Although I haven't read any of the comments yet over at American Greatness (thanks, though, for your efforts Iggy), last I saw they were around 200. That's amazing to me for a first column. The piece seems to have struck a chord and for that I am quite pleased.

By the way, most of my black friends don't want to engage the column. We'll see what next week brings when a few more may have time to talk. And the picture chosen by the editors, I'm certain, is going to prove to be quite controversial.

Things in the ME are getting interesting again. ISIS is getting crushed from all sides now, just as Trump promised. The Houthis just launched a supposedly home grown SCUD at Riyadh, which is about as likely as their sending a camel into orbit. And the Lebanese prime minister has resigned citing Iranian interference and a possible assassination plot against him.

Barzani apparently really overstepped the rules when he called for an independent Kurdistan and so now the Sunnis and Shia are both pissed off at them, b 40% of the Kurds GNP (Mosul oil) has been encumbered and so that bears watching.

The evidence of Iranian meddling is widespread and it is likely that there will be a reaction now. A part of the Bin Laden document release included documentation of the pragmatic relationship between Al Q'aeda and the Iranians.

And so all of these threads of Iranian interference in the affairs of their neighbors are coming to a head. You really don't want to piss off the Gulf Arabs and the Egyptians, and that missile, which more than likely came from Teheran, may be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
