Andy McCarthy thinks Mueller is on track to clear Trump. Which suggests, if Mueller is a Jedi master, that he hired a bunch of Clintonistas to be sure he had cover when the non-charges came in.
Here's hoping! I still fear the spectre of process crimes such as lying or obstruction in the investigation of a non-crime.
OTOH, Dems are all about Trump's women now, not Trump's Russians. Although if they go after him for misbehaving with Russian women well, all bets are off.

Meanwhile, I am seeing a couple of posts on Twitter indicating there was something fishy in the Alabama vote count. Perhaps not enough to switch the election, but enough to open an investigation into fraudulent voting.
This could be more wishful thinking on the part of the posters, and I am not yet convinced. Just wanted to make you guys aware it was out there.

Mueller, his partners in crime Rosenstein and Comey, plus a cast of thousands of lesser pawns like Strzok positively think they can choose roommates at Leavenworth. Bubba positively thinks he is in charge. I'll wager on bubba.

OK, Jack, here it is. (I don't think the bolding for emphasis will show up, but at least you will get the gist):
Good observation from Tucker on Strzok: My transcript:
Tucker: Now it looks like top FBI Officials met in McCabe's office to plan some kind of "Insurance" in case trump became President. Would that Insurance include hamstringing the Presidency with a politicly motivated Russia Investigation? We can only guess, tho' that would have been an effective plan. So the trove of text messages does raise deep and troubling questions about the political motivations of the leadership over at the FBI, but it also makes you wonder about the Intellectual Caliber of the people running that place. As you read the messages, Strzok's comes off less like an incorruptible G-Man of old, and more like a drunk guy on FaceBook...
---"OMG. Trump's an idiot!...
---America will get what the voting public deserve...
---Congrats on a woman nominated for President in a major party! About damn time!...
---(Hillary should win the Election) One Hundred million to 0...
---Turn it on, turn it on! The Douchebags are about to come out!...
Keep in mind this is the man who the NY Times described as "one of the most experienced and trusted FBI Counterintelligence Investigators."...But when you read his texts, he sounds like the 6th Host of The View. That's not good news for Mueller's Investigation. ...That Russian investigation depends upon the impression that the Investigators are capable of high level thought...
Sorry, ran out of transcription tape, but Tucker continues his excellent point as the show rolls on.

Here's a link to explain what Clarice's 09:09 is about:
U.S. judge orders special counsel to turn over evidence on Michael Flynn
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. District Court judge ordered Special Counsel Robert Mueller on Tuesday to turn over any potential evidence that could be material for when he sentences President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael Flynn...
Sullivan told the government in a filing to turn over any exculpatory evidence, known as “Brady” material, that could potentially help Flynn’s defense or information that is “material either to the defendant’s guilt or punishment.”
The order by the judge is considered routine, and the government by law is required to turn over such information to the defense if it exists.
I'm optimistically pessimistic Clarice, or maybe pessimistically optimistic, since that is exactly the same order given by Sullivan to the Prosecutor's in the Ted Stevens Trial which they then totally ignored.
Posted by: daddy | December 13, 2017 at 09:19 PM
It appears to me in answer to my previous question that Flynn would not have been given Mueller's exculpatory material before he pled guilty. Is is too much to dream that Sullivan has taken notice of the prosecutorial shennanigans and Comey's March testimony that the interrogator--Strozak --had reported he did not think Flynn lied?
Posted by: Clarice Feldman | December 13, 2017 at 09:19 PM
The lack of any information on the Las Vegas shooting is beyond infuriating. I never had any desire to go there and I'm thinking a lot of others will think likewise.

Gorka on Hannity makes some good points about why is Strzok not fired and his badge taken and him ordered to leave the premises ASAP? Gorka says that in the HR Department he can do all sorts of dirty work such as covering up all sorts of sources and dirty tricks he did in the past to prevent discovery of past skullduggery.
I agree with that opinion. I don't know what or if Strzok can continue to do grave mischief in his HR position but he ought to be home wearing an ankle bracelet just like Awan until he us brought to testify under Oath. He is totally compromised as an FBI Agent from here on out, so why is he left on the premises where he can potentially do such damage. If he was a Naval Officer he would be in hack.*

From a couple threads back;
--Senator Flake's twitter responses last night after he tweeted decency wins...--
Before Roy Moore fades into history, it shouldn't still astonish me, but it does, that even among those who claim to be pro life, a Senate full of people who are in favor of full term babies being murdered up to minutes before their birth are considered "decent" but some guy who dated a couple of teenagers forty years ago is beyond the pale and unworthy of being in the company of baby-murderers.
Flake and Shelbi et al will never have the slightest problem with playing baseball and slapping the back of people who would gladly destroy the Constitution and disarm us if they could, but Moore is indecent.

Another bob, he does't. But if Mueller's team hid the Strozak notes which Comey said indicated he believed Flynn did not lie, this case is over..either because the judge rejects the pleas or declines to sentence him. And if the Mueller teams plays games with handing it over--watch it hit the fan.

But if Mueller's team hid the Strozak notes which Comey said indicated he believed Flynn did not lie, this case is over..either because the judge rejects the pleas or declines to sentence him.
I hope that happens but that Judge Sullivan gets so upset that he then goes on the warpath and starts demanding heads. Declining to sentence still leaves a stain on Flynn's name. I want vengeance and pain and Flynn sitting on a mountain of government skulls:

On Wednesday’s Mark Levin show, it’s time to have a nationwide debate about what the Republican establishment is doing to the conservative movement and its candidates. Roy Moore’s loss sits squarely at the feet of Mitch McConnell and his surrogates for their character assassination and attacks on Mo Brooks during the Republican primary. McConnell, reached into the Alabama race to support Luther Strange and smear Brooks, because Strange was the only one who would vote for him to be Majority Leader. Karl Rove, McConnell and others calculated that their biggest problem would be Mo Brooks, but they were wrong. They painted Brooks as anti-Trump and a big government Republican which are complete lies. As a result, we now have Doug Jones. McConnell should have stayed out of the special election and treated the people of Alabama with some respect. In addition, there is no nationalist populist movement in this country. We won the House in 2010, the Senate in 2014 and the presidency in 2016 because of conservatives and the Tea Party movement. The answer isn’t nationalist populism, but is to get back to America’s first principles that founded our society. The conservative base is dispirited by Republican’s failures to deliver a repeal of Obamacare and secure the border, among other things. The leadership is not about to do the hard work to cut spending and the size of government, despite what they say. In the meantime, the Democrat base is fired up and Republicans could have trouble during the midterm elections if they don’t get their act together. Later, the Robert Mueller investigation is tainted beyond repair. Rod Rosenstein knows about the obvious bias in Mueller’s investigation and Rosenstein is ultimately in charge of Mueller. If the purpose of this Special Counsel investigation was to be independent, it is certainly not independent of the left. This operation is absolutely poisoned by politics and shows that the left or those sympathetic to them or in control of the upper echelons of the FBI.
Posted by: Captain Hate | December 13, 2017 at 10:06 PM
daddy, he can throw the case out. Thomas Wictor has said for some time that Flynn threw himself on his sword to smoke out the corruption and I thought that fanciful. I no longer do, and I bet Judge Sullivan will see it that way, too. He's been stewing about the DOJ FBI corruption over the last 9 years.
Posted by: Clarice Feldman | December 13, 2017 at 10:06 PM
Totally agree Iggy. And for that little bit of Kabuki theater on Flake’s part, both sides hate him. Because the left will never give him props because he’s a republican.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schaefer_Music_Festival
Tickets were $2 each for general admission. Sold at E. J. Korvettes. I was on line waiting the first day of sale. Bought 2-4 tickets for as many concerts as I could afford.
In 1972 I saw:
June 17: Canned Heat; Dr. John the Night Tripper
July 8: Mandrill; Curtis Mayfield 7 p.m.; The Association / Jackie DeShannon 9:30 p.m.
July 12: Edgar Winter; Blues Project
July 26: Arlo Guthrie; Harry Chapin
July 28: J. Geils Band; Heads Hands & Feet
Aug 5: Mahavishnu Orchestra; Taj Mahal
Aug. 11: Quicksilver Messenger Service; Bull Angus; Pure Food & Drug Act
Aug. 21: The Doors; Flo & Eddie
All at $2 a pop. Even then it was an incredible bargain. And for a 6-7,000 crowd it was very friendly and mellow. Lots of pot. Even if you didn't bring your own you'd get a contact high just breathing in the ambient air.

So, the Dems were successful in Alabama ofdoing their own version of Operation Chaos as Rush termed it in early 2008 when Hillary and Obama were vying for dem nomination. my own thoughts was 2008 was just to get Obama's feet wet and have a semi serious challenger to Hillary so she could get somewhat tested like what Bernie all well to well provided in 2016.
When Obama started taking off the Dems decided better and easier to play race card rather than gender card plus Obama more likeable than Hillary. Hillary accepted Secretary of State with foreknowledge that she had carte blanche and thus Uranium ONe CGI and private server.
In Alabama primary dems voted for Moore since he was easiest to pick off in general more to do with his grandstanding and holier than thou than his actual positions. Coming in on a horse come on.
Republicans have to have closed primaries or Trump and GOPe have to agree on candidate beforehand and truly vet and Trump should hold upper hand in negotiating on candidates since the Virginia election and Romney loss in 2012 shows that the base and independents will not come out to vote for Dem lites.
Posted by: simply stupid | December 14, 2017 at 01:17 AM
The UK Parliament gave itself veto power over the Brexit deal. PM Mays had promised them a voice, but didn't lay out what that would be.
In effect it ties the PMs hands in dealing with the EU. She can cut any deal she wants, but Parliament can veto it if they don't like it.
Now she has to cut a deal that she can get past Parliament. It is, if you will, a vote of non-confidence from the MPs, based on what they have heard so far.

I have found no evidence of this, have you?

I saw and read an article "10 Things Every Intersectional Feminist Should Ask On a First Date"
Was repulsed by it. As the following asks “Why the hell would anyone ever date an intersectional feminist?”
https://townhall.com/columnists/kurtschlichter/2017/12/14/10-things-every-real-conservative-should-ask-on-a-first-date-n2421420
Nice comeback from Kurt Schlichter.

Local News at 10 PM just said this:
Reporter: Alaska is shattering records this year. Today The Alaska Earthquake Center announced that the State surpassed the previous record in 2014 for the most Earthquakes in a single year. The 2014 record was 40,600 Earthquakes in Alaska. Today the Alaska Earthquake Center said we surpassed that record with 40,733 Earthquakes and with 18 more days to go in the year. Alaska is home to 11% of the Worlds Earthquakes with an average of 1,000 shakers every month.
Clicking on the link I see we are already up to 40,914 in the last few hours since the TV broadcast,

Apparently everything's shaking up here today, Jim.
First we had our Cleveland Volcano send up a 20,000 foot plume earlier today,
and now on Perry Mason this very instant here's tonight's femme fatale: .
Whole lotta' shaking going on.
Bonus points for anyone who can place where they've seen shaker number 2 before.

Lose net neutrality - result
Twitter: $14.99/month
Snapchat: $9.99/month
Youtube: $19.99/month
Netflix: $9.99/per movie
Google: $1.99/per search
https://twitchy.com/brettt-3136/2017/12/13/two-dollars-for-a-google-search-without-netneutrality-these-people-arent-buying-it/
This is just so stupid. But, looking at the numbers, even if it should come to pass, what's bad about this? I mean, other than the fact that I now have free internet access paid for by the above?

Another great venue for music in my area was John Scher's Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ. Built as a vaudeville theater, it later became a movie house, and, sadly, a XXX film emporium before John Scher resurrected it as a prime Northern New Jersy concert hall. The acoustics were very good.

Saw lots of shows. Highlight was Edgar Winter doing an extended 20 minute long version of "Frankenstein." Heard the first few notes and knew what was coming. Utterly rapt that it went on seemingly forever.

btw, I appreciate daddy and others for posting images if only because you can zoom through the comment stream more easily to zero in on "Last Comment Read So Far"
Oddly, TypePad does not consider just an image to be sufficient. There has to be at least one other character in your comment. If you look closely, you'll see a dot below daddy's image. His unobtrusive required character.
