Normally we don't need to venture abroad to find worthy candidates for the Darwin Award, but these anti-bullfighting activist could have given this a bit more thought.

I think you have to die (or at least be rendered sterile) to be eligible for the Darwin Award. Otherwise my "sunscreen on eyeballs" folks from the last thread would be good candidates.

So glad to see the Uniparty concept go mainstream. It always bugged me that after Reagan showed the GOP how to win landslide elections, they wheeled out their father's Oldsmobile to barely win or lose. It took me a while to figure out why that was. Mark Levin was very helpful.

Trump is trying to flip the script and truth be told, to coin a phrase, the caterwauling he is causing is from a guy who is doing the barest of minimums of what truly needs doing to drain the sprawling swamp.
But, if there is no follow up from a Trump2 or if the electorate rewards these scum-suckin scalawags with reelection the swamp will continue to suck us all under until, close to drowning, the people decide to manually and violently drain it themselves.

Anyone watching Trump's presser with Pres of Finland? John Roberts asked Trump about pardoning Sheriff Joe and Trump named several of the criminals who had been pardoned by Clinton & Obama!! Good for him!!!
Also please pray for some good friends of mine Steve & Kerry. They are in an area where water from the reservoirs will be released and will probably flood their home. They are not evacuating and I'm really worried about them.

The GOP's only hope, at this point (hopefully), is the fact that the Dems are jumping the shark so much on the cultural issues and alienating the majority of normal Americans but there's still no viable alternative for voters to turnm to. So, we're left with which is worse? Full blown violent crazy, or just the slow-witted crazies?

The Congressman for The Hamptons and all the way down Island past Ronkonkoma is Lee Zeldin a big time Trumped. The "Hoi Polloi" are losing their collective minds (of course). His base is west of the canal and its solid. So, what's the Dems plan for 2018? A young 30 year old tatted up bartender in Westhampton Beach.
They ran a lady last time who was the Southampton Town supervisor who all thought was super strong. She never showed her family in ads. Every Zeldin ad has his family, old photos of him serving in Iraq and the flag. Covered her 65-35.
But he's with Trump and they think a bartender is the answer but only if one of his tats is the flag:)

WHO exactly? Those agencies, organizations, businesses, etc can't speak. People speak, so name them.

A comment from reddit the_donald -
"Finally, and perhaps most importantly, it is a degree of separation and a barrier used in MSM memetics. It isn't "David Brock" who is spoken about in a news article - it is "Media Matters". MSM never names the PEOPLE involved in stories. They always go a level up to the corporate name, administrative agency name, college name, court name (why don't they ever name the judges or lawyers?). That way, you think you got the news, but you never got the names."
I think that is a good point.

I know four of these women, all from the English department, who are harassing the student conservative. The last one with the dense placard is an undergraduate who when I was teaching Great Expectations last fall came to me with the fascinating revelation that the novel presaged the election--Trump, you see, was just like Orlick, the murderous rejected apprentice at Jo's forge. I asked if that made Hillary Miss Havisham (the only likely choice), and, very surprised, she said no--Hillary is Pip! So Drudge has one headline: "LEAK: Mueller Eyes Trump Role In Crafting Don Jr. Response..."
NBC excerpt:
"The initial response by Donald Trump Jr. that was drafted aboard Air Force One described the 2016 meeting as "a short introductory meeting. I asked Jared and Paul to stop by. We primarily discussed a program about the adoption of Russian children that was active and popular with American families years ago and was since ended by the Russian government, but it was not a campaign issue at the time and there was no follow up." "
Then NBC states:
"A person familiar with Mueller's strategy said that whether or not Trump made a "knowingly false statement" is now of interest to prosecutors. "
(I assume by Trump they mean the President)
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/mueller-team-asking-if-trump-tried-hide-purpose-trump-tower-n796746
My question:
What was the false statement?
Did investigators demand what needed to be included in this early PR statement from Trump Jr?
Is the racist/Nazi/antifa crap backfiring so they need to resort to fake Russia story again?
If the FBI and Mueller have not found anything to charge after a year now do they just keep going until something new is maybe found?

Clarice,
Thanks for that Michael Crichton lecture.
I was one of those schoolkids who noticed how Africa and South America lined up. By the time I got to college Wegener's theory had been proven and expanded into geosynclines at the edges of the continents. I was so happy to read that his theory had been accepted before he died.
When I was in high school I read "The Cry and the Covenant", which is a novel based on Semmelweiss's life. I was pleased to see Crichton used his difficulties as one of his examples.
Really excellent article!

Maybe she needs to change her major; I'm not sure to what but she's obviously not very good at this one.
I recommended that to a student once when I was a TA. He just could not accept anything as "true" -- the ideal gas law is one -- and would not even accept the concept of a mass or Avogadro's number.
I suggested he try Philosophy. He was not cut out to be an Engineer or Scientist.
