On the press conference. Trump was sane. The press were demented. They need to be put in rubber rooms and monitored so they don't harm themselves. They've gone beyond narrative into fantasy land.
The press pretends it is neutral, and gets offended when it is correctly identified as "enemy" and "subversive." The press isn't going to change, and Trump isn't going to fall for it "neutrality" fiction. It's war. And Trump is going for the win.
Through my pal Thomas Wictor on Twitter, I ran across this guy who often exchanges comments with him. He is the author of a new book "Gander", which you can read about here.
Has't someone said this will be the the next step?

I wish I were a billionaire. I would commission about 500 Trump statues and wherever they removed a Confederate statue, I would have a Trump statue put up overnight.
I am stunned to see Trump's visual aid for infrastructure-- the 10 year minimum flow chart for regulatory approval to be cut to 2 years max to yes or no. Part of the Foxconn deal in WI was a similar streamlined path through permits. It is the main reason every Democrat in WI will vote and campaign against $10 billion in investment and 30,000 high paying jobs. No wonder deep state hates Trump and Walker. They both shove the petty tyrant gov compliant consultants out the door. This is a huge win if it gets past Congress.

One of the things I have noticed over the years is the deterioration in textbook quality, both in information and language.
I used to collect old textbooks just to satisfy my itch to be able to PROVE education was deteriorating. This started when my son was in high school and thought that the Dunkirk evacuation was from somewhere up around Denmark. The reason he thought that was because there wasn't a dang map in his entire history book!
If you browse an antique or used book store and run across one of these older books, pick it up and take a look. You will be stunned at the difference when compared to modern books.
Newer editions of old favorites get "updated" as well. The mice dressed as American Indians in a Richard Scarry book were disappeared because they weren't PC. I was so mad I went on eBay and bought the older editions to save.
Libraries also purge books, so if it is an older edition it either gets sold or thrown away.
This is why I dislike Kindle as a sole source of reading. You never know when things will be "fixed."

Roy Moore, Sen. Strange Head to Runoff in Alabama GOP Senate Primary
Evangelical conservative Roy Moore was leading in a special Senate election Tuesday, out-polling Sen. Luther Strange despite support for the incumbent from President Donald Trump and the GOP establishment in Washington.
GOPe will paint Moore as too far to the right and will spend like crazy to pull him down.
The only thing Congress is good for is naming Buildings after hemselves. Trump should issue an executive order to study the renaming of Federal Buildings like Janet stated above about all the Robert Byrd named buildings. Same thing with the William Fulbright Buildings. Let the Democrats take Trump to court to state that he can not take Byrd's name of Buildings.

β β¦ today is the fifth anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. DACA is President Obamaβs lawless amnesty diktat. It enables adult illegal aliens who claim to have come to the U.S. before age 16 to get work permits, Social Security numbers, driverβs licenses, etc. Nearly 800,000 people have done so.
Candidate Donald Trump promised to end DACA on βday one.β Like much of his campaign rhetoric, the promise was empty. DACA remains in place. β
--Iggy-Thomas Wictor did a still shot series of that car and came to an opposite conclusion on twitter the other day.--
OK, but it's gettin close to 'who am I gonna believe, Wictor or my lyin eyes' territory with those videos.
In the first video the Challenger is clearly crawling along until the guy hits it with a baseball bat and the crowd closes in around him and then he takes off, seemingly trying to avoid the crowd at first. In the second video he crashes into the car in front and the crowd is bashing his car in and he backs up. If his intention was killing, there were sidewalks completely full of people to either side of the car he hit but instead he backs up though many fewer people at a much lower rate of speed and runs.
If I was a juror and I was shown those videos I would have a hard time not forming reasonable doubt about anything besides maybe involuntary manslaughter. Not sure what the law is, but is a guy even responsible for involuntary manslaughter if a crowd starts bashing his car and he fears for his life? If he was running from a crowd swinging baseball bats, seems to me the guys with the bats ought to be on trial for the girls death.
Not sure what the law is, but is a guy even responsible for involuntary manslaughter if a crowd starts bashing his car and he fears for his life?
That, of course, depends on his race and political affiliation. You know better than that.
Seriously, I think in normal times juries would be pretty forgiving on this even if it were prosecuted. (Think Bernard Goetz, which was different in detail but not in spirit.) And we've seen juries that buck PC media madness, as with St. Trayvon and St. Michael Brown. So six months from now in a different venue I think he'll have a chance to make his case on the merits.
Everybody has to jump on the bandwagon. At Fort Warren in George's Island in Boston Harbor there is a memorial to 13 Confederate soldiers who died there while being held as POWs. Now there's a push to get it removed, perhaps to be placed in a museum. Narciso will enjoy the 6th name.
If I had to bet, I'd say that Moore prevails in the runoff. McTurtle spent about four million to keep Strange and it will likely backfire. Both Brooks and Moore took Mitch - and by proxy, Strange - to task for not repealing Obamacare. The ads bought by the senate fund were ridiculous. Alabamans - like most Southerners - don't much cotton to being told what to do by outsiders...
Dare I say...

LOL, Ignatz!
I am the all-time champ of typos.
Part of it is that my computer keyboard is so old that some of the letters have almost worn off. (I am not a touch typist.)
Also, I always forget to hit preview.

That would be Buford, Moore certainly had a following among mist parts of the conservative coalition

Without Binging I will add that Ms. Baez sang
"I swear by the blood below my feet..." instead of "...mud below my feet."
Kind of amazing she never got a copy of the lyrics and just sang what she (thought) she heard.

I'd vote for Roy Moore because he is BRAVE.

Sad to see this article at PowerLine.
http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2017/08/daca-at-the-five-year-mark.php
β β¦ today is the fifth anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Re. the car crash, anyone else noticing the C'ville narrative change?
Sunday-Monday it was all about the "murder", I read one moron call it "The Charlottesville Massacre".
Late yesterday and today it was nothing but OMG NAZIS, TRUMP. As if people know the "murder" story is about to evaporate.

Speaking of screwed-up cover songs, Black Sabbath did a cover of this song on their first album.
Leave it to Ozzy to not only screw up the lyrics, but get the line wrong that was the whole point of the song, and is what the title describes.

And that was not a political comment - just a regional interest aside. ;)
