James B. Comey, the former FBI director who was fired in May by President Donald Trump, is writing a book about his experience in public service, including his tumultuous and brief tenure in the Trump administration.
Comey has been meeting with editors and publishers in New York in recent days, and he is being represented by Keith Urbahn and Matt Latimer, partners at the literary agency Javelin. The book is expected to go to auction this week, and all the major publishing houses have expressed keen interest, Latimer said.
The book will not be a conventional tell-all memoir, but an exploration of the principles that have guided Comey through some of the most challenging moments of his legal career.
speaking of, I didn't get a chance to peak at silva's latest, but I did skim through brad thor's latest, he chose an interesting villain, one of those scorpions, weaned on the west's largesse, and sort of borrowed an earlier silva plot, reasonably well plotted,

Lunch at anywhere close to the O,mi is pretty pricey (including the Omni). There is a Steak n Shake a short walk north of the Omni.

As for Senator McCain, I'd be less than honest to say I'd be sad if McCain failed to wake up from his blood clot, but the Senator I really am worried about having an "unfortunate accident" is Chuck Grassley, who is one of the only guys in DC actively fighting the good fight. Hope Chuck's got a good food taster.

HillaryClinton can illegally get the questions to the Debate & delete 33,000 emails but my son Don is being scorned by the Fake News Media?
===================================
I maintain that it was the surveillance of his family which sparked his original outrage.
He will not forget Don Jr. being attacked.
I ran across a column which indicates certain positions are not being filled because they are rejecting candidates who were too much on the Never Trump bandwagon. I will go gran that in a minute.

Thank you to all of the supporters, who far out-numbered the protesters, yesterday at the Women's U.S. Open. Very cool!

The sneering set will view this tweet as self-puffery, but I can guarantee you if he didn't point this out, they would be running with "Trump greeted by protesters at his own golf course" stories.

Thank you to former campaign adviser Michael Caputo for saying so powerfully that there was no Russian collusion in our winning campaign.
=========================================
Are all of you aware of this guy Caputo? He was hired to work for the Trump campaign but back i the 90's worked for Clinton and was sent to meddle in elections in ....Moscow!
He spoke up about this and the absence of Russian interference in the Trump campaign and he was rewarded by death threats from democrats.
My treat and anyplace is OK. St Elmo's, Shapiro's, PF Chiang's, The Rathskeller in the Atheneum, YardHouse, Kilroy's, Rock Bottom, Claddagh's, that Jap joint the Mikado, etc. All within easy walking distance for me. Find out what Nate's dying for and let him decide. When's the last time he's had a good steak dinner? He's a growing boy, so St Elmo's with shrimp cocktail beforehand is fine by me since Dennis Miller swore by the place:)
I think we still have each other's E-Mails so we'll play it by ear. My game plan today is to see if I can hunt down a used copy of "The Great Upheaval" in one of the many used bookshoppes in town, then meet my co-pilot at 4 for merriment. Local time 15 minutes after noon, and looks sunny and nice outside.
They have steaks and the world-famous shrimp cocktail (which alas, I cannot eat any more due to an allergy) as well as sandwiches and pasta.
By the way, Nathan's other grandfather used to run the Rathskeller Restaurant. My son's wedding reception was there back in 95. I don't mind going there either, although the food is not a treat for Nate since his Opa, now retired, cooks that stuff every Sunday.
daddy, got about half way through the prelude of "The Great Upheaval" last night. Winik does an excellent job describing the punishment norms and fake news propagation of the day that lead to the Salem witch trials.
I am sure you will want to read that!
Mrs. Buckeye's genealogy searches has produced many interesting snippets about ancestors, and already the book is helping put them in context.
I've walked by Harry and Izzy's a hundred times. That's fine by me. About 9 AM on the 19th I'll wake up and see where we're meeting.
Another Congressman doing good service for us is Dave Brat, the guy who come out of nowhere to defeat Eric Cantor. Paul Ryan is mighty lucky he doesn't have somebody who is as smart and principled as Dave Brat opposing him in his District.
The Baron Trump books have made it to Conservative Treehouse and YouTube. That guy Styxhexenhammer who has a YouTube channel has also done a video on it. He thinks it's some sort of occult thing along with Kek and Pepe.
Myself, I think sometimes we are given signs from God so that our courage won't fail.
Superb Pieces, clarice.
If it hasn't happened already I foresee the Dem argument about the Great Russian scare to devolve to "if Trump n Sons are dumb enough to fall for our obvious, incompetently executed and concocted, intelligence community inspired trap and smear campaign then he has no business being president. IMPEACH HIM FOR FALLING FOR OUR INSIPID INCOMPETENCE!"
Of course he did no such thing, but that hasn't stopped their hinged jaws and unhinged minds yet.
The bottom line is it takes a Potemkin Village to raise an idiot child like Hillary Clinton, and even then they couldn't raise her fat ass a measly half inch to get it over the threshold of the door to the Oval Office.
You brought up such a good point about how you have to work to find reliable information. This is true in so many ways. One of the important benefits of JOM is the ability to get feedback on stories, such as when henry points out stuff about the Wisconsin political landscape or Old Lurker points out perils in certain segments of real estate.
The sad thing is that most people do not have access to that type of feedback, and what's worse, they don't even know that they need it!
Almost everything my dem sister believes about politics is completely wrong. She has BOTH of Hillary's books and knows zilch about Benghazi or the Clinton Foundation, which she believes is a great charity.
When Trump won, she couldn't even TALK to anyone in the family who supported him. She thought we had all gone insane. I am not kidding. She will probably have to be hospitalized if Hillary is indicted, and I am not kidding about that, either.
She doesn't go on the internet. She watches CNN and NBC for her news and reads the local Gannett paper. She thinks she is well-informed.
I don't know what one can do for people like that. We do need to pay attention to the old media and maybe buy one of the networks or something. There is no doubt that although the well-informed are on the internet, there are still large numbers of people who are in a news bubble, without knowing that they are.
August 5 in Athens Steph. The Dashboard Saviours are

Here's a pic to help you quickly locate Clarice's Link which DrJ kindly linked above.

HillaryClinton can illegally get the questions to the Debate & delete 33,000 emails but my son Don is being scorned by the Fake News Media?
===================================

Open. Very cool!
=========================================
The sneering set will view this tweet as self-puffery, but I can guarantee you if he didn't point this out, they would be running with "Trump greeted by protesters at his own golf course" stories.

Bravo Zulu, Clarice.
Great summary of where we have been and where we are in re Russia 24/7.

Information on the refusal to hire those who attacked Trump on social media is down in the last 1/3 of the story.

Thank you to former campaign adviser Michael Caputo for saying so powerfully that there was no Russian collusion in our winning campaign.
=========================================

Good Morning, Miss M,
My treat and anyplace is OK.
Local time 15 minutes after noon, and looks sunny and nice outside.

daddy,
St. Elmo's is not open for lunch. They run a sister restaurant next door called Harry & Izzy's, which is.
Address is 153 South Illinois Street. Here's a gander at their site and menu:
http://www.harryandizzys.com/

As usual Clarice, great job laying out the facts.

Miss M,
I've walked by Harry and Izzy's a hundred times.

Porchlight,
The Baron Trump books have made it to Conservative Treehouse and YouTube.

Clarice,
Another comment on your column from me.
