The Baby Bombers are bringing it on against the hapless, overmatched Astros. OK, they're up 2-0 in the 3rd and still batting, but the freight train is rumbling through the Bronx and headed for Houston. Where Verlander will choke them out in Game 6, setting up a dramatic, climactic Game 7 in which CC Sabathia can lead the youngsters to the promised land.
I love this game!

How is it even possible that Sessions is so walled-off from Trump that Trump can't actually act as his manager and influence his decisions?
I know it looks that way but if that's even remotely true, you have to give Trump a lot less credit than we've been giving him.

Meanwhile, over at Tucker's house, Mark Steyn says we are all fully entitled now to engage in Conspiracy Theories because for whatever reason the mysterious missing MGM Security Guard, Jesus Campos, scoured all of the Media outlets on the planet that he could give his important eye witness account to, and of all of them he decided the most high profile and important venue he should give his one and only interview to was Ellen Degeneres.

Posted by: daddy | October 18, 2017 at 09:05 PM
daddy,
I heard that. He was exactly right about how people cannot help but feel there is something weird going on, as they kept changing the timeline and then Campos disappeared for 3 days and then turned up on Ellen's show, which is run by MGM, owner of the Mandalay casino.
He also brought up the attempt to delay releasing the papers on the JFK association, delaying the release for another 25 years.
Human beings are wired to see patterns. When people aren't given adequate explanations and see patterns, the mind goes to some sinister plot. I said this to my sisters one day when we were driving through Illinois and saw huge parts of machines on trucks in a convoy. I told them that as a public service, the company should label the parts as to what they were, so that people didn't think they were UFO parts or something.

Anybody read Orwell's Homage to Catalonia? I joined the Horde reading group last weekend (I wish I'd done it earlier when they tackled Meditations by Marcus Aurelius but that didn't happen) and the group read is something by Orwell with the main concentration on 1984 or Animal Farm. Although I'm a big proponent of rereading books, I've wanted to read HtC for a long time so that's what I'm doing.

My transcript:
Hannity: I'll start with you Victoria. This is your client. He wanted to tell Congress about all the Bribery, all the scheming, all the kickbacks, all of the corruption. He had the information, he wanted to tell the story. What happened?
Toensing: Well when he started working for the FBI IN 2009 they had him sign what's called an NDA, a Non-Disclosure Agreement. They never gave him a copy of it and when he went public in 2016, way after all this case stuff was done, the Justice Department under Loretta Lynch, called him and threatened him with his freedom if he violated the NDA. Now I've never heard of an NDA that had a criminal penalty for violation but they won't show him a copy of it, so we decided to go to the members of Congress in the Senate, and I have breaking news for you. While I was in make-up, I got a message from Chairman Grassley asking my client to give them information. Now what this does is set up a Constitutional Issue because the Executive Branch can not say to someone "Don't you give information to the legislature." So It will be a very interesting thing to see how the Justice Department responds.
Hannity: So they have the power to lift that NDA--That would be amazing.

Posted by: Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki | October 18, 2017 at 10:15 PM
Catsmeat,
I don't talk about this much, but I honestly believe that the election of President Trump was a miracle.
I therefore have paid attention to things that have been happening: the unmasking of so many in elected office; the mysterious sudden reveal of the horrible stuff in Hollywood (yes, it has always been bad, but the general public never knew); the sudden defeat of ISIS; the collapse of the NFL; on and on.
I also paid attention to the support of the evangelicals, particularly Jerry Falwell Jr., Franklin Graham, and Robert Jeffress. Who would have thought that a billionaire with a playboy reputation would become their champion, or that Mike Pence, a committed Christian, would accept being his running mate?
President Trump is of the generation who doesn't speak about faith much. I couldn't help noticing in his Inaugural speech that he said "We will be protected by God." That was spoken with confidence and struck me as perhaps someone who has had an encounter with Christ.
So, I remain confident and hopeful. Others can go to the Ledge. I just can't do so, myself. I am not criticizing anyone. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't think so. The country is changing in good ways, although getting rid of the bad stuff isn't pretty.

I recall Krauthammer on the panel pontificating to us that there were so many safeguards in the FISA apparatus that there was no way anyone could ever do any unmasking that wasn't totally above board and 100% honest, and if anyone thought otherwise you were a looney tunes Conspiracy Theorist. Power is a pathetic LOSER. A hack. She and Rice have been USED by Obama. Rice willingly because she is money grubbing power hungry pig, POWER, because she is a moron who loves the idea of OBAMA, a sycophantic whore.
Simple. Let's say POWER didn't do the multihundred time unmasking.......WHICH OTHER OBAMA CRIMINAL DID?? Is POWER the CRIMINAL or someone else.
Also.... If this unmasking was as RICE SAID.......IF IF IF IF IF IF OKIE DOKE, why would someone pretend to be POWER?
LOGIC IS YOUR FRIEND.

Local Channel 2 NBC Alaska News on TV is covering the Sessions Hearings, but only in regards to 2 items; his many denials of being complicit in colluding with the Russians during the 2016 Election, and then for comments about DOJ's latest Policy on Dreamers. Nothing else of note happened in the DC Hearings today. Then a short clip of Lamar Alexander and "The Mom In Tennis Shoe's" Legislative deal to make it legal for funds to go to bail out the ObamaCare Insurance companies. Patty Murray's comments damning Trump were included.
I suspect that is the very same verbiage you heard from your local NBC Nightly News guys.
