Many of us soak in that world view, esp those of us living in benighted blue states. We come here to hang out with like-minded friends, etc. So the effort is not really useful.

I recommend watching the raw feed at the beginning, if only for a little bit. It's fascinating to see him interact with the young athletes who all seem to really LIKE him. The first group of young women are simply beaming and it proves my point about his attraction to women (although the young guys like him as well). He's very relaxed and jokes with each group and enjoys himself tremendously.

I like to watch things like this because there is no editing and you get a feel for the mood around the White House, which is decidedly NOT in crisis mode.

Last night on Hannity's Show Jon Soloman and Sarah Carter were on saying that he was not a Lobbyist, he was a Consultant, and stressing that distinction as if it makes some significant difference. My take was that lobbyist could allow the Press to make him look like some paid shill, thus undermining his character, integrity, and motives right from the git-go, whereas his true role as a Consultant is totally different, and does not carry a connotation of suspect venal innuendo.

Senator Kennedy wrote 2500 bills according to some reports and 300 of them became laws.
