--Is he working this job as hard as he worked for his own business? --
The man just pulled off a $250 billion dollar trade deal with China and an $8 billion dollar trade deal with Japan. That's the very definition of business. At one time the business of the United States was business. (I'm old enough that I remember when politicians used to say that and say it proudly). Now the business of the United States is big government, which is why we're trillions in debt and suffering from a huge trade deficit.
These trade deals are at the core of MAGA. You want a fundamentally changed America--this is what it looks like. Energy independence, the return of manufacturing (high paying jobs), creating wealth.
One of the fundamental flaws of liberalism is that its proponents have never grasped the basic concept that in order to redistribute wealth you first have to create it.

A big difference I think is that Obama surrounded himself with 3rd rate minds whom fluffed Obama's below average intellect. Trump surrounds himself with winners, delegates authority to them, but makes the big decisions.

Just catching up with the stuff people were talking about this morning. I have to say, I really really don't understand why people find this difficult to understand. Donald Trump is a buffoon, a card-carrying oaf without an ounce of either sense or class. His entire career in real estate in New York has been unanticipated windfall after another, as he bumbled from success to success due to no particular cleverness or skill on his part, but from an almost unbelievable run of good fortune.
One must grant him a certain low cunning and understanding of the lowest common denominator among the population, which accounts for his success as a reality TV star—much like a carnival barker pandering to the rubes in the hinterlands, Trump pandered to the baser instincts and crude impulses of his viewers and so managed to win for himself a large following among the least intelligent and most easily manipulated sector of our citizens.
It was emotion-laden appeal to the prejudices, xenophobia, and ignorance of these same people that allowed him to gain a political following, a following which, ironically enough, allowed him to be elected president only because of the magnifying effect of a media that provided him with trillions of dollars in free exposure through unthinking and uncritical news reporting, and by providing him with a platform from which to use his well-honed carnival barker skills to whip his ignorant followers into an emotional frenzy whose strength managed to carry him over the finish line into the Presidency.
Since becoming president, he has not demonstrated the slightest hint of ability, but instead, like a drunken sailor, reels from crisis to crisis, yet somehow, his amazing run of good fortune continues, and he manages to turn each setback to his own advantage.
At least that is what my inner liberal tells me. Please feel free to apply sarcasm indicators liberally to the previous message.
An F.B.I. counterterrorism supervisor is under internal investigation after a woman stole his gun following a night of heavy drinking in a North Carolina hotel, according to documents and government officials.
In July, Robert Manson, a unit chief in the F.B.I.’s international terrorism section, had his Glock .40-caliber handgun, a $6,000 Rolex watch and $60 in cash stolen from his room at the Westin hotel in Charlotte, N.C., according to a police report. . . .
Mr. Manson and other senior agents were in Charlotte for training, according to a law enforcement official familiar with the episode. The agents later told the police that they had been drinking with women who said they were exotic dancers, according to a second person who was briefed on the investigation but, like the first, was not authorized to discuss it publicly.
“Investigators determined that the victim, Robert Manson, met a woman in the hotel bar the prior night and took her back to his hotel room,” Robert Tufano, a spokesman for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, said in a statement.
At 6:30 the next morning, police officers for the department were called to the hotel. Mr. Manson was incapacitated because of alcohol, according to the police report, which he did not file himself. A fellow agent, Kevin Thuman, gave the report, which says the theft happened from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. The hotel bar closes at 2 a.m.
So not only is the FBI corrupt and untrustworthy these days, it's also staffed by morons who have all the self-control and good judgment of one of the characters from "Animal House."
I think you are being unfair to frat boys. They would have been smart enough to secure their wallets and guns before boffing some random lady of the night they picked up in the hotel bar.
Just for the record: Destiny and Tatiana do not steal your money like the FBI man's companion did. Rather, they separate you from your cash and Rolexes and BMWs the time honored, old fashioned ethical exotic dancer way: They make believe they like you in the champagne room!
The Horde suspects a turtle trail exists around the Roy Moore accusations. Personally the Bushes are the first persons of interest in any of these. You want war, bitches? Game on.
There have been powerful groups in the state digging through Roy's closets for years and haven't found much at all. This new accusation - and its timing - is puzzling.
"Neither Corfman nor any of the other women sought out The Post. While reporting a story in Alabama about supporters of Moore’s Senate campaign, a Post reporter heard that Moore allegedly had sought relationships with teenage girls."
Who gave the WAPO this tip about Moore that no one else in Alabama has heard about in all the years he has been in the public eye?

Fine.
Let's go further. Every federal government employee - from Senators on down to janitors - should be forced out of their job immediately if there are any credible accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior - no matter how long ago they happened, whether or not they were reported to the authorities - against them.

Now Russia has been included in the Dem objections.

Yeah OL, but they've gotten much better at detecting my package and the prolly have a dossier on it.
I was really tempted to make a joke at your expense GUS, but the thought of six broken ribs and a punctured lung made me think better of it:)
Besides, been 50 years since I was 14.

Please feel free to apply sarcasm indicators liberally to the previous message.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/09/us/politics/fbi-stolen-gun-stolen-charlotte.html?_r=0
An F.B.I. counterterrorism supervisor is under internal investigation after a woman stole his gun following a night of heavy drinking in a North Carolina hotel, according to documents and government officials.

James D,
I think you are being unfair to frat boys. They would have been smart enough to secure their wallets and guns before boffing some random lady of the night they picked up in the hotel bar.

If none of Roy Moore's accusers ever came forward with their accusations, how exactly did the WAPO know who they were and how to track them down?
Posted by: Tom R | November 09, 2017 at 03:09 PM
There have been powerful groups in the state digging through Roy's closets for years and haven't found much at all. This new accusation - and its timing - is puzzling.

Just riding the Hollywood witch hunt wave. All accusations are real. No need to investigate. Mission accomplished feminazis.
Posted by: henry | November 09, 2017 at 03:11 PM
From that WAPO article:
"Neither Corfman nor any of the other women sought out The Post. While reporting a story in Alabama about supporters of Moore’s Senate campaign, a Post reporter heard that Moore allegedly had sought relationships with teenage girls."
Who gave the WAPO this tip about Moore that no one else in Alabama has heard about in all the years he has been in the public eye?

McConnell says Moore should quit Ala. Senate race if sexual encounter report true
Fine.
Let's go further. Every federal government employee - from Senators on down to janitors - should be forced out of their job immediately if there are any credible accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior - no matter how long ago they happened, whether or not they were reported to the authorities - against them.
If it's wrong, it's wrong. If it disqualifies Moore from running for a Senate seat, it should disqualify sitting Senators, and anybody else on the public payroll.

IMO, the best is always American.
