This is in the top spot at Memeorandum so I guess its news but I am not sure why:
Anthony Scaramucci On Hot Mic: I Called On CNN To Send A Message To Jeff Zucker
...
After his interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Scaramucci confirmed that he spoke on the phone with Sam Feist, CNN’s Washington bureau chief.
According to the transcript, Scaramucci offered pleasantries about when the two could get together before moving on to business.
“I called on Sara on Friday for a reason. I want to make sure you know that,” Scaramucci said, referring to CNN White House correspondent Sara Murray, according to the transcript. “But then I went on Breitbart after that for a reason,” he added, referring to a Saturday interview on Breitbart’s radio broadcast where he praised the right-wing site.
“I’m trying to deescalate the tension across the entire media spectrum,” Scaramucci told BuzzFeed News in an interview on Sunday night. “Breitbart would be on the right and CNN would be on the left. I intentionally sought out both to send a symbolic message that we are trying to deescalate.”
“The president feels that 97% of [CNN’s] coverage is about him, and 93% of the 97% is decidedly negative. We’re hoping that we can change it,” Scaramucci told BuzzFeed News.
Politico is having kittens about praise for Breitbart so maybe that's the problem.

I don't give a flying fig what Ben Shapiro thinks about anything, let alone what opinion he has of me and my politics.

From the last thread: Turns out 16 of the 23 million is always because the mandate goes away: in other words they voluntarily quit doing what they had been forced to do against their will.
From what I understand, a large part of the increase in enrollments is from growth in Medicaid, and a big chunk (possibly >50%) of that is from people who were already eligible without the expansion. In other words, there were millions who were eligible before but for whatever reason had never enrolled. They are not likely to withdraw just because of repeal.
I don't have a link because this is what Mrs K tells me, and she follows the health care industry professionally.

Shapiro is full of shit.
The first premise is indubitably true.
The second is false but not in the way he implies. Nobody is advocating cheating; we're advocating stopping Dems from continuing to cheat and to do so forcefully.
The third is obviously true because their stated goal is to do just that.
And so his conclusion is full of shit because his take on the three premises is as stupid as he is. Nor is there even any backwards logic to it. How one acts is dependent on the scenario one faces. We waged total war in WWII because of the nature of our enemy.
So sophomoric it's freshmanic.

And then he screwed Scooter and empowered government by pretend investigation.

Old Lurker,
My personal opinion goes back to two things on W:
1. His inordinate humility born of a family dynamic which emphasized not bragging (from his iron-willed grandmother) and his being sent off to Choate when he was 13, leaving Jeb at home to become his mother's favorite.
2. When he won the nomination and the election, he didn't attribute ANY of that to his natural political talents (which were considerable since he also had the gift of relating to the average guy) and instead to the wonderfulness of his consultants. Do not kid me that Karl Rove didn't milk that for all it was worth.
There were too many consultants, too many people who were owed favors, too many of his dad's friends whispering advice from the sidelines, and of course, his unwiliingness to fight back.
It is sad, because the first 3 years of his presidency I thought we would see greatness. He just couldn't do it, though.
Jeb is another horse altogether. I firmly believe the mess in Florida was a passive-aggressive result from Jeb not clamping down, so that his brother wouldn't win Florida. I have thought that for years and his behavior since this last primary pretty much confirms what I am thinking.
I also would like to point out that his wife must be pretty afraid of him if she would rather risk arrest from US Customs than to actually declare the value of the items she was bringing in and pay the duty.
I will now put up my "Psychiatric Advice 5 cents" sign like Lucy, which is about all this is worth, but it is what I think. Captain Hate can tell you I was a firm backer of Bush 43 long after others had started to leave the ship, so I have thought on this long and hard.

To my great sorrow Sleazy Adam Schiff is my very own Congresscritter. And since the district has been gerrrymandered (turning a formerly "safe" Republican district into a yellow dog Democrat district) the Schiffster will be my Congresscritter forever and a day.
Schiff is or at least was a sort of "best and brightest" young Democrat when first elected. His mission in 2000 was to defeat the incumbent Congressman Rogin--who had led the Clinton impeachment effort on the floor of the House. The Dems declared jihad on Rogin, and poured money into what was then the most expensive House election history. They were going to "get" Rogin--and they did.
Fast forward to 2010 or so, and Obamacare had been passed; the Dems were going out to defend it in town hall meetings. Schiff being reasonably bright and presentable was put out at one of the early town halls to see if the town hall strategy worked. I attended that town hall. It was held outdoors and the area was packed with SEIU union folk who had been bussed in. Schiff had a lot of help and support from other speakers on the platform and did sorta okay. It was funny when the clock turned to 8:00 pm. The day's shift done, all of the SEIU and other union worker types left the town hall to get back on the bus to go back to wherever they came from. The Tea Party types (of which I am one) stayed for the conclusion of the town hall. We weren't punching a clock so to speak. The Dems assessed Schiff's performance--which was about as good as they were going to get from any Democrat congressperson--and concluded that town halls weren't such a good idea.
Schiff is now back in Congress for his 9th term. He's getting long in the tooth--but seemingly has become even sleazier with the passage of time. He's taking his verbal cues from Debbie Ding Dong Wasserman Schultz, Alan Grayson and Tom Perez. He'll say anythng, anytime to anyone--without reference to the truth or facts.
But God Love Him--and bless his sleazy little heart, he's going to be my Congresscritter forever--unless I move.

Patterico explains in Red State how deep and pathetic their opposition to Trump is based on their own self worth that the rest of the country don't have.

To my great sorrow Sleazy Adam Schiff is my very own Congresscritter.
I feel for you. Mine is Jerry Nadler.

Mine (and Janet's) is used car salesman Don Beyer, but before that, it was the odious Jim Moran.
So we feel your pain also.

I love it that the President is taking on Schiff.
He's my Congressman and what a disappointment he is especially since he and Hollywood pushed out our favorite, James Rogan. As Frau knows, this District's demographics are constantly undergoing change. I imagine that in a few years Congressman Schiff will not find reelection so very easy.

To my great sorrow Sleazy Adam Schiff is my very own Congresscritter. And since the district has been gerrrymandered (turning a formerly "safe" Republican district into a yellow dog Democrat district) the Schiffster will be my Congresscritter forever and a day.
Hey Comanche Voter,
It's pretty lousy isn't it to have no real representation in D.C. No senators; no congressman.
In response to a letter I sent him once, Schiff referred to himself as a "Blue Dog Democrat" - as if that was supposed to reassure me that he really wasn't as bad as he seemed.
It's a total waste of time trying to contact his office. It's staffed with young people barely out of school, with attitude. Any inquiries are followed by multi-paragraphs long letters which try very hard to justify Schiff's views. Well, at least he keeps the little critters busy.

An insightful thought about the tragic Charlie Gard situation from a commentator at Instapundit:
Obviously, in The Grand Scheme of Things, if you are an administrator in a Single Payer system, if you wait long enough, the issue resolves itself, because the patient dies or reaches a state of health where help no longer matters. But who is in charge of the clock?
We see, now, that the single payer admins want to remain firmly in charge of the clock. When they can spend public funds, your tax dollars at work, to buy delay and obfuscation, what chance does a mere citizen or subject have?

From the radio, bunches of old warbirds featuring bombers (and a few newer ones like the B1B and B2).

Way behind, but just read the Kurt Schlicter article from the other thread and I am whole-heartedly behind his strategy: Trump Needs To Be Smart About How He Fires Mueller
Time to go on offense, but do it wisely.

Re: George W: His inordinate humility born of a family dynamic which emphasized not bragging (from his iron-willed grandmother)...
Miss M.,
One of the things that still annoys the heck out of me about GW is his habit of telling audiences to stop applauding and sit down as soon as he takes the podium. This was especially annoying after 9/11. Yes, the people were applauding him as our president, but what he never seemed to understand was that he represented "us" - the American people. We were cheering him, but mostly we were showing support for our country and our soldiers.
He still has this annoying trait. I don't believe that he ever really understood what he represented. Either that or the brow-beating that he took at home that you mentioned above must have been grueling. Perhaps a combination of both. Such a shame.
P.S. JeB! is a dolt. How he ever became the family darling totally escapes me.
