Does Scaramucci still have the right to sue the pants off CNN or has he given that up by accepting their apology? I would hope he still holds that leverage over their heads.
Watching a repeat of the TdF time trial in Marseille and they have had brilliant weather for all the stages. Such, that some of the most cinematic vistas of France and all its regions are just brilliant. I see big tourism rise for those stages/regions especially along the German, Swiss and Italian borders.
We had planned on going over to Belgium via Zurich and drive up through Germany and back through Lux, France and Geneva. One America News is running this video clip on the New York Times leak that allowed Al Baghdadi to escape our clutches. My transcript:
Tony Thomas, Commander US Special Ops:There were points in time when we were particularly close to him, unfortunately there were some leaks about what we were up to at that time. When we went after Abu Sayef, the Oil Minister, who was very close to him, one of his personal confidantes, he didn't live but his wife did. She gave us a treasure trove of information about where she had just been with Baghdadi in Raqqa, days prior. And so that was a very good lead. Unfortunately it was leaked in a prominent National Newspaper (The Times) about a week later and that lead went dead.
Remind me again why General Sherman's Court Martialing of the New York Reporter was a bad idea.
If Trump and his family are singled out for this when the Democrats have skated, this will be regarded by a vast proportion of the public as selective prosecution further exacerbating the ominous possible results I referred to above.

(Reuters) - U.S. investigators examining money laundering accusations against President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort hope to push him to cooperate with their probe into possible collusion between Trump's campaign and Russia, two sources with direct knowledge of the investigation said.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team is examining Manafort's financial and real estate records in New York as well as his involvement in Ukrainian politics, the officials said.
Between 2006 and 2013, Manafort bought three New York properties, including one in Trump Tower in Manhattan. He paid for them in full and later took out mortgages against them. A former senior U.S. law enforcement official said that tactic is often used as a means to hide the origin of funds gained illegally. Reuters has no independent evidence that Manafort did this.
The sources also did not say whether Mueller has uncovered any evidence to charge Manafort with money laundering, but they said doing so is seen by investigators as critical in getting his full cooperation in their investigation.

Also be sure he has a copy of his x ray with him at college even if it is in an envelope that he himself never looks inside. The x rays are the proof if a reasonable accommodation is needed. Red also used them to get PT from the sports trainers when she developed tendonitis with limited motion in a shoulder.
If he has a car he may also need handicapped parking for a while. For red walking was not a problem when school started. Down a hill with a backpack was hence using closeby handicapped for first 6 months.
On pain, we had to go back to stronger meds as that pain diary I kept showed she took less of the oxycodone than the hydrocodone.
JiB - I grew up in England (in the 60s and 70s) and we always referred to it as the British Open.

...and just to irritate all sides, RG, we also thought the US's description of it's national baseball final as the "World" series was absurd (or worse).

Probably have that to look forward to for the next 4 years (Frederick is going to start Freshman year, correct?).
After watching TdF this morning decided I need to explore that part of France. It is spectacular.
Shortly after I retire, whenever that happens, I plan to take Mrs. Buckeye for a leisurely 2-3 month Euro tour.
I have mentioned this before, but it remains ever germane. In 1982 the Democrat Party and the Republican Party entered into a Federal Court Consent Decree wherein the Republican Party agreed that they would not engage in any activity to prevent vote fraud without the permission of the Democrat Party and a Federal Judge. The scope of the agreement was nationwide.
The Republican Party has no desire to defeat Democrats electorally, as they have agreed to the one-sided election fraud that we observe every time we vote. Which explains both why the Republicans are so p*ssed off at President Donald Trump and all who voted for him, AND why they are doing their best to lose their majorities in both Houses of Congress.
It is far too late to take over the Republican Party. If we are going to have an electoral democracy, it requires an opposition party, which role the Republicans have abjured.
We need a SECOND Party in this country. Because otherwise, no elections do not mean anything and politics reverts to Thomas Hobbes' "State of Nature, red of tooth and claw". Which a actually consider quite likely, as soon as the non-Leftists figure out what the new rules are.
NO MORE BULL: No, it does not seem strange that the FBI did not demand access to the DEM server. The FBI, along with pretty much all Federal Law Enforcement and Intelligence agencies do not work for either the Federal Government, nor are they loyal to the Constitution. They are wholly owned subsidiaries of the Democrat Party, and their actions [and lack thereof] make perfect sense when looked at through that lens.
Honest elections, or at least the belief in them and that functioning policy can be changed by who you vote in and what you vote for or against is the safety valve that releases the pressures built up by having 300 million plus citizens within our borders. That valve gives every appearance of being wired shut.
" ... I lived in England, London, for 6 years,.."
Good for you, JiB - that's about 20 years less than me.
And it's "London, England" not "England, London" btw.
Though maybe it was "England, London" back in 1860?
Man Tran - TK has mentioned that several times and I wondered why even the Stoopid Party would castrate itself willingly with no gain. Wasn't it limited to one state? The link does not work for me.
I can relate. I had an experience as blue four early in my flying career in the UK that was essentially a "do not pair" request. After some confused maneuvers of the formation he was leading, I got read the riot act by the flight lead during the mission debrief that was just way over the top. I went directly into the schedulers and told them that if they ever scheduled me in one of his flights again, I would call in DNIF (Duty Not Including Flying, usually some illness that was a grounding event). For the subsequent year we were in the squadron, I never did fly with him again.
Mooch is a breath of fresh air and Trump is smart to bring in someone who has no motive to stab him in the back, and may even be loyal enough to take one for the new gipper.
It didn't dawn on me while watching the press conference yesterday, but I gather that the ladies weren't too bothered by him, either. And that can't hurt.
Btw, I'm Italian from the City and that's how we shortened names like his, Muccio, etc. I've seen it elsewhere already, but it's legit.
rse, thank you for the advice. BC soph will have some PT when he goes back to school. He does not have a car there. For now we are taking it one day at a time.

I lived in Britain. In fact, I stayed at a HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS!!
In my life, the British have always called it.....THE OPEN.
They also used to call AMERICA....BRITAIN!!!!
Golphophiles may have have always called it The Open but I'm loathe to discount the testimony of a native Britain about what ordinary Brits called it in the multiple decades he lived in his native country.
Man Tran.....blue four was the outer position in a four-ship formation. If you use your fingertips as a layout of a typical four-ship, blue four was the pinkie position. It was usually reserved for the least experienced guy. Blue four was just a nickname for the last position that sometimes got left hanging way outside the formation (out in the blue sky) when maneuvering.
I read down dozens of those tweets from lurkersusies's Brennan link.
Subotai is correct that the Dems are now TWANLOC. It will be impossible going forward to coexist with people who hold this mentality.
If they refuse to accept anyone other than a Rep who consolidates their power, and they will continue to do so, we are inevitably headed for a hot civil war.
They no longer believe in a multi party system, unless they get to approve the parties. They no longer believe in self governance unless they are the only selves who get to govern. They no longer, and haven't for many decades, believe in virtually any of the constitution's tenets.
They have so thoroughly absorbed the 60's radical Frankfurt School shibboleths that they have made themselves the irrational enemies of traditional Americans and America as it has existed up until now and those insane Marxist shibboleths and authoritarianism are now mainstream Dem chatter.

Weather looks great for when Spieth and Kuchar tee it up. Should be protect a 3 shot lead.
Chelsea hammered Arsenal in Beijing today. We love English Premier League soccer here. Go Blues. Conquer Europe this year.

We had planned on going over to Belgium via Zurich and drive up through Germany and back through Lux, France and Geneva. But Frederick is on the football team and they are finishing up weight room and agility moving onto mini-camp then full practice starts August 17. Two a days, M-W-F and one a days Tu-Thu some saturdays are scrimmages.

Attention TK:
From Subotai over on Wretchard's latest --
I have mentioned this before, but it remains ever germane.
It was renewed in 2010.
Here is the text of the decree:
https://fellowshipofminds.f...
Hmmm.

" ... I lived in England, London, for 6 years,.."
Good for you, JiB - that's about 20 years less than me.
And it's "London, England" not "England, London" btw.
Though maybe it was "England, London" back in 1860?
Posted by: Exdemocrat | July 22, 2017 at 06:27 PM
Man Tran - TK has mentioned that several times and I wondered why even the Stoopid Party would castrate itself willingly with no gain. Wasn't it limited to one state? The link does not work for me.

MT,
I have always like the Bull Moose Party. Or, let's bring back the Whigs.

Daddy,
I can relate.

I've seen it elsewhere already, but it's legit.

bunky,
I think you are misreading Scaramucci's comment.
When he says "the politics of gotcha" are over, he means they won't work anymore, not that he expects a kinder, gentler opposition.

I lived in Britain. In fact, I stayed at a HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS!!
In my life, the British have always called it.....THE OPEN.
They also used to call AMERICA....BRITAIN!!!!
Jack for the win!!!
Posted by: GUS | July 22, 2017 at 08:14 PM
Golphophiles may have have always called it The Open but I'm loathe to discount the testimony of a native Britain about what ordinary Brits called it in the multiple decades he lived in his native country.

Man Tran.....blue four was the outer position in a four-ship formation. If you use your fingertips as a layout of a typical four-ship, blue four was the pinkie position. It was usually reserved for the least experienced guy. Blue four was just a nickname for the last position that sometimes got left hanging way outside the formation (out in the blue sky) when maneuvering.

MM: don't think so
Posted by: bunky | July 22, 2017 at 08:25 PM
There is either a war or a Stalin coming.
