Say what?
James Comey started drafting statement exonerating Hillary Clinton before FBI interviewed her, aides
C'mon, we all knew that the Obama DoJ was never to allow a thorough investigation of Hillary culminating in her indictment but I thought former FBI head Comey would at least maintain something like the facade of a pretense.
frist!

One of my sisters was also late to the Trump train. In fact, she wouldn't even support him after he won the nomination. You should hear her now! She was won over during the campaign after the convention, and is a die hard Trump supporter. When you have my sister in your corner, you have THE seal of approval. OK, since we now know, officially, that Comey is a corrupt, lying ratfucker who instigated the Special Council investigation with lies, leaks and corrupt scheming, what possible reason is there to allow it to continue?
Why on Earth is AG Sessions right now not calling a press conference to announce that, since his recusal was based on a flawed reading of the law, and since Mueller was appointed based on lies from a self-serving crook, he's un-recusing himself and terminating Mueller, effective immediately?
The Dems and the MSM would scream, but who cares? They're doing that at the top of their lungs 24/7 anyway.

We all had our come to Jesus moment; Miss Marple, Porch and Clarice all jumped on the Trump train before I did. Believe it or not, I think the crowded primary field was quite effective at helping Trump hone his game. There's no way to know that for sure but other than those idiotic nineballs at the Poop Scoop and Tepid, I don't know of any major lasting animosities from other primary candidates that hurt him. maryrose and I were Cruz supporters; box was for Jeb; JiB was for Walker iirc and I'm not sure of anyone else. You are all wonderfully generous. Thank you.
Posted by: Porchlight | August 31, 2017 at 06:13 PM
James D. - a couple points. I don't believe Sessions' recusal touches the prosecution of Comey. Sessions recused from cases against the Trump campaign (he can't investigate himself, roughly), and from cases against Hillary and the Clinton Foundation, because he appears to be prejudiced against them.
As for timing, I think the corrupt parts of the FBI have sequestered the evidence from the DoJ, precluding them from making a case. That dam is breaking open now.
And too, the public can and should pressure Congress to impeach Comey and Lynch for this. The remedy isn't criminal, but Congress ought to see to it that these two aren't allowed to hold federal office. I'm not sure the Senate would convict, but the DEMs who don't so vote are signaling they are not opposed to corruption in government.

Someone really needs to ask our Attorney General: what the hell, Jeff?
Yeah, they're Obama holdovers doing this crap. Yeah, he can't just fire them all. Yeah, we have to be patient. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't care anymore.
Sessions is in charge. It's his department. He's ultimately responsible for what it does - and for whatever mischief out of control employees get up to, as long as he's not doing anything to stop them.
He needs to get his house in order, regardless of how many trusted staff he's got, regardless of how dirty his toga might get, regardless of anything. Either fire the saboteurs and malcontents and Obama moles and all the rest of them; or reassign them to unpleasant duty in the most distant and crummy postings available; or just keep paying them but cut off their computer access and padlock their offices. However he does it, he has to MAKE THEM STOP THE DAMAGING THINGS THEY'RE DOING!
Otherwise he's on the hook for all of it. That's the price of the job, and he knew that perfectly well when he accepted it.

New scam: corporate and charity giving limited by hate group lists created by SPLC.
Said group looking even more unethical.
http://freebeacon.com/issues/southern-poverty-law-center-transfers-millions-in-cash-to-offshore-entities/
The SPLC has turned into a fundraising powerhouse, recording more than $50 million in contributions and $328 million in net assets on its 2015 Form 990, the most recently available tax form from the nonprofit. SPLC's Form 990-T, its business income tax return, from the same year shows that they have "financial interests" in the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, and Bermuda. No information is available beyond the acknowledgment of the interests at the bottom of the form.
However, the Washington Free Beacon discovered forms from 2014 that shed light on some of the Southern Poverty Law Center's transfers to foreign entities.

Good CEO's don't like to meddle in the affairs of their Direct Reports until those affairs start to reflect on the CEO or the Company. Then a good CEO fixes it.

daddy, the criminal gangs in Japan wear tattoos.
Note from a friend to meon the Grassley-Graham letter: Wow, that's some letter. How did you like the bit about how "OSC closed its inquiry after Mr. Comey's removal pursuant to its standard policy of not investigating former government employees." One of the biggest instances of political/legal corruption in recent years, and as long as you become "former" you skate? I think you can see in all this the role that people like Rybicki play in keeping the FBI in line with the political operatives at DoJ and the WH, guys like him who shuttle back and forth between positions at DoJ and the FBI. And you can see how the actual investigators get frozen out of the decision making process, with several layers of lawyers insulating Rybicki from them.
I'd say Grassley really nails Comey and his gang to the wall. Of course Wray had nothing to do with all that, but Grassley is clearly putting Wray on notice: drain the swamp or else.

Here is Sally Quinn in a Washington Post story from 1989 dumping on Nancy Reagan for using an Astrologer: NANCY REAGAN LOOKS BACK IN ANGER
...(I was looking for astrologer Joan Quigley in the index, I swear!)...But wait. Whose ideas were these, anyway? Nancy's or her astrologers', including Joan Quigley? (According to sources close to the Reagans, both of them consulted astrologers long before they came to the White House.) Who was really running the country, anyway? Nancy claims that she only started consulting Quigley after her husband was shot and says it was a crutch, her way of coping. But she also claims she only talked to her once or twice a month. Quigley has said that she spoke with Mrs. Reagan two or three times a day, and CBS reports that she had Quigley on a $3,000-a-month retainer. (Think of all the clothes she could have bought with that. At least one and a half Galanos dresses!) Quigley claims that it was her advice to Nancy about Gorbachev's chart that persuaded Ronald Reagan to initiate a closer relationship with the Russians. This is not to mention Quigley's advice on the timing of everything from takeoffs and landings of Air Force One to the signing of treaties. I happen to have an interest in astrology, but if Quigley is telling the truth, Nancy Reagan's dependency, and ultimately the president's, is frightening and shocking.
Hey Sally, say "Hey" to Ben Bradlee next time you see him, you massive hypocrite.
