Back from Frederick's "Investiture" for 9th grade at Mercy. Very nice little formality but with cupcakes and coffee:)
I am an Atlantic Council Eagle Scout. Not too many of us since I think giving up the bases not many American kids living in Iceland or Greenland or Newfoundland now. Back in the day in DC, I was invited to an BSA appreciation dinner for Dick Gephart who was an Eagle Scout and big supporter of BSA. It was around 1992 and back that far back he thought BSA would liberalize (why wouldn't he:) and allow gays and girls.
I had Frederick in Scouts up to Webelo but then the emphasis on badges shifted to social justice and away from independent living/survival/wilderness, etc.
I pulled him out remembering Gephart. Only advice I have ever taken from a liberal democrat.

Over 3 trillion dollars overseas. He wants to bring as much as they can back.
I have a question on this. My understanding is that most companies with large amounts of cash overseas loan it back to the US-based portion of operations. The interest payments deductible here; they are taxed overseas at very low rates.
Once the notes come due, they are rolled over into new ones.
In this low interest-rate environment, how much difference would it make to repatriate the underlying capital?

When you think about it there is a huge differnce between a business negotiation and a diplomatic negotiation.
What Trump is doing is offer the other party only one way in or out. What the State guys do is offer the other guy a numberThe of ways to change, keep or accept conditions.
The NORKs are baffled because they don't understand that kind of negotiation. Even China doesnt.

OK, but minimizing political risk is very different than the financial effect it would have. Sure, the Corps might bring money back. But it would not seem that the financial impact would be particularly large.

My personal opinion on the interview:
Hannity will never ask hard questions, so this was an easy appearance for President Trump.
No questions on a lot of stuff, lots of rehash.
The dodging on Assange was pretty obvious. Don't know if that was because he didn't want to anger Assange supporters, or whether there is something going on which he didn't want to signal to enemies.
That is my honest reporting.

The media spiked stories?
During the Birther Years the afterbirthers swore that there was no way enough people would be able to keep their mouths shut to bury the true story of Odummy and his lack of eligibility.
HW Pervinstuff seemed to find a way to keep things quiet. Intimidation.
It would be very unlike Obama and the Dems to use intimidation, so maybe the afterbirthers were right.

From Insty---this guy ate Like The Rock for half a year:
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-rock-dwayne-johnson-diet/?ex_cid=story-twitter
It's low inflammation (no processed carbs).
(6000 calories to offset his two and a half hours of exercise too, but if you're not doing that, obviously no need to eat as much as The Rock)
This paragraph explains why virtually every person I know who's done it for four weeks or longer basically sticks with it, in general:
“My arms have gotten a little bigger, the upper parts of my legs have gotten bigger, and I’ve gotten leaner, which is again totally unexpected,” he said. “I feel amazing. I’m 37, I get little aches and pains all the time; I have none of those anymore. I feel better than I did before I was doing this. My resting heart rate has dropped by like four beats per minute over the past month. I feel fantastic.”
