I love this headline for so many reasons:
Donald Trump would lose 2020 presidential election to Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden, new poll suggests
Senator Elizabeth Warren also beats incumbent in latest survey, as 53 per cent of voters still want Obama in the White House
OMG! Putting the woman last!?! The shred of logic there is that her polling margin over Nearly Pure Evil Adulterated Only By Foolishness (Sorry, just trying to help their editors) is less than Bernie's.
But Joe Biden runs best of all, so why not lead with him? OK, none of these geriatrics will be literally "running" in 2020, but Biden out-polls and out-strolls Trump.
But I like Bernie as the nominee anyway - one old, cranky New Yorker isn't enough.
From the title I thought Bernie was being chased by the FBI (Clinton revenge squad).
Biden would be funnier.

Are these the same pollsters that gave candidate Trump a 1 or 2 percent chance of winning as of November 8th? I'd say at this point, President Trump is still the favorite in 2020 if he chooses to run for reelection (although GOP may so damage its brand that he could be forced into running as an independent). I wouldn't call him a strong favorite given the division that exists in the country (cold civil war is not an exaggeration). But a favorite nonetheless.

Just remember, the same people that put out the polls that backfired on the Dems in 2016 are putting out this crap.

We have to stand as one.
Mistaken premise that “we” are “one”.
We should be, but I’ll be darned if the GOPe has successfully explained to me how they are different from Democrats who misunderstand both economics and political theory.
If someone is not capable of explaining a good reason for policy, it is more dangerous to leave them with their hands on the levers of government than it is to begin to move them out to pasture.

I don't know about strong favorite either, but... it is a measure of the weakness of the Dem Party appeal (and candidates) that they couldn't win as the Peace and Prosperity candidate in 2000 or 2016.
In 2004, Kerry was unlikely to beat the incumbent with a recovering economy (the media bubble really does hurt the Dems, who never seem to have any idea what is happening in Realityville).
In 2008 the notion that McCain would be even a tiny bit competitive would normally have been absurd, given the financial melt-down and unsatisfactory situation in Iraq. But Dems are weak and that race looked winnable-ish.
Similarly, Romney should never have been competitive in 2012, but was.
My point being, Republicans for President run stronger than they ought to. When they are the incumbent, that leads to victory. If Trump has any kind of a decent economy and no hideous foreign policy misadventures (IF!), his re-election will look easy.

Agree with TM at 1:27. It's rare for an incumbent to lose, just as it's rare for a candidate from the same party as the outgoing President to win. The exceptions since WW II were because of Reagan. He defeated Jimmuh and his success enabled "Thousand Points of Light" to follow him, though he was such a pale shadow of Reagan that he only got one term.

This sounds like bizzo as usual in the Trump era.
From Treasury Sec Mnuchin--- (via Bill Bonner): "Mnuchin is hurtling toward his first fiasco, unable to get Congress, let alone his colleagues in the Trump administration, on board with a strategy to raise the federal limit on governmental borrowing. […]
Unlike other issues facing the Trump administration – such as passing a health-care bill and overhauling the tax code – raising the debt limit comes with a hard deadline of late September, according to Mnuchin. Failure to do so could lead the U.S. government to miss paying its obligations, causing what analysts would consider a historic, market-rattling default on U.S. government debt.
“We’re going to get the debt ceiling right,” Mnuchin said in an interview Monday. “I don’t think there is any question that the debt ceiling will be raised. I don’t think there is anybody who intends to put the government’s ability to pay its bills at risk.”

fauxCons will shut up and hold their noses because by then POTUS will own their sorry asses should he survive their treacherous "collusion" with Deep State intelligence operatives and other traitors.

zombie for Speaker of the House:
This case (Charlie Gard) is important because it illustrates EXACTLY what "Death Panels" are, and that they do indeed exist.
The governing board of Great Ormond Street Hospital in this case are acting as a Death Panel and demanding that this child be killed.
And under socialized medicine, THE PARENTS HAVE NO RIGHTS and can NOT overrule the death panel.
This should send a chill through the US. This should spell the end of Obamacare and the single-payer fantasy.

They're not AFRAID to end the idea of government-run Death Panels. They have no problem with them; they just want to be the ones running them (and be exempted from the panels themselves, of course).
I'd much rather we were ruled by cowards, because if they are swayed by fear, we can bring them over to our way of thinking - we just have to sufficiently terrify them.

Mrs H is enjoying being with the grandkids because they're at a good age (5 & 2) to do things with. She packed some art supplies which they've almost used up. The two year old, Annika, works with her without getting distracted.
Teddy gets as hammered by the hot weather as I do. He loves playing with toys; we recently started getting these monthly Bark Boxes which contain 3 toys and two packs of treats and all are well enjoyed. I took him to the standard poodle's enclosed back yard on Saturday and he spent half the time playing with them and the other half playing with their unused toys.

"Scaramucci said this would happen on June 9, 2017 on FOX.
Scaramucci said they underestimate the president and how quick he is on feet. How long term he is in strategic thinking. Next move is to clean this out. He tried it the Washington way for at least the first 4 – 5 months and it didn’t work. Now he is going to these people and try it the trump way and see very positive results. You will see effective results and change coming from the president over the next 2-3 months. "

Cruz : the key to getting all GOP senators together is lowering premiums."
See, that thinking by itself is the problem.
The uniparty can get the premiums down by a) single payer, or b) massive grants to "insurance" companies so feds can subsidize the premiums, or c) grants one way or the other to favored citizens, or d) massive intervention in the pricing of medical goods and services.
ANY of those will "get the premiums down".
ALL of them will be disastrous for the country and for the medical industry.

TLG,
Does that spring him from the hospital?

Huh? How could that happen when you wear the same clothes for a week or two straight?
I used to irritate my mom when I was 10 or so for exactly that reason Iggy.
I figured my jeans were getting dirty when they would stand up by themselves in the corner :)

Sounds like a super meetup! I'm envious. Hope y'all get to do it again sometime.

Porchlight,
I wish we all lived closer. I wish I had a better car, too, so I could drive up and see henry, gus, and Chitown Lurker.
And if I could travel that far, I could go the opposite direction and see Beasts and you.
I am fortunate daddy's work brings him through here ever once in a while, as well as CL driving down from Chicago, which was a real surprise!
