The failing NY Times interviews Trump supporters to see if they are ready to pull the plug on the racist Hater-in-Chief. They have a Dead Tree front page headline suggesting these supporters are delusional:
Trump's Tumultuous Week? To Supporters, It Went Well
Oh please. Nothing in the story suggests that those who continue to support Trump think this was a good week for Trump. The Times' online headline is more plausible:
A Deal Breaker for Trump’s Supporters? Nope. Not This Time, Either.
To my complete surprise they go on to present seemingly normal, mainstream people with a calm, sensible perspective. They even lead with a black woman who is a health care finance executive.
Let's see, we also meet a retired businessman, a 46 year old male lawyer in Maryland, a 52 year old male engineer, a retired female executive in Minnesota, and a 76 year old guy from North Carolina. Somehow they resisted the urge to troll the South looking for guys with Confederate flag decals on their pickup trucks.
Some examples of the logic they present:
“Let’s be honest, the people who are currently outraged are the same people who have always been outraged,” said Ms. Hicks, 35, a lifelong Republican who lives in Boston. “The media makes it seem like something has changed, when in reality nothing has.”
We also hear from a Republican who didn't vote for Trump:
Gregory Kline, 46, a lawyer in Severna Park, Md., who is a Republican, said he did not vote for Mr. Trump but understands that part of the president’s support comes from fury at the left, particularly the media. When there is an attack by Muslim terrorists, for example, the media reaches for pundits who say most Muslims are good. But when it is a white supremacist, “every conservative is lumped in with him,” he said.
“It’s not that people are deaf and dumb and don’t see it,” he said of Mr. Trump’s sometimes erratic behavior. “It’s that they don’t care. I’ve heard rational people I really respect make the craziest apologies for this president because they are sick of getting beat on and they are happy he’s fighting back.”
Strangely sensible. Why is it in the Times?
Maybe they are afraid Trump won't turn the sun back on tomorrow afternoon.
(Your choice of antecedent for they determines your status. If you think they equals
A. The Trump supporters. You may be a troll
B. The NYT. You may be normal.)

Or maybe the Times fears the "War" Bannon was promising. Or that Sessions is about to indict all 40 Congressional clients of the Awans, plus the Awans spy controllers in Huma and Carlos Danger.

Between the AP piece and now this one from the Times, they are shots across the bow of the Dem's optimism for 2018. What the Dems see as a strong PR operation against conservatives as Nazis and white supremecists is actually a ricochet right to the heart of that charictature.
Russia was their "topic du jour" for over 6 months and all it did was produce The Nation's analysis and Washerwoman's stupidity.
Trump's hidden Nazi will turn out to be another moment of high ignorance produced by the Dems and their mouth organs; the press.
At this rate I expect to see Twitter cancelling his account so the Dems can make up some lost ground.

The press, DEMs and GOPe are piling on with lies, and Trump is the underdog who isn't guilty of what the bullies claim.
An inevitable side effect of making the false accusations vs. Trump, is an implied accusation that Trump supporters have "monumentally bad judgment" at best, and can reasonably be taken as an accusation that Trump supporters are themselves racist bigots.
They know they won't get Trump supporter votes anyway, so whatever downside they see, is that their followers haven't been energized enough.

>>>Since the 1930s it has not typically been a challenge for an American leader to denounce Nazism. But there is nothing typical about this president; urged by some of his advisers and family members to summon the majesty and moral authority of the presidency to heal the wounds of last weekend’s neo-Nazi violence in Charlottesville, to put the good of the country before personal pique, he chose instead to deliver a defense of white supremacists that raised as never before profound doubts about his moral compass, his grasp of the obligations of his office and his fitness to occupy it.<<<
A leftist killed his Trump supporting neighbor in Pennsylvania and 2 police officers were gunned down by a BLM activist in Florida. 14 were murdered by Islamic terrorists in Spain.

For those looking for image hosting to post photos:
I think Postimages.org is by far the best. You can upload by file or by URL. You can select a new size at time of upload (I use 320x240). You then have a choice of URL types to copy (by clicking the clipboard icon to the right of the link).

I copy the "Direct link" URL and then use the img src command to post.

>>>The deeper question, to Mr. Trump’s remaining supporters, is not political but moral. It is whether they will continue to follow a standard-bearer who is alienating most of the country by embracing extremists. Yes, other Republican leaders, while claiming the mantle of Abraham Lincoln, have subtly and not so subtly courted bigots since the days of Richard Nixon’s “Southern strategy.” But Mr. Trump has now made that subtext his text. Last week, he stripped away the pretense and the camouflage. In deciding to split Americans apart rather than draw them together, he abandoned the legacy of Lincoln for the legacy of Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis. He chose to summon not America’s better angels, but its demons.<<<

Some compelling golf. Watch out for 18 y.o. Angel Yin, born in Beijing and now a US citizen. Had over 6 drives of 300+ yards. No one does that consistently in the ladies game. Lincicome once in a while, Lexi Thompson a few times. Means she is hitting wedges into most par 4's.

MM,
If you are there, send me an email addy. I have an interesting piece of marquetry secretary chest Mrs. JiB bought last week at an estate sale in East Hampton and it appears to be more than your typical garage sale item.
You can go to my link and send to the Email Me.

Daddy:
It looks like they are singing.

I still do not believe that either "Neo Nazis" or the KKK hove "Tiki Parades".
This sound like something some Millennial Brooklynite might think up.
I find it a risible notion.
Again, the "Neo Nazi"/KKK accusations to me are a complete fabrication.
I have seen no evidence to support any other conclusion.

JIB:
I am looking for a desk like what you have described.
Could you provide a picture?
An estate sale in the Hamptons probably had some wonderful treasures.

Sure, maryrose, but first My Three Beagles, just to rival those beasts from daddy.
The little girl on the right is Lady and she is a fierce deer chaser.
