Simply passing this on as reminder that if you have sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, kids of family friends etc, who are relatively smart and athletic but are directionless and without any idea what to do, they might consider aviation. It's expensive, but it can be done and it doesn't require any more than basically your average B- or C+ student with some initiative. We're going to get the pilots from somewhere and I'd sure rather they be kids from this country well versed in English instead of picking them up from fly by night schools in the Philippines or China, etc.

The bolded sentence is exactly why it should have been repealed. Only after that - if then - would the Dems be willing to work on the replacement. The old fool expects us to believe that if only they were consulted and hearings were held, they'd have cooperated on a replacement.

There is always an After Takeoff checklist. They either neglected to do it, or went thru it verbally or perfunctorily without actually checking that they had actually accomplished the checklist items.

The nutty thing about this is that the very first thing you always do upon getting airborne is raise the landing gear. Nothing comes prior to that---that is the primary action after getting airborne---the instant you get a positive rate of climb going the pilot flying calls "Landing Gear Up, and the monitoring pilot raises the landing gear. It does not get any more fundamental than that.

Going places with my teacher sister is difficult because she is a meanderer. I covered that whole thrift store in 15 minutes but she had to go through every rack of clothing and look at every piece! Argh!

I didn't need any clothing so I was looking for cheap, useful houseware items and happened upon the Cornwe,, book.

Same thing at library. I fount 4 books in 15 minutes and then had to wait on her.

I either got them at Walmart or Sam's Club, but Amazon has them too. My doctor said magnesium works too. I take 99 mg of potassium. I couldn't find the mg on the tumeric. Between D and C and Red yeast rice, potassium etc I think I take 11 pills at night, 2 of which are prescription. But it does seem to be working.

We rarely eat anywhere fancy, so basically she goes for whatever combo is cheap.

She's the one that reads every label in a museum. I more of a "hit the high points" person.

She's a retired art teacher, while my major was geology. She had dolls (and still collects them). I had an electric train and a robot.

She is my closest in age sister, and we do get along, but we are like opposites on a lot of stuff.

Next Thursday is free night at the Art Museum again. We are going to look at the American collection and the fashion collection. I will take a paperback so that I have something to do while she is reading every single label. LOL!
