During college, I had a part-time job working in produce and butcher shop. The guy who would stock the binds and sections with fruits and veggies had Down Syndrome. We all called him "Boss" and he took that to heart.

"Boss, we need more russets", "Boss, bring me out more nectarines". He would also help the customers with their bags to their cars or even across the square to their homes or apartments. I think they said he was in his early forties and every evening before closing his mother would come by to take him home.

Always courteous and never suffered fools. He forgot more about the produce business and its staples then most people would ever learn.

Damn hard worker and did it with dignity, a smile and honest labor.
