Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook announced they would turn over all the Russian-sponsored ads from the 2016 campaign. I like this:
The announcement that Facebook would share the ads with the Senate and House intelligence committees came after the social network spent two weeks on the defensive. The company faced calls for greater transparency about 470 Russia-linked accounts — in which fictional people posed as American activists — which were taken down after they had promoted inflammatory messages on divisive issues. Facebook had previously angered congressional staff by showing only a sample of the ads, some of which attacked Hillary Clinton or praised Donald J. Trump.
Let's see all the ads and find out whether Russia was winding up both sides. Back in the day it was believed Russia backed anti-fracking groups in Europe. Why not also in the US?
Well, although can't find that exact quote from Palin I did find a common theam that Trump, Bannon, Gorka, and Palin are "fracturing" Trump's base.
Sounds like a scam is afoot.
Only the MFM can fracture that base if we accept their version of events.
I don't.

JiB,
Yes in the grand scheme of things this is extremely unimportant. But it has bugged me for a long time how the NFL has taken advantage of the patriotism of many fans whom they don't respect at all. Kind of like the fake promises the GOP has made to the right to lifers.
Maybe I'm getting cranky in my older years (I'm sure the student coolie labor from Crewe who called me for a donation is being counseled in a safe space) but I don't have to put up with being lied to any more. I didn't even pay attention to the NFL last weekend for the first time since 1957. Life went on just fine. Whether or not Goodell is too fucking stupid to understand this, that is not good news for him. It's probably something he should pay more attention to than getting into an ill advised Twitter spat with DJT.

fdcol63,
They killed the Indianapolis Star, the paper where my grandad worked as a pressman for over 50 years. The Pulliam family sold the paper to Ganett, and it has been all downhill. Before Gannett, the paper was right-leaning and upheld traditional values.
That paper got Bob Knight fired, by making him seem like a monster and siding with bow-tie wearing Miles Brand.
Then they went after a local chain bakery over some health violations at their main plant, making it sound like they were overrun with rats. Not only did the bakery go out of business, but the older "Roselyn Ladies" who worked at every store were unemployed. Most over 50.
They stirred up trouble with the local Boy Scouts. They went after the 500 Mile Race.
Every holiday they print counter-holiday stories: Single moms on Father's Day, 2 gay guys raising kids on Mother's Day, what it's like to be a Muslim at Christmas, etc. etc.
I canceled my subscription when they lied about the Supreme Court decision in Bush vs. Gore, right on the front page of the paper, and then LIED TO ME on the phone telling me that the story was written before the complete decision was known. I am not a fool, and I knew when it was announced on television, and I knew when their deadline was.
Constant negativity and attacks on the culture, day after day. The paper has lost subscribers and is a shadow of its former self.
This is just one small part of the left, one paper, in a medium sized Midwestern city.
If President Trump can inject some spine back into American culture, we will be forever indebted to him. I have hope.

I am leaving for the airport shortly. My daughter has been in Salt Lake City all week visiting her best friend from high school.
She was going to take a cab home until she found out the cost. (Airport is 20 miles from us.)
So, since my car is still in the shop I am driving HER car, which is not an SUV but a small sedan. At night. She, fortunately, will drive home.
I will check in when I return.

I don't remember who mentioned it earlier but I would think the dying corpse of Ole Mizzou would be a handy object lesson of the consequences of going full SJW retard. Apparently a few more hits in the head will be needed to get the message across. Love to see Goodell and Silver take their respective leagues down the Mizzou path.

Yes, mad jack; Mizzou is regarded, even among libs over a certain IQ level, as a complete embarrassment that has dug itself so deep of a hole that easy to moderately difficult extrication is not in the cards.

MM, I hope Trump can do everything you and RG and everyone else not on the ledge believe he can do.
But that requires a majority of Americans to support his actions.
And I worry that the culture has already changed too much. All of these issues wouldn't even be issues if the Left had not already been pretty successful in moving the culture so far to their side.
I have hope, though, that I am wrong.

All in or all out are the choices again.
Moore will be more supportive of Trump's agenda and less of an obstacle.
If he confounds the dysfunctional Senate would anyone notice?
FWIW, I don't want a mindless politician that lines up behind the POTUS no matter what. Too dangerous.

I am remembering the USA hockey team win at Lake Pla cid, and how suddenly everyone remembered how much they wanted our country to win. I remember how everything was depressing and anti-patriotic. Seems like things changed overnight. Then we elected Reagan.
Posted by: Miss Marple | September 23, 2017 at 11:59 PM
And I remember how united we seemed on 9/12/2001, full of righteous anger at radical Muslims who had attacked us, everyone again proud to be Americans in our joint suffering.
That didnt last long. 7 years later, Americans elected a Muslim POTUS, we couldn't even utter the phrase "radical Islam", and he surrounded himself and packed the govt with others who hate the US as much as he does.
Now we have BLM, Antifa, these NFL kneelers, and no one knows what frigging bathroom to use and we dare not use binary gender pronouns in schools.
Yeah, we got Trump. He's great. He's gonna do great things.
But the culture has shifted.
Posted by: fdcol63 | September 24, 2017 at 12:16 AM
Culture changes. Culture is what you do every single day aggregated over all our fellow citizens. I believe Trump showed the way: the first step is you NEVER apologize or allow yourself to be beaten down. At least not till they apologize and look sheepish. Don't ask me to denounce Moore. Not till you denounce Hillary and Kerry and Koskinen and Pelosi and Holder and so on.
No more defense. No more unilateral surrenders.

Great pieces Clarice.
One correction though. It was not Bharara who was added to the Mueller team but Andrew Goldstein, a former staffer and Bharara toady at SDNY.
>>>Special counselor Robert Mueller added a top New York prosecutor to his team investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election who also happened to be an official who worked for fired U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Goldstein of the Southern District of New York has been selected to join the probe, according to multiple reports late Friday.
