The Battlin' to Make Him Stop Rattlin' between Trump and Rocket Man is lifting off nicely:
Kim on Thursday reacted angrily to Trump's remarks and actions this week, calling the president a “mentally deranged U.S. dotard” and Trump's earlier speech at the U.N. “unprecedented rude nonsense.” Kim said he was now thinking hard about how to respond.
“I will make the man holding the prerogative of the supreme command in the U.S. pay dearly for his speech,” Kim said in a statement released by the official Korean Central News Agency, which also published a photo of the North Korean leader sitting at his desk holding a piece of paper.
“I am now thinking hard about what response he could have expected when he allowed such eccentric words to trip off his tongue. Whatever Trump might have expected, he will face results beyond his expectation,” Kim said, adding that he would “tame” Trump “with fire.”
In his latest tweeted barb Friday, Trump called Kim a “madman” who brings famine and death on North Koreans.
“Kim Jong Un of North Korea, who is obviously a madman who doesn't mind starving or killing his people, will be tested like never before!” Trump wrote.
Clearly this is a prelude to an epic battle rap showdown. Gotta bet Trump on that.
First! Really? Too bad I got nuttin to say this afternoon.

Well you do have to hand it to little Pudgy Wudgy sometimes, aka as 'Whoa Fat" over on Ace.
An English paper ran a story on the various insults that Pudgy Wudgy has handed out. He compared Obama to a monkey--said he was barely a member of the human race.
He said Hillary looked like an old age pensioner on a shopping trip. Guess he's not fond of bright colored pantsuits. OTOH Whoa Fat wears a lot of pant suits himself--and it looks like his mother (or barber) uses a bowl to cut his hair.
For my own take, Little Kim looks like the kind of kid who would have been beaten up for his lunch money every doggone day of his school life--if his Daddy wasn't the dictator of North Korea.
So let the good times roll--while they can--for this not so loveable Porky Norky.

Tom Bowler,
I believe the democrats cannot face how much Obama was disliked, because to their minds he was such a "clean and articulate" black man, as Biden said.
They didn't seem to notice that at every opportunity he tore down the country and lectured the electorate like we were a bunch of misbehaving schoolchildren.
Then they followed him up by attempting to foist Hillary on us, who had the same characteristics except she was an old white woman.
Until they recognize this, they will go nowhere.

All 50 state Medicaid directors are opposing C-G, so I don't think Collins is going to vote for it if she wants to be governor. McCain is no surprise because he is a duplicious, vengeful, spiteful coward who's time in the Hanoi Hilton is more urban myth than legend. One of great devolutions of our Constitution is the purposeful intrusion of the Federal Government in every level of public, and even private, education. Although, I am suspect of an Article 5 convention, If it was only concerned with the 10th amendment, then I am for it. Acknowledge its abuse by the Federal Government, endorse it with unequivocal language and restore to the states and local governments their authority not contained in the Constitution.
In fact, I would love to see Betsy DeVos as the last Secretary of Education.

WashTimes: Sen. Ron Johnson, however, said the money would be reallocated to more evenly distribute the Obamacare funds since they disproportionately go to three states.
“It’s primarily taking all the Obamacare funding and turning those into block grants and sending those out to the states in a more equitable fashion. Right now, there are three states — California, New York and Massachusetts — they represent a little bit more than 20 percent of population yet they get about 36 percent of Obamacare funding. It’s simply unfair,” Mr. Johnson, Wisconsin Republican, said on CNN.

On the Title IX vision obama created, I have been in meetings where university GC's spoke and they HAD to prove they were propagandizing this to every student. Many would not allow registration for spring classes, for example, unless students could show they had attended mandatory programs.
Unfortunately though a pAC has been created to sue on every ED reversal the bo appointees do not agree with. It was described as follows here:
"OBAMA ALUMS PLAN TO SUE DEVOS: Former Obama administration officials are the force behind a new legal defense fund that's dedicated to taking Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to court. The National Student Legal Defense Network, which launched on Thursday, will bring some legal firepower to defending Barack Obama's education legacy, which President Donald Trump and DeVos have largely sought to dismantle during the past eight months. The new organization plans to file lawsuits aimed at stopping the Trump administration's rollback of Obama-era higher education policies.
- "If DeVos continues to attempt to roll back student loan protections - such as gainful employment, borrower defense to repayment, Title IX protections - in ways that we think are illegal, we'll force her to defend those actions in court," co-founder Aaron Ament told POLITICO. Ament was a former chief of staff and special counsel at the Education Department during the Obama administration.
- The initial funding for the organization will come from the New Leaders Council, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, where it will be housed. But the group is also hoping to attract small-dollar donations through a "Fight Back Against Betsy DeVos" crowdfunding campaign. The legal defense fund will work with state attorneys general, legal aid groups and law firms that may take on cases pro bono. It's also planning to hire two or three full-time litigators in the coming months, Ament said.
- The legal defense fund will be run by an advisory board that includes James Cole Jr., former Education Department general counsel; Catherine Lhamon, Obama's Education civil rights chief who now chairs the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights; Jacek Pruski, former associate general counsel at the Education Department; Libby Masiuk, former senior adviser at the Education Department; Adam Skaggs, litigation director at the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence; Tushar Sheth, former Vice President Joe Biden's deputy policy director; Seth Galanter, former deputy assistant secretary of Education for civil rights; Clay Barkley , former assistant attorney general of Kentucky; Clare McCann, an Obama Education Department official who is now deputy director for federal policy at New America; and Sujeet Rao, former deputy chief of staff at the Education Department."

Davod, once again it is a question of timing. You are probably right as of now, having gone this long. But had it been done as part of forming the new Congress so that the newly elected president's, mandate and agenda could get off to a flying start, any control of McCain would have been lost in the noise and excitment of that time.
But that was not the GOPe plan so it was allowed to gather steam and fester which pleased the GOPe, and Trump elected not to confront the Congress about it or, well, anything back in those first months.
Reap the whirlwind.

Every state is probably different, but the process of nominating & winning a primary election against an incumbent or party candidate has to start really early.
The process was super convoluted here in Virginia to get Cuccinelli nominated.
Ya gotta get delegates & get them plugged into the system. We had a group that walked us through every line on the forms & made sure they made it on time. They offered to come to the house. Then everyone has to show up for the local party election.
The whole process is set up so the old guard runs the show.
Anyway....that's how it was in Virginia.
Over a year of set-up.
Boy, they hated the new tea party people.
It was awful when the old Republicans sold us out in the general election. It was awful.

I had to laugh at your comment, because you grasped the issue precisely! I was born in Sofia, and had the good fortune of acquiring a genealogical chart going back seven generations from an uncle who kept it fanatically. So I did a DNA test recently, just to test their accuracy,, and it came back right on the button: 39-50% Eastern Europe, 34-50% Italy/Greece. BUT right at the end appeared an additional 4%-17% Caucasus! Your suspicions were correct: Greeks, Romans, Huns, Turks all marched their way through Bulgaria.
