I cannot tell you guys how infuriated I am with the Bushes. Foro the longest time I admired that family. I wrote a sympathetic note to HW when he lost to Clinton, thanking him for his service. I stood in the cold to demonstrate at the State Capitol during the Florida recount.

I even accepted that they cared about the country and kept quiet during Clinton and Obama's terms because they felt like it wasn't helpful for a past president to criticize a current president.

All of it was a charade and they are nothing but elitist, self-serving POS who don't give a damn about anyone but their club. I am disgusted with them almost more than Bill Clinton.

Everyone is ocused on potential legal charges against various Dem office holders. And that's well and good.

But I notice body blows delivered to Dem constituencies like MSM, NFL, Hollywood, even the recent coverage of dysfunctional Reed College as an example of what our education system has become. One group that has not seen high profile carnage is the bureaucracy. Yet, this week's publication of a global warming document is an example that indicates unelected govt workers are likely the backbone of the "resistance". I'd bet there are lots of anti-Trump actions taking place unreported and off the radar. So I'd love to see something dramatic happen to begin the process of having them work for taxpayers, not the other way round.

I understand, but the order in which these groups are being neutralized makes more sense. If you started with the bureaucracy, Hollywood and various media organizations would come to their defense, portraying them as "heroic whistle blowers" or something.

By the collapse in NFL revenue, the television networks are deprived of revenue that they count on. Hollywood's clout as a moral authority has been pretty much destroyed. Fake News is the "word of the year" and people are looking for other news sources.

I imagine we will see the bureaucracy beginning to be cleaned out next year. Some of the departments have already laid off people or refused to fill slots. It's going to take a little while.

Returned from a biz trip to TX last night.

On 1st leg down Wednesday out of Columbus, was seated by a family with 3 kids on way to Disney.

Sat next to dad who was obviously military. Turns out he has operational command of the Air Guard refueling wing at Rickenbacker. He had just returned from Guam where unit was deployed.

He flies right seat KC-135, said they were very busy with operations in support of NORK situation. We have a 24/7 air presence in the immediate area with lots of birds in the air. Heat is cranked up to 11.

Said we have EVERYTHING we need at Guam to deal with any eventuality.

OL: I'm not sure I agree with you :) -- about Biden's appeal two or three years from now. How old will he be? Mostly I'm basing my opinion of Sanders and Warren on their appeal to the youth and their ignorance of socialism. Those two are red meat to the left, hard left, young, and people who vote on what they're going to get. I think they outnumber Biden voters and conservatives.

As to the "Biggest Tax Cut in History" as drafted by Paul Ryan, I would love to see to graphics:

Using the actual income tax receipts of, say, 2016, create a pie chart of totals taxes received from indiviuals by quintiles and from corporations and from estates. So, say, seven slices. Size of the circle = total taxes received from all sources.

Then, applying the Proposed Greastest Tax Cut Ever in all of it's details to the actual tax returns from the 2016 chart... totally static, then show me the new Pie Chart. So me if it would have raised more or less tax revenue in 2016, and then what the seven slices would look like.

IF the new pie is the same size or bigger that the actual first pie, then this is not a Tax Cut at all or it is a Tax Increase.

But if the two pies are the same size, the changes in the slices will identify the winners and the loser.

Why, oh why, is that simple analytical tool available?
