Weird Al Franken has two more accusers. He is not even pretending to apologize:
In a statement to HuffPost, Franken said, “It’s difficult to respond to anonymous accusers, and I don’t remember those campaign events.”
Not exactly "Believe the women" material. In any case, they described the venues, and it is not as if he ever knew their names.

Whether or not that was consensual sexting, the threat of arrest approaches abuse of power.

"One more note from the story. Earlier in the day, Barton's spokeswoman told The Dallas Morning News that the congressman has no plans to step down."
I wonder if we could get a poll of how many voters think it is important to know what their lawmaker looks like totally.

I urge everyone who has some doubts about the Dem/Prog agenda and the size of their Resistance, to go to MM's 9:39 and in the Legal Insurrection link, click on the "agenda" and just read the rules for the conference goers.

I can hear the Macy's Parade on in the other room. It seemed to me like I was hearing a lot of show tunes, and someone on Twitter just started complaining that it wasn't really parade coverage, but simply Broadway show performances strung together with lots of chatter between the anchors in between.
Now someone just tweeted they thought some bystander live streaming it would have better coverage.

Jack "...who has some doubts about the Dem/Prog agenda..."
Reminds me of the wisdom about poker "if you cannot tell in two minutes who the mark is, you are it."
But seriously, I think many of us here have reached a higher degree of clarity in which we have no doubts whatsoever what the agenda is for all of those riding in the wagons. I am so far past "well, that's just their opinion..." that I can't believe I used to be so charitable toward them. They are my enemy.

Old Lurker,
You can tell they aren't confident of their "ideas" because they are always secretive, plotting and trying to deceive.
What I do not understand is what improvements they think will occur if everyone is subjugated to their power and policies.
We have numerous examples throughout history going all the way back to the Slave revolt during the Roman Empire. People want freedom. Those who are deceived into thinking there is a free lunch eventually discover there isn't and that they sold their birthright for a mass of pottage, and are not pleased with the results.
It would be interesting to find out what people like Tom Steyer actually want to accomplish.

OL - what irritates me is those among us who can't bear to acknowledge these seditionists and crypto-totalitarians are the enemy because they feel it makes us 'just as bad as them.'
we saw the japanese as the enemy until we'd won the war and after it was won had no problem going back to seeing them as not the enemy again.
Posted by: exdemocrat | November 23, 2017 at 10:09 AM
For years it's been a cliche to hear "Repubs think Dems are mistaken; Dems think Repubs are evil".
That may be changing?
OL: "I am so far past "well, that's just their opinion..." that I can't believe I used to be so charitable toward them. They are my enemy."

Good Morning all, headed over to the in-laws in a bit so I just wanted to wish all a great holiday.
Just a little story about my fil, it kind of relates to current events as it involves broken ribs and hunting. He's 82 now and three years ago he was on his annual hunting trip with an old friend from PA. They hunt with those 4-wheel atv's and after shooting a large doe, he tied it to the back of his and flipped it over climbing up a steep hill. Well he broke 5 ribs when it landed on him, spent four days in the hospital and drove home without telling anyone that he had been injured. Toughest guy I know!
Have a great day everyone and MissM, this may turnout to be the best Thanksgiving ever! I screwed up on Fathers Day.

As I feared, that Daily Mail story on "American mercenaries torturing Arab corruption prisoners" is starting to get traction. First Zerohedge picked it up, and now I have seen two retweets with approving commentary on my Twitter feed.
That story is not really verified and in fact only has one supposed source in Saudi Arabia. I am dubious about the entire thing.
I will bet by Monday the dems will be demanding a human rights investigation.

The "improvement" they're looking for, MM, is we will no longer have the option of saying no to them.
Their aim is the end of self governance though they will be happy to pay it lip service.
Trust them; it will be different this time.

Wikileaks Massive Exposure: Here Are 6 Republicans Who Took Bribes From Clinton To ‘Destroy Trump’
November 19, 2017 admin 0 Comments
Hillary Clinton is still whining about her humiliating loss to President Donald Trump in last year’s election. She plans to take him down and her plan involves some powerful Republicans.
Wikileaks named Paul Ryan, Carly Fiorina, John Kasich, Jeb Bush, Lindsey Graham, and John McCain as Republicans who were paid off by Clinton to ensure that Donald Trump lost the election, or undermine him if he won as reported by Conservative Daily Post. Her evil plot was revealed in an email sent last July from Clinton’s campaign manager John Podesta to top aide Huma Abedin.
Podesta detailed how the funds were being redirected from Clinton’s campaign to the Super PACs of Carly Fiorina, John Kasich, and Jeb Bush.
“JB, CF, and JK PACS will be noticeably silent for the rest of the campaign.” The email continued, “Each will receive a significant allowance from advertising budget. HRC is in the loop and has talked to all three personally. Eyes only.”
As revealed in other emails, several members of the Republican Party were bought off in order to push the Clinton agenda forward.
Only one day before Speaker of the House Paul Ryan retracted Donald Trump’s invitation to speak at an event in Wisconsin, an email was sent out that could be to blame. It read, “He is on board, will retract the invitation to speak. Eyes only.”
Other Clinton emails imply that money is being moved to Republican elected officials in the House and Senate. For example, right after John McCain attacked President Trump by publicly criticizing him, FEC records show that two large donations from PACS and private sources went to the senator immediately after.
‘SHARE’ this story to expose establishment Republicans.

Jane, that sounds too convenient to be true.
Posted by: henry | November 23, 2017 at 10:59 AM
Jane,
I hadn't seen that, but it would not surprise me. Of course they will deny it, but Paul Ryan and the rest should be up front denying that, and so far I have seen nothing.
Which lack of denial is similar to the sex scandal people who release those carefully constructed non-denials promising to learn and grow and such.

What I do not understand is what improvements they think will occur if everyone is subjugated to their power and policies.
The “improvement” will be that THEY’RE in charge and get to lord it over the rest of us who will live as serfs and subsist on whatever scraps they deign to throw to us.
It’s really that simple.

Well. Even if it were not true, what would they have done differently? Only difference is whether they were paid to do it.
