Merry New Ear!

James D.

Fantastic Pieces, Clarice! Thank you for the amazing articles all year long!

MSM has turned it up to eleventy. Desperate to discredit POTUS as this is all comes down (I am hoping, any way!!!)
Running in to the same thing from my LIV Non D partners the last two days at work that jimmy k reported with his BIL--telling me how Trump's behavior ensure no R ever wins again. PLEASE--read something, guys!
Listening to NPR on your way in to work isn't cutting it.

If somebody can post Rand Paul's Twitter Festivus grievances from yesterday in one of the easy to read formats, they make for an amusing start to this lovely day.

My husband volunteered one of his most memorable Christmas Eves just now--our first as a married couple, when we were at my parents home in Manistee, Michigan (the only year they lived there) which is on Lake Michigan and boomed during the lumbering era of the 1880s. We walked as a family of eight from the home they were renting along the snow piled sidewalks and streets(record snow that December) to the Catholic church built 100 years before, when lumber was king there. Rather European looking and ornate. It was lit only by candles. He'd been raised as a heathen, so the entire thing was rather new.
(I checked; pagan differs from)

I've got Adblock plus on Firefox, so the page loaded like a charm. Nice work, Clarice.

Clarice, very nice present for deplorables to pass around. I love it!

BTW, Rather than January 1st, withholding changes February 1st, according to the IRS, but leave it since the concept still works.

Bravo Zulu, Clarice. A splendid opening to the day.

Off soon for my first round of golf since April 2015. My two Belgian nephews drove down from Hilton Head, where the oldest is a PGA apprentice. They along with Mrs. JiB and Frederick are playing also.

I still say that now the tax bill is out of the way and they don’t shut down the govt, PDT will pull the trigger on all the seditionists. He’s got my vote.

The fundamental problem with Democrats is that they think the Trump team and supporters are as unprincipled, venal, and avaricious as they are.

In 2018 they will get rolled up because unlike Patton, Democrats haven’t read the book.

Good catch, sbw.

A Midas grade in .410 might be $15,000.

This is a video explaining Qanon. I do not go to 4chan so was unaware of some of this stuff.

Whoever this person or persons are, they have a lot of information, some seemingly bizarre.

What I want to know is if Trump's tweets really do coordinate with some of qanon's sayings, and what group has the resources to make a video like this, complete with theme music.

Has anyone here followed this? I am mystified and rather alarmed, as this seems to be a lot bigger and more sinister than the evil stuff I knew the Clinton and Obama group did.

I have no idea if this is real, a hoax, or psy-ops to frighten the Deep State.

Major general Ali Alqahtani, who was detained in early November as part of an alleged anti-corruption drive, had been working in the royal guard forces.

He was the manager of the private office of Prince Turki Bin Abdullah, the son of former king Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, according to the newspaper.

Alqahtani died on 12 December after being tortured with electric shocks, and his family struggled to recognise him after receiving his body, according to sources, the newspaper reported.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

Trump's action using the Magnitsky Act strikes me as the representative republican counterpart to what is happening in Saudi Arabia; depriving our enemies, foreign and domestic of the lifeblood of curroptocrats, money.

Naturally it takes someone like Trump with a lifetime swimming with the remoras trying to feed off his scraps to recognize their vulnerable carotid artery.

Don Surber:

Trump rid conservatism of its phonies

Trump is Al Czervik. They are Judge Smails. We're the caddies.

[Roger] Simon holds out hope that the Never Trumpers will see the light:

But a war is coming -- you can almost feel it in the air. We should all pray that it will be non-violent and work hard to keep it that way. But we should also have our ideological troops ready and prepared for that imminent battle for the hearts and minds. It's going to be pivotal.
NeverTrumpers, please join. Past disagreements will be instantly forgotten and your skills immediately welcomed. I think you can depend on that.
Frankly, I do not want them on our side.

They are untrustworthy and incompetent.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

I think one thing that should come of this is that Presidential libraries should be involved only with the preservation of papers and memorabilia, and there should be NO fondations attached for any purpose whatsoever.

If they want to be involved in charity work, they can raise funds for the Salvation Army or something.

For the life of me I do not understand why no one outside of conservative circles saw the Clinton Foundation as problematic, and as a huge vehicle for buying favors for donors and for the Clintons to wield influence.

I would put the Bush Foundation in that same category, although on a smaller scale. I wonder how much donations spiked during Jeb's run-up to declaring he would run, and how much they dropped after he quit the race.

IG to release 1.2M pages of evidence on Jan 15.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

As great as Reagan was and as great as his achievements, I'm forced to concede even he did not, at least domestically, govern as effectively or as boldly as Trump.
It is slowly emerging that Trump has not only declared war on the administrative state through his attacks on overregulation and winnowing out of the bureaucrats but he has decided he will choke the sick prog-state nexus that has funneled so many billions of taxpayer dollars and foreign interests' monies to the prog enemies of all taxpayers.

If he could count on a congress to statutorily help him throttle those scum, the pinko slime would be set back at least a half century in their drive to collectivize us.

art in newport

Miss Marple, I watched the video on my tablet ... Couldn't get much detail. Does it answer any of the questions it poses? Like, who are the three families that (supposedly) control everything? Thx.

Clarice Feldman

Excellent, Iggy.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

I agree. One thing I seriously wonder about is whether they were ever really on our side, or were simply trying to steer ui to defeat while standing on "principles".

I gave my explanation on Bill Kristol a few threads ago. He destroyed Dan Quayle with his advice. He sandbagged Bush 43 by instigating the Jeffords Jump.

All the while he was skulking around DC he was stirring up conflict and distrust. He starts a magazine which STILL trashed President Trump, and although Hadley is now the editor, it takes positions which are unreasonable.

And I haven't even gotten to David Frum, Max Boot, Evan McMullin (whom I believe to be a Deep State operative) and the rest.

No, I don't want them. If they couldn't come to our side after the appointment of the most stellar cabinet in history, successful foreign policy advances, and the defeat of ISIS (not to mention tax cuts and reform) I do not want them. They are unnecessary baggage we do not need.

Clarice Feldman

And yes, MM--these presidential libraries and foundation should go--and the pensions should depend on income. why should we pay them for life if, unlike Truman, they are cashing in big time on their wh years.

Captain Hate on the iPhone

Iggy, I think at times RR let his unflagging optimism blind him to the depraved nature of what opposed him.

Thoughts on HoldMyNoser Hugh Hewitt by Deplorable Don.
"Hugh Hewitt is outside my ken. There are too many conservative voices out there for me to keep up with all of them. ... (A fan pointed out a 15 year old Hewitt T-shirt) On the back, it listed the five things he was calling for Bush to do, as a Conservative president. Things he never did.
Win the war.
Confirm the judges.
Cut the taxes.
Control the spending.
Secure the border.
... eventually Hewitt voted for Trump. In many ways that is a more admirable vote than mine was because Hewitt really had to put principle first. I had no trouble voting. He had to hold his nose and cross his fingers.
... remember Trump's campaign song:
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes, yeah
You might find you get what you need!

Miss Marple the Deplorable

art in newport,

Iggy, a Midas grade in .410 might be $15,000

How about a 28 ga. Grade V Citori with cosmoline still in the bbls?

Great capper for an amazing week, Clarice!

Hewitt really had to put principle first.

Hewitt never held his nose, his hand was too busy checking which way the wind was blowing so he could be on the winning team at a moments notice.

Captain Hate on the iPhone

Hewitt needs to drop the Cleveland references while obviously preferring to live in California. Few things irk me as much as that does.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

A Lowry or a Goldberg or a Hewitt who has by now come around to or at least acknowledged the validity of the dark side due to the incontrovertible evidence that Trump, despite whatever style points they deduct, is the real deal I have no problem welcoming.

A Kristol, JPod, Hayes or Boot who remain obdurately opposed despite the obvious sincerity of Trump in cutting our enemies down to size could never be trusted.
Better they wallow in their growing irrelevancy and weird conceits.

Clarice Feldman

Thanks.I'm just the scribe of JOM.

After the passage of this tax bill, without one Dem vote, anyone who's still #NeverTrump is an enemy combatant and should be treated accordingly.

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

I was actually quite a bit low on a .410 Midas Superposed. $20,000 and up.

MT, a Grade V Citori in new condition looks like $5-6,000.

Captain Hate on the iPhone

We're not a gated community to keep the NeverTrumps out like they'd do to us deplorables. Doesn't mean we have to roll out the Welcome Wagon either. More like welcome to the party; now STFU.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

art in newport,

The point of that video is not to give people information, but more to explain qho Q anon is and what he is doing.

My interest in this is that for some time, perhaps since the President'ss campaign, I have felt that there is soething bigger going on than the usual political disputes, and that not everything is as it seems on the surface.

Sometime I think I am just fanciful from spending too much time on the computer, and sometimes I catch glimpses (like those sanctions on those Clinton-connected foreign thugs the other day) that I am right and something big is going on.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Captain Hate,

My concern is spies. I am serious. There are things going on we don't know about.

Flake: Trump Rallies Are The ‘Spasms Of A Dying Party’

“When you look at some of the audiences cheering for Republicans, sometimes, you look out there and you say, ‘Those are the spasms of a dying party,'” Flake said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.”

The outgoing senator elaborated on what he feels is a party facing an existential crisis. Flake believes the Republican platform is catering too much to “older white men.”

He feels the party is governing through “anger and resentment,” a philosophy he says is unsustainable.

Flake believes the president may alienate enough Republican voters in 2020 that he will invite a GOP challenger.

“I do believe if the president is running for reelection, if he continues on the path that he’s on, that that’s going to leave a huge swath of voters looking for something else,” Flake said.

He's not the brightest backstabber.

Clarice Feldman

Pay attention to this part of the executive order:Part of the Executive Order:
(B) to be a current or former government official, or a person acting for or on behalf of such an official, who is responsible for or complicit in, or has directly or indirectly engaged in:

(2) the transfer or the facilitation of the transfer of the proceeds of corruption;

Bill Kristol: ‘I Was Wrong’ About The GOP Tax Bill

Tax reform won't even get a vote in Congress this year. I'd be surprised if it made it through committee in either house. https://t.co/WMJBpwKrmZ

— Bill Kristol (@BillKristol) August 29, 2017
When asked by The Daily Caller about his August tax reform package prediction, he responded Saturday night in an email, “I was wrong.”

Kristol’s failed predictions are legendary around the beltway and often mocked. Back in 2011, The Atlantic listed some of Kristol’s worst predictions, including that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani would run for the presidency against Hillary Clinton and Clinton would win.

In 2015, Salon noted Kristol’s prediction when he said, “Barack Obama is not going to beat Hillary Clinton in a single Democratic primary. I’ll predict that right now.” Politico pointed to a few of Kristol’s bad predictions last year.

“Prediction: 2016 GOP MVP will be @Reince, who steps up, ensures open convention, saves party from Trump and produces ticket that wins in Nov,” Kristol tweeted.

Bill Kristol on Twitter, May 29, 2016, said: “There will be an independent candidate–an impressive one, with a strong team and a real chance.”

Kristol predicted one week before Christmas that Trump would fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions and replace him with now Environmental Protection Agency administrator Scott Pruitt. Additionally, He claimed Jared Kushner would be indicted and Congress would fail to avoid a government shutdown, among other failed predictions.

'Twas the week before Christmas
Mon: Trump fires Sessions, names Pruitt Acting AG.
Tue: Story breaks detailing sexual misconduct of 20 members of Congress.
Wed: Mueller indicts Kushner.
Thur: Pruitt fires Mueller (and Rosenstein).
Fri: Congress fails to avert government shutdown.

Critics Attack Hallmark’s Christmas Movies: ‘They Brim with White Heterosexuals’

Sugar-spun traits of “real” America dominate Hallmark’s movie plots through the year, in fact. Plots typically involve characters from or living in the mythological small towns of “real” America, melting the hard hearts of big-city folks or bah humbug grinches with their honest optimism and pure, decent values.

They’re centered on beauty-pageant heroines and strong-jawed heroes with white-nationalist haircuts. There are occasional sightings of Christmas sweater–wearing black people, but they exist only to cheer on the dreams of the white leads, and everyone on Trump’s naughty list—Muslims, gay people, feminists—has never crossed the snowcapped green-screen mountains to taint these quaint Christmas villages. “Santa Just Is White” seems to be etched into every Hallmark movie’s town seal.

“Well, as you say, overwhelmingly, they are about white people,” Holmes said. “And there have been little tiny steps. They made one this year with Alexa PenaVega and her husband, Carlos PenaVega. And they were explicitly written in the film as a Latino family. But for the most part, that’s not the case.”

“And I think the thing that’s funny about that is one of the main demographics they’re trying to appeal to – a lot of it, I would generalize is somewhat older religious people,” Holmes said. “A lot of older religious people are black people and Latino people and all of that. So it’s funny to me that they haven’t made the decision – hey, you know, we’re leaving a lot of money on the table.”

I heard about 20 seconds of MTP this morning. The segment was on the media. The first comment by a liberal woman was: "This has been a great year for the media".

Anyone know what Jackson Lee has" worked on to help people" If she voted No on the tax bill?

Flake misreads his own words:

“Those are the spasms of a dying party'” -- Flake’s GOPe

“a party facing an existential crisis” -- Flake’s GOPe

“catering too much to ‘older white men.’” -- McCain, Corker

The party is governing through “anger and resentment” -- Flake, McCain et al were going to take Trump down

Trump may alienate enough Republican voters in 2020 that he will invite a GOP challenger -- Dream on

“if he continues on the path that he’s on, that that’s going to leave a huge swath of voters looking for something else,” -- Yeah. Democrats and the GOPe

Ignatz Ratzkiwatzki

Maybe it's the flaky RINO wing of the party that is mortally wounded.

US Rep Jackson This saddens me, especially at this time of year given all of the things we have to work on to help people.

I think so. A lot of people do not realize that is an actual crime, apparently, including many in the FBI.

My personal opinion is that they are going to have to start with the crimes which are black and white, no political spin will work on them. This would include involvement in human trafficking and child porn, drug sales, selling weapons to terrorists, etc.

The stuff within the FBI would be spin as "defending the nation from the Russian= influenced administration."

That is why the Hezbollah drug ring is so important. It's a nexus between some of these people and drugs and terrorism.

$28 a Month? Huh?

I'm the only prog that has a begrudging respect for Steve Bannon(fuckin Irish). I hate the guy, but man at least he has a genuine political philosophy which is rooted is some pretty radical notions taken straight out of the Italian renaissance.

He's a thinker.

It's why I despise Trump. He has no ideas.Man,if it takes 2 Senators to explain to you the difference between medicaid and medicare you need to walk the fuck away from the game.

Flake seems to be blind to the anger and resentment of the leftists.

In 1992, Jeff and his family moved back to Arizona where he was named Executive Director of the Goldwater Institute. In this role, Jeff worked to promote a conservative philosophy of less government, more freedom, and individual responsibility.
Between then and now, Flake seems imo to have forgotten those goals and taken on some more progressive ones.

Hillary's big mistake was staying in the limelight. People like muy daughter (who voted for her because she was scared of Trump) are continually reminded by her very presnce of how she cheated Bernie and how she is a money grubber. My daughter now hates her.

Other than those who are bound to her by criminal activities and accepting payoffs, she is going to find that she has few allies.

She would have been better off retreating into silence, where she could have assumed mythical proportions. Instead, she has remained as a continual reminder of her money-grubbing and cheating behavior.

I believe the Foundation will be targeted first, as it is the easiest chunk of corruption to understand. However, that Hezbollah drug ring will get more attentin in the new year, so Obama isn't out of the woods, either.

When Trump said "Because you'd be in jail" it wasn't a snappy comeback alone. He meant it.

I think this decision was illconsidered:

I agree, Miss M. Think of the evidence that is now out there that wasn't there in January when Hillary was still doing her wounded bird act.

He gave her the chance to slink away quietly, but being a foul, nasty Clinton, she couldn't do it. Her funeral.
