one of them reportedly shaved hundreds of meters off its orbit in order to zoom within 1,200 meters of a big chunk of a defunct Chinese weather satellite that China smashed in a controversial 2007 test of an anti-satellite rocket.
By orbital standards, that's pretty close.

The Russian spacecrafts' impressive maneuvers have got observers scratching their heads. No one outside of the Russian government -- and probably the U.S. military -- seems to know for sure what the satellites are for.
Experts say the Russian satellites could be technology-demonstrators. They might also be precursors to orbital weapons.
Either way, the nimble spacecraft are "intriguing," Dr. Laura Grego, a space expert with the Massachusetts-based Union of Concerned Scientists, told The Daily Beast.
Those who know for sure ... aren't talking. The Russian space agency didn't respond to an email seeking comment -- and has barely mentioned the mystery craft at all since late 2014. The U.S. Air Force, which tracks all the world's satellites, issued the same boilerplate statement it released the first time the Russian satellites started moving around.
"U.S. Strategic Command's ... space component tracks Kosmos-2504 and -2499 ... as well as more than 23,000 man-made, earth-orbiting objects every day," Capt. Nicholas Mercurio, an Air Force spokesman, told The Daily Beast.

Stalinist tactic by vindictive BHO vassal Baker: Was Trump's NSC aide sidelined for being too hardline? | Asia Times
Was Trump’s NSC aide sidelined for being too hardline?

The source says Baker, an Obama appointee, opened two investigations regarding Lovinger and moved to suspend his security clearance after Lovinger wrote several memos criticizing how Baker was running the office.

Major issues raised by the memos were how the ONA had strayed from its original mission of collaborating with US allies to assess the challenges posed by potential adversaries such as China and Iran. Lovinger also criticized how ONA contracts for research on dubious subjects were meted out to well-connected contractors, the source said.

“Many of the subjects of the studies were ridiculous on their face, such as when a contractor was paid to watch fifty Chinese movies to identify what made a good leader,” Lovinger wrote in one of the memos obtained by Asia Times.

Baker was appointed to head the ONA by Obama’s Secretary of Defense Ash Carter in May 2015.

As I noted on the other thread, the author of the CBS piece on Armitage filed two stories with the same date and time and only one mentioned the FBI conversation. In any event I wouldn't credit Armitage's defense. He also tried to manage Marc Grossman's FBI interview in the fiz persecution, and was faithless to his president. I see he's still playing dog in the manger:"It’s rare to have that many phone calls to foreign officials, especially to a country we consider an adversary or a hostile power,” Richard Armitage, a Republican and former deputy secretary of state, told Reuters." about Flynn.

Finsally-(1) there are thousands of FBI agents.right now almost 15,000. We have no idea--even if the adminission had been made--it would have worked its way up to Mueller when Comey appointed Fitz or that he would have passed it on. Once AFitz was appointed the agents assigned to the case--reported to fitz, not Mueller and as we know from the trial one "lost his notes" about the first interview with Luke Russert and misres=presented the first Libby interview and then mysteriously resigned and never appeared at trial.
