Since folks here have been talking about the anniversary of the election, I am going to go ahead and shill something here. There is an anthology of stories (mostly speculative fiction) called "MAGA: 2020 and Beyond" that is being put out by Superversive Press. Despite my wife and I writing three serious historical novels in the last four years, we have yet to be published, so this anthology, which contains a silly little lightweight story called "The Magic of MAGA" is going to be my first published work. The anthology is meant to be a lighthearted and positive view of how things are likely to change now that Trump has been elected. The book is going on sale on November 8, 2017, to mark the anniversary of the election. If the mood takes you, please buy a copy. I figure I get about $.15 in royalties per copy, so I am expecting to make enough to buy a pizza. Maybe.
The miscarriage of justice started much earlier when you had a two star general rule that no-one was killed while looking for Bergdahl, even thoug you had soldiers and SEALS say they were on search operations when their compatriots were killed.
I keep seeing reports (at The Donald) that our recent Mohammed Al Trucki was an intern for DWS. The first was /pol retweeting that info from CNN (shitpost?), but more posts making that claim. Seems far fetched. But most of what is going on these days seems far fetched.
Here is a link to the preorder of the Kindle version on Amazon. I think that there will be a dead tree edition you can buy on November 8. Not completely sure, I haven't actually seen what is in the anthology except my own contribution.

This has to be one of the most abhorrent judicial decisions in U.S. military history.
I want Clint Lorance released from Ft. Leavenworth prison NOW and Colonel Jeffery Nance removed from the bench and charged with dereliction of duty. The last thing we damn need is judicial activism perverting and destroying our military justice system.
Well the special election almost upon us to replace Jason Chaffetz. Maybe the Democrats are finally going to get a single victory? Not likely according to the polls as Curtis leads his Democrat opponent 46 to 19 ( not a typo ).
The House has the ability to seat immediately and Curtis supports the tax bill so expect to see another vote in the House for the bill in about a week or so.
David, congratulations, I will put that book on my Christmas wishlist so one of my relatives will likely get it for me by Christmas.
I also wanted to say that the article about the gem display at the AMNH that Jack linked is great, especially knowing that it was written by the daughter of JOMers Harry and Tonto. An attorney with whom I work, a young associate, was married this past July, and in her wedding vows, she talked about she and her husband to be had their first date at the AMNH and how much they liked that room. Small world!
I'd be happy to talk some time, you have quite the family! And good reason to be proud of them.

Just dropping in to mention when I sent out RG's column to all my pals, I happened to mention the erudite conversation between sbw and RG where I'm sure they were holding their pinkies extended while sipping their tea. Something about their mommas as I recall. :))
This very week, Tim Kaine lied on CNN and was not corrected. He needs to have his lips sewn shut. As it is, this lie is with evil intent and falls under the Catholic heading of a mortal sin. But, hey! He's a Catholic democrat.
KAINE: If you’re asking about the dossier, that was funded by an online conservative publication in Washington, The Washington Free Beacon--
CAMEROTA: At first, then the Hillary campaign, right?
KAINE: Let me finish — and they hired a firm with a British secret service agent.
Narciso is not interested in intelligibility, thus copy and paste are too un-numinous. Cheers to narciso on general grounds, though intelligibility is also a nice thing.
Nytol myself--or should I first share my v. modest adventures with the press? I'll share, assuming that everyone is about to hit the virtuous sheet and thus that no one will pay attention: today in my inbox was a request from the higher education specialist at the Lincoln Journal-Star wanting to talk to me about the recent controversies as he had heard that I was a conservative, and the point of the interview, as he framed it, was to help point out that the department is not "monolithic" in its point of view. But of course it is monolithic--there's no question about it, so I replied that I appreciated his inquiry, but that being interviewed on this score would be for me both dangerous and unwise, and that I requested that he not report my refusal to be interviewed, as even that could be no good. He replied that he understood and all was well. Hear late in the day from another colleague, an administrator, who had gotten the same request and was thinking about talking to the reporter off the record. I didn't know this colleague was not a liberal until that moment--a nice surprise. We had a v. nice conversation--and I couldn't give counsel, because what to do is so entirely situational. We will see. Hope you are all asleep--I tell you you don't mess with these people...
Yes, Porch and MM, it was something of a pleasant surprise--we're to have lunch soon. There are certainly here and there conservative grad students and lecturers, but really as far as the department's view goes, everyone is with the "woke" program (sillies).
Ick. What a pair. Throw in the communist who just graduated from the military academy, and you shudder at the swine the democrats have to offer. And, they never seem to be ashamed of anything they do or any of their political stars.
This makes me shake my head at the blind, ignorant, and foolish hypocrisy of the New Orleans Saints -- they are disappointed this veteran chose to decline their award 'in such a public fashion' -- but they don't mind their players kneeling in 'public fashion' during our national anthem.
The dolts on the Saints really are killing the goose laying the golden eggs and are too fucking dumb to understand it. I really haven't missed the NFL at all, which would be very distressing to a well run organization.
I'm pretty tired, so much so that I didn't dig too deeply into it, nor any of the subsequent links, but I think the article in question fails mainly for being extremely unfunny. Don't get me started on how so many elements of jazz richly deserve a satiric skewering and the cult around Sonny Rollins is a primary target; but this fell far short of what it could have been. And the man himself, even though I've stopped listening to his music for subjective reasons about which I won't bore anyone, is a class act and, as usual, acquits himself well when quoted in the link.
I was looking to see who she played on Boardwalk Empire, as I did not recall her.
I'm thinking someone with the nickname Crazypants might just not be who you would normally want as a your witness in a rape trial---but times, they are a changin'...
Not a lawyer, but that Kaine quote sure seems to reveal how much trouble they’re in hiring a foreigner as part of the campaign. And going through Elias - yeah, that’ll throw them off the trail.
I really haven't missed the NFL at all, which would be very distressing to a well run organization.
It really is mind blowing (or maybe not) that people who were for the most part good enough businessmen to amass billion dollar fortunes, have ompletely forgotten everything they ever knew about running a successful organization.
he may not be a total swamp creature, but he's definitely blind to the nature of the progs. He sees the hard-leftists at DoJ and the Clintons and the rest (wrongfully) as peers. He may disagree with them on everything but they're basically decent people. People like him, just with different politics. Respectable people. Not as the toxic, destructive monsters they are.
I can't remember if this got posted yesterday. I follow Katica on Twitter and she has been busy posting this information for 2 days. Sundance at Treehouse has collated and explained its significance:
Narrative Change Alert: The Economist on Twitter now claims Mueller is trying to make it harder for foreigners to influence US elections, not trying to remove Trump.
And Brooks says "Our elites really do stink," when he's talking about Democratic party corruption. Looks like PBS could find an actual conservative. What happened to Gigot? Give us Gergen!
IIRC, Trump was the only candidate who said he might not support the eventual nominee. Funny how it's just about everyone else that isn't supporting him. Bushes bail
In which I lose respect for Barone. But after commiserating with
Trump-style haters, he admits Trump-actions are reasonable and good. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/michael-barone-keep-calm-and-carry-on/article/2639315
"... Trump’s insult-laden style and constant tweeting strikes many people (including me) as repugnant ..."
"The Trump team is operating in a target-rich environment, due to Barack Obama’s legally dubious “pen and phone” executive orders like the DACA “Dreamers” amnesty and spending unappropriated funds on Obamacare’s cost-saving reduction payments."

And the man himself, even though I've stopped listening to his music for subjective reasons about which I won't bore anyone, is a class act and, as usual, acquits himself well when quoted in the link.

narciso, there's this thing called copy and then this thing called paste.
And then there's this thing called glue.

Veteran's Day weekend will be a good time to boycott the NFL.

All I got is this--the actress who is behind the active rape investigation of NYPD of Harvey Weinstein:
http://uproxx.com/tv/next-season-reportedly-last-boardwalk-empire-scuttlebutt-anonymous-insider/
I was looking to see who she played on Boardwalk Empire, as I did not recall her.
I'm thinking someone with the nickname Crazypants might just not be who you would normally want as a your witness in a rape trial---but times, they are a changin'...

Not sure at this point if Sessions not recused is a good thing or bad. :/

He sure does come across as inadequate for what the times demand. He seems to insist on playing by the rules that are stacked against him.

Re: Sessions
he may not be a total swamp creature, but he's definitely blind to the nature of the progs. He sees the hard-leftists at DoJ and the Clintons and the rest (wrongfully) as peers. He may disagree with them on everything but they're basically decent people. People like him, just with different politics. Respectable people. Not as the toxic, destructive monsters they are.

Good morning!
This is a great interview with Robert Lighthizer, the US Trade Representative:

I can't remember if this got posted yesterday. I follow Katica on Twitter and she has been busy posting this information for 2 days. Sundance at Treehouse has collated and explained its significance:

That 7:11 is worth a repost and definitely worth reading. This is what Mueller, Rosenstein, Comey, McCabe, Holder, and Lynch shut down.
Posted by: henry | November 04, 2017 at 08:00 AM
Narrative Change Alert: The Economist on Twitter now claims Mueller is trying to make it harder for foreigners to influence US elections, not trying to remove Trump.
Mueller's coup failed. This is the spin.

Mark Shields turns on Obama
"it’s proof, ... to me of how little Barack Obama cared about the Democratic Party or about politics."
Posted by: Ralph L | November 04, 2017 at 08:48 AM
To excuse H's money grubbing:
" He was leaving the party $24 million in debt, therefore, vulnerable to Hillary Clinton’s coterie of big givers."
Posted by: Ralph L | November 04, 2017 at 08:50 AM
Woodruff, Shields, and Brooks. That qualifies as "Lamentations of their women." Good to hear.
Posted by: henry | November 04, 2017 at 08:55 AM
How quickly they turn when they hear that they lost some money...
Posted by: mockmook | November 04, 2017 at 08:55 AM
And Brooks says "Our elites really do stink," when he's talking about Democratic party corruption. Looks like PBS could find an actual conservative. What happened to Gigot? Give us Gergen!

Would very much appreciate Saudi Arabia doing their IPO of Aramco with the New York Stock Exchange. Important to the United States!

So "HW" thinks he'll be the last GOP Pres.
I think he left out a letter in GOPe. Too bad for him, the disdain of elites is a bracing tonic for us Deplorables.
