If you google map Paul's gated community neighborhood, you will not find any poorly maintained landscaping. They are nice estates with pools, hard and soft landscaping and well maintained lawns.

But that would be asking too much of a journalist hell bent on developing and maintaining the Prog narrative.

Jeebus,

The sausage factory workers just played the race card in support of an amendment to preserve the Historic Tax Credit in colloquy between Crowley and Sewell if it would also include former slave quarters. Now if the sausage workers on the right side of the conveyer vote against that amendment they are racists.

I put this on the dead thread and now I'm reposting it, because that's how some of us at JOM roll:

--Is he working this job as hard as he worked for his own business? --

The man just pulled off a $250 billion dollar trade deal with China and an $8 billion dollar trade deal with Japan. That's the very definition of business. At one time the business of the United States was business. (I'm old enough that I remember when politicians used to say that and say it proudly). Now the business of the United States is big government, which is why we're trillions in debt and suffering from a huge trade deficit.

These trade deals are at the core of MAGA. You want a fundamentally changed America--this is what it looks like. Energy independence, the return of manufacturing (high paying jobs), creating wealth.

One of the fundamental flaws of liberalism is that its proponents have never grasped the basic concept that in order to redistribute wealth you first have to create it.

FROM WSJ:"President Donald Trump moved to assuage centrist Democratic senators' concerns about the House Republican tax overhaul by telling them the Senate version will be more to their liking, in comments that risk muddying the GOP's effort to get a bill passed.

"You're going to like it a whole lot more," said Mr. Trump of the Senate version, according to two people who attended a Tuesday gathering of Democratic senators that Mr. Trump called into"

And Gary Cohen told Dems "Don't get too hung up on the House bill".

So Paul's alleged cross-pollenizing with his neighbor's bride is true?

If so, I wonder if Paul will suck it up and let it go.

His standing as a Senator.... i don't know how I'd feel about Paul being able to unleash hell on his naybuh above and beyond what he could do to the guy if Paul was just a greasy guy shaggin' the dude's wife.

Paul aint got a leg to stand on according to my most recent version of The Laws of My Jungle.

I've had to dive off balconies to escape reprisals of angry hubbies. That was all part of my drunken former life. Was shot at. Got smacked in the shoulder with a L'ville Slugger. I never pressed charges though.

Had it comin'. I never had to do that to anybody because my first wife was slick about her transgressions. (I did have loads of concrete delivered to her suitors' cars when I was suspicious-- twice. Plausible deniability on both parts.) But never resorted to bodily harm. Too delicate of a line.

Oil prices touched fresh session highs on Thursday following a report from Al Arabiya that Saudi Arabia has urged its nationals to leave Lebanon immediately. So it would be like a Tea Partier assaulting a powerful Dem senator just before the Obamacare bill came up.

Tea partiers were (falsely) accused of spitting at Democrat lawmakers after the passage of Obamacare, and even though it never happened, the Dems still talk about it seven years later - and the GOP still apologizes for it.

Republican lawmakers are savagely beaten and shot at by self-professed Democrat activists, and the Dems don't need to apologize, and the GOP just shuts up about it because complaining about the other side resorting to deadly violence is "not who we are"

Captain Hate

4th degree assault in KY is a Class A misdemeanor. Not sure if the prosecution could up the charges to aggravated assault given the circumstances (most likely not).

Surprised that the FBI or USCP hasn't gotten involved at this point.

and in my catch up, I agree with Captain Hate on the other thread regarding Appalled's comments about Obama and Trump's apparent laziness. I'll add that the worse type of person to have around is the hard working incompetent-especially an incompetent who has no idea how incompetent he is.

A big difference I think is that Obama surrounded himself with 3rd rate minds whom fluffed Obama's below average intellect. He is a better speechwriter than his speechwriters, a better diplomat than his foreign service and all that. Trump surrounds himself with winners, delegates authority to them, but makes the big decisions.

Just catching up with the stuff people were talking about this morning. I have to say, I really really don't understand why people find this difficult to understand. Donald Trump is a buffoon, a card-carrying oaf without an ounce of either sense or class. His entire career in real estate in New York has been unanticipated windfall after another, as he bumbled from success to success due to no particular cleverness or skill on his part, but from an almost unbelievable run of good fortune.

One must grant him a certain low cunning and understanding of the lowest common denominator among the population, which accounts for his success as a reality TV star—much like a carnival barker pandering to the rubes in the hinterlands, Trump pandered to the baser instincts and crude impulses of his viewers and so managed to win for himself a large following among the least intelligent and most easily manipulated sector of our citizens.

It was emotion-laden appeal to the prejudices, xenophobia, and ignorance of these same people that allowed him to gain a political following, a following which, ironically enough, allowed him to be elected president only because of the magnifying effect of a media that provided him with trillions of dollars in free exposure through unthinking and uncritical news reporting, and by providing him with a platform from which to use his well-honed carnival barker skills to whip his ignorant followers into an emotional frenzy whose strength managed to carry him over the finish line into the Presidency.

Since becoming president, he has not demonstrated the slightest hint of ability, but instead, like a drunken sailor, reels from crisis to crisis, yet somehow, his amazing run of good fortune continues, and he manages to turn each setback to his own advantage.

At least that is what my inner liberal tells me. Please feel free to apply sarcasm indicators liberally to the previous message.

An F.B.I. counterterrorism supervisor is under internal investigation after a woman stole his gun following a night of heavy drinking in a North Carolina hotel, according to documents and government officials.

In July, Robert Manson, a unit chief in the F.B.I.’s international terrorism section, had his Glock .40-caliber handgun, a $6,000 Rolex watch and $60 in cash stolen from his room at the Westin hotel in Charlotte, N.C., according to a police report. . . .

Mr. Manson and other senior agents were in Charlotte for training, according to a law enforcement official familiar with the episode. The agents later told the police that they had been drinking with women who said they were exotic dancers, according to a second person who was briefed on the investigation but, like the first, was not authorized to discuss it publicly.

“Investigators determined that the victim, Robert Manson, met a woman in the hotel bar the prior night and took her back to his hotel room,” Robert Tufano, a spokesman for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, said in a statement.

At 6:30 the next morning, police officers for the department were called to the hotel. Mr. Manson was incapacitated because of alcohol, according to the police report, which he did not file himself. A fellow agent, Kevin Thuman, gave the report, which says the theft happened from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. The hotel bar closes at 2 a.m.

So not only is the FBI corrupt and untrustworthy these days, it's also staffed by morons who have all the self-control and good judgment of one of the characters from "Animal House."

Fine.

Let's go further. Every federal government employee - from Senators on down to janitors - should be forced out of their job immediately if there are any credible accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior - no matter how long ago they happened, whether or not they were reported to the authorities - against them.
