As near as I can tell it's simply a couple of guys who write "stuff we hear" without any real evidence. Very few named sources. Most stories are based on palace intrigue and written to make President Trump sound irrational or a buffoon.
The level of excitement by DC reporters when the site debuted was a tell.
Axios BS is weak. Those boys need a lesson from a high-powered liar.
LYDIA POLGREEN, EDITOR IN CHIEF, HUFFPOST: You know, earlier today on "FOX News Sunday", Rex Tillerson said that, effectively, the president speaks only for himself, he doesn't speak for the country.

Nut job Louise Mensch trolled by person posing as insider with the NY AG's office, peddling fake Trump investigation stories. When even Al-Guardian eviscerates a lefty mental case like Mensch, it's pretty delicious.
Today, Louise Bagshawe is Louise Mensch, a show-woman and a fantasist of world-class ability. No longer a member of Parliament, Mensch now lives in the United States, where she spends at least 18 hours a day filtering current affairs through the mind of Edward Lear.
Good morning. How about a quick piece of humor this morning that uses Key&Peele to make a point I doubt they contemplated when they conjured up a beautiful script:
I laugh my ass off every time I see this clip. Is it just me or . . . no, it is clear in the video, isn't it? Reagan was the Great Communicator. And Obama? How can you watch that video and not see him as the Great Perpetrator? In Game of Thrones I loved the character of Oberyn and I especially loved his fight scene with The Mound. It was flashy, it was stylish, it was great entertainment. But, in the controlling script, it was ultimately futile and he was killed. I was *not* happy about that.
That level of unhappiness is probably mirrored by those on the left when they watch *this* video that already seems to be from a time long, long ago:
Amazing how much one consequential election can change, isn't it? And Obama's translator, playing off of the Game of Thrones theme in the script, confidently claiming that Khaleesi (Hillary Clinton) is coming to Westeros (America) in the 2016 election? Think again, bitch.
Man, they were so incredibly overconfident. The satisfaction I get from watching these videos now is off-the-charts crazy.
My take on what I heard Tillerson tell little Chrissie is that his job is not to fawn over or defend the President. President is a big boy who can take care of himself.
Feeding the WH chaos narrative requires lots of truth bending.
Buckeye - I heard Tillerson defend the president, and imply that Wallace was the one out of tune with reality. Wallace's entire premise relied on legitimizing ginned-up outrage. Tillerson was having none of that.
And so, the press will get its revenge by ginning up another conflict where none exists.

How do you dispose of all the water-damaged drywall, and furniture, and clothing, and papers and such? They will have to send trucks of debris to other states' landfills.
How many roads have suffered severe damage? When we had that flood event here due to excessive rain, a section of road near my house was lifted from the roadbed and deposited 20 feet north of its original site.
How are they going to get kids to school? They are scattered all over the area, and how many schools are usable?
1. Joel Osteen slammed for not opening church to flood victims. Down near the end of the story it happens to note that an Osteen spokesman said while the church is as yet undamaged, it's inaccessible because of surrounding flood waters.

"Captain Hate
I know so little of jazz, though I've tried."
It's not for everybody, obviously, and there was a long period of time for me where nothing made a damn bit of sense. Your experience with In A Silent Way makes me believe that you're open to it but just have to have the light go on for whatever reason. Seeing it performed in clubs is best but if you're not enjoying it the experience is sheer misery.
In college for 2 years I worked nighttimes at the main Live Music bar just off campus on the main drag. Initially 7 nights a week nothing but hard rock bands---excellent talent, lot of great bands just below the level of hitting it big and doing concert hall size venues, so small (200-400) folks, and the music awful loud. I poured beer and made sandwiches at the deli inside.
About 6 months in, the boss decided to change Sunday to Jazz night. I knew little about Jazz but instantly became a fan. After 6 nights of continual hard rock pounding at volume 11, it was the equivalent musically of giving a drink of cold water to a thirsty man in a desert. Marvelous tunes, mentally intriguing, beautiful opportunities for extrapolation, bright and uplifting and wonderful, Major 7ths, Major 6ths, 7ths diminished, 13ths and augmented 9ths tossed in unexpectedly, and never, never way the hell too loud.
God Bless Sunday Jazz night at the long defunct Town Hall Live Music Hall on Franklin Street. That's what made me a Jazz fan.
Yesterday Rush talked about the Buffalo Bayou having been at 50 some ft above flood some decades ago and only at 30 ft right now. About that time I send a note to a pal who lives north of Houston to see how he's doing. He responds that they are fine, but if the Buffalo Bayou gets to 40 ft, they're toast. How's that for coincidence.
CH,
Expat friends originally from Ahia, now living in Tucson are visiting. They are the only other people we know with an A-dale. Always had one. Mrs MT calls her buffalo head. :)
Haven't tried to see how she behaves with Jr's choco-lab. She is signed up to have a spa visit over at Ivory's place. That should be interesting.
MM - thanks for the connection back from Trump's tweet to Ingraham remarks. I generally don't watch news, and I wondered what Trump was referring to with "all those positions." I thinking, "All WHAT positions?"
daddy - not entirely jazz, but I do enjoy most of the music from the swing era.
My collection is 50% jazz (40's to today), 50% 70's-80's rock, 50% head music (Genesis, ELP, Yes, PFM, Flash, Kraftwerk, etc.), and the other 50% is zydeco/bluegrass. May total more than 100% on account of rounding errors.
Re the Jazz thing, I was introduced to Brubeck back in HS. My musical training, what there was of it, was perfect for the stretch their stuff took in a fun, but slightly controlled way. If I had known about Miles in those days, I might have stuck with my horn longer.
These days I'm about 50/50 Jazz and Blues. Traditional and contemporary in both cases.
Not a Osteen fan but the church is flooded. Facts matter.
Thanks for posting that at 08:59, Narciso.
For those who did not click it is pics of Osteen's Houston Church already flooded. Over here that flooding is not mentioned at all and they have made Osteen come across as the biggest Christian hypocrite since Jimmy Swaggert. I've seen pics of the Church from outside saying it's dry and safe and could host thousands, Nice to see there is another side to the story. Regardless, Osteen, and by extension American religious folk have been effectively damned by the Media via this Osteen smear. I bought the Media characterization hook, line, and sinker until seeing Narciso's link. My bad.
Yeah, like Cboldt we have all the rock, bluegrass, folk from the 60s on, but generally only dip into it for the occasional memory trip. Funny how some of the oldies were discovered after getting into Blues and then appreciating SRV a lot more, for instance.
Re the zero hedge piece, I don't see how they keep humpty dumpty from cracking, they are chock full of princelings as fractious as the kingdom, many more than the four horseman around volodya.
She was wearing pink flats when they returned from camp david on sunday. I wasn't being snarky but it is an interesting contrast.
My dad always wore construction boots like that. When we were building the house we live in now and eldest was about 3 he had what he referred to as his "property boots" that were good for mud on the lot and anything you stepped on never penetrating to the foot and requiring a tetanus shot.
Apparently barron had on an almost $500 pair of shoes sunday. That kind of thing when unremarked for the obama girls, didn't it?
When someone pays $500 for a pair of shoes, many people in the economic chain, get paid.
It's pretty simple. How much do Hollyweird CELEBRETARDS and RAPPERS pay for their clothing?
Well, MT, they're obviously quality people. I'm sure it will play well with the Chocolate Lab although bitches can sometimes cop negative attitudes; Maggie, who was raised in a kennel and was the least playful Airedale I owned, only liked a few dogs and was ready to fight with a lot of other dogs. Teddy plays with everyone but will fire back if attacked including recently a Mastiff three times his size. He behaves almost exactly how I want him to.
I do not care if Barron wears $500 shoes. Are we paying for them? No. I am not even sure that figure is correct, since it's probably based on fashion sites, which are notoriously leftist.
Everyone in the fawned over the hideous fashions and inappropriate dress that Michelle and the daughters wore constantly. If no one cared abut those girls wearing crap t-shirts that were way overpriced and often had inappropriate sayings on them, they can shut their pieholes about Barron's shoes. His father is a billionaire and can buy a boxcar full if he wants.
Mysterious Traveler had great cover art. I saw them play in support of that release but was more impressed on that night with Chick Corea's Return to Forever. My biggest problem with Weather Report was how submerged Wayne Shorter eventually became; Lester Bowie wrote a song about that called "Where or Wayne".
My office shoes are fairly expensive. I seldom buy a new pair. They last and last. When they do wear, they can be recrafted to be good as new. And likely recrafted again after that.
they are cheaper in the long run, and considerably more comfortable, than others.
Most of the clothes I own I keep in good repair and use for years. And the work clothes get worked hard.
When I travel to Detroit, there is a great jazz radio station there, and I realize how little I have been exposed to. WR is "spotty" to me, but always a few pieces in a collection catch my ear. RTF and Flora Purim triggers great memories of a road trip to Houston and San Antonio with extended stops in Memphis and Nawlins.
Have we seen any efforts by the Washington Press to encourage people to donate an volunteer for the disaster, or are they just concerned about finding any flaw in the President's actions and the clothing his family wears?
I look forward to their whining this winter when DC gets 4 inches of snow.
So we are left to conclude that soopermexican approves all those posts because of discus, now anything that comes from slithy to be pierce I disregard.
sbw-the diva likes inexpensive shoes and discovered before she left that repairs can then cost as much as she paid when she loses a heel.
I showed her a pair of slingbacks I paid a pretty penny for more than 30 years ago. I had them reworked before red's graduation and they would look brand new if that italian shoe maker still existed. I think she finally got that what seemed expensive is not necessarily if it goes and goes and can then be resoled.
Thrifty in a unique way is one way to describe.
On a similar tangent we hear about the over budget costs of the secret service because of trump's "vacations" but never a word about the horrendous costs of the obama jet-setting.
OL, its funny. around here the slip & fall guys don't get very far. (but the shopping centers salt the crap out of everything ahead of a snow, a good way to eat cars).
My son has been promoted to Director of Snow Removal Operations at his company. He is drawing up maps, routes, and associated contractors right now.
When we had a bad winter about 10-12 years ago I think he spent over 24 hours plowing or driving between lots without rest. He's grateful to be in charge instead of out on one of the trucks.
Saw WR in Cowlumbus when Jaco was still around. Great fun. Jaco did a solo routine with two basses where he cranked out a riff on one and set it into a loop and then picked up the other one to play against it. Crowd went nutz.
Lester died quite a while ago. Don't know about Eddie Gomez because it's been a long time since I've heard him on anything. DeJohnette's still going strong.
It appears to be written on digital toiletpaper.
Not buying it.

Laura Ingraham was on Fox and Friends going on and on about how there were so many positions with no nominees. The President explains things to her. (Also another example of why she wouldn't have been a good fit in the White House.)

Cool, National Anthem is a neo-confederate symbol. Can we declare the left to be varmints? Varmints are open season 365 days a year.

All Ingraham does is bitch about WH strategy. Tedious. She is generally supportive but doesn't seem to understand Trump very well, IMO.

Very impressed with Jr., Buckeye. Excellent reflection on his upbringing.
His mother deserves the credit:)
He is young, single and comfortable living out of a backpack, I suspect he sees this as an adventure not to be missed.
His normal schedule at OSU is week on, week off, so gives him lots of free time.

Cool, a slow year for Chicago cemetary voting. 14,000 more votes than voters in Chicago.
Posted by: henry | August 29, 2017 at 09:22 AM
daddy - not entirely jazz, but I do enjoy most of the music from the swing era.
Posted by: cboldt | August 29, 2017 at 09:25 AM
Re the Jazz thing, I was introduced to Brubeck back in HS. My musical training, what there was of it, was perfect for the stretch their stuff took in a fun, but slightly controlled way. If I had known about Miles in those days, I might have stuck with my horn longer.
These days I'm about 50/50 Jazz and Blues. Traditional and contemporary in both cases.

rse,
I have never seen Melania in anything but high heels.
That tweet indicates the snark and criticism the press will bring to anything regarding President Trump and his family.
Melania could have some boots on board. I don't think that she is required to wade through debris. She will probably tour shelters.

Posted by: GUS | August 29, 2017 at 09:43 AM
Well, MT, they're obviously quality people. I'm sure it will play well with the Chocolate Lab although bitches can sometimes cop negative attitudes; Maggie, who was raised in a kennel and was the least playful Airedale I owned, only liked a few dogs and was ready to fight with a lot of other dogs. Teddy plays with everyone but will fire back if attacked including recently a Mastiff three times his size. He behaves almost exactly how I want him to.
Posted by: Captain Hate | August 29, 2017 at 09:48 AM

I have no use for ill-considered snarkish envy.

Have we seen any efforts by the Washington Press to encourage people to donate an volunteer for the disaster, or are they just concerned about finding any flaw in the President's actions and the clothing his family wears?

sbw-the diva likes inexpensive shoes and discovered before she left that repairs can then cost as much as she paid when she loses a heel.

Old Lurker,
My son has been promoted to Director of Snow Removal Operations at his company.
