Here is a headline from Germany that may surprise no one:
Study: Influx of young male migrants fueled rise in violence
BERLIN (AP) — A study funded by the German government has found that the recent influx of mostly young, male migrants has led to an increase in violent crime.
The study by criminologist Christian Pfeiffer uses figures from the northern state of Lower Saxony to examine the impact of refugee arrivals on crime in 2015 and 2016.
Published Wednesday, the study attributes a 10.4 percent rise in violent crimes in the state during those two years almost exclusively to refugees.
It notes that young, mostly male refugees traveling alone are more likely to commit crimes if they feel they have no hope about their future, and that most come from Muslim countries "characterized by male dominance.
On the other hand, it is possible that the author of the study was surprised. Here he is from Spiegel Online roughly two years ago:
Part 3: Are Refugees More Violent?
Christian Pfeifer, 71, is a criminologist.
Is crime in Germany on the rise, Mr. Pfeiffer?
For months, fear has been spreading that the crime rate in Germany may soon rise. People feel like their security is under threat due to the many foreigners arriving en masse. What the far-right regards as an absolute truth, Christian Pfeiffer, former director of the Criminological Research Institute of Lower Saxony, calls "propaganda." He cites data from Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) gathered between January and September last year. It shows that while the absolute number of crimes has risen, the crime rate grew much slower in relation to the high number of immigrants.
Back in the 1990s, when civil war in Yugoslavia drove hundreds of thousands of refugees to Germany, Pfeiffer examined the effect that an influx of mostly Muslim immigrants had on the crime rate. What he discovered was that immigrants tend to commit fewer crimes than the rest of the population. "Those who had a chance of being granted asylum did everything to avoid putting their status in jeopardy. This, in turn, led to greater obedience to our laws," Pfeiffer says.
The criminologist expects similar restraint from today's Syrian refugees, who unlike the North African suspects in Cologne on New Year's Eve, have a legitimate chance of remaining in Germany for the long term. The biggest difference between the Syrians and the Yugoslav refugees, he says, is that back in the 1990s, people took their whole family with them when they fled. The refugees from Syria include at least 400,000 young, single men -- a demographic with the highest propensity for crime in any country or society.
"Whether we will continue to live safely in the future depends on how we teach our rules to these often angry and frustrated youths, who come from very macho cultures. They need to learn that women are not to be preyed upon, you don't hit children and you don't respond to being disrespected with violence," Pfeiffer says.
Well, OK - maybe he wasn't surprised since the socialization he hoped for seems not to have taken place.
This summary of the report makes it clear that, well, basically the criminal immigrants are victims of circumstance and an unwelcoming German response:
Criminologists are calling for better prevention measures to deal with violence committed by refugees, following the release of a study shared with the German Press Agency (DPA) and the Süddeutsche Zeitung, among others. The study recommends refugees have access to language courses, sports, internships and more exposure to women.
I guess since keeping them out is not an option then more and more generous government programs will be the favored progressive response.

On the previous thread TC predicted no charges etc for any Clinton-Obama kings and princes, rather just a warning shot in return for a temporary truce.
TC is often right about such things.
The problem is that half the country is now aware and becoming more so of just how downright crooked, illegal, profitable, unconstitutional, traitorous, and coordinated were so so many activities of the government under Clinton and Obama, and those people will never accept that we are a nation of laws if all those bad guys skate and keep all the loot they stole. And once good people accept that, it is hard to see why they should, say, fork over 60% of their income to the State and follow other laws they find inconvenient. In addition, they will fully appreciate that Congress is a fricken joke in its Oversight Duties, the Courts are a joke when the CJ can rewrite a bad law to make it Okey Doke, and when even the POTUS cannot get truth and justice out of his own DoJ and Intel communities.
Again, TC might well be right, but we will rue the day when these crimes were revealed but allowed to go unpunished.

Seeing a lot of people on Twitter, The Donald subreddit saying this is all fake news however Trump made an official statement on the matter so there must be some substance to Bannon attacking Trump.

Huma Abedin forwarded a trove of sensitive emails to her personal Yahoo account, including passwords to government systems - before every single Yahoo account was affected by a massive hack conducted by a Russian security expert employed by the same Moscow bank former President Bill Clinton gave a $500,000 speech to in 2010, according to Luke Rosiak of the Daily Caller.
Why in the hell would anyone with a brain forward passwords over the Internet?
What with Podesta using the password "Password" and Huma doing this, I am again amazed at the unserious dumbassery of our Dem elites.
When I think back through it all, I wonder if there was some particular point in time, some event, when the Lefties in the cabal popped the champaign corks at their collective awareness that there was no way Hillary would ever lose the Election, and since they would rule us forever they could do whatever they wanted without any legal consequences from that time on? If so, what would that point, that event, have been?

That's a huge danger, and clearly one that our so-called "elite" doesn't begin to appreciate.
Once the majority of the populace loses that basic idea of trust, the society is screwed. And so, sooner or later, are the leaders who lost that trust. Sometimes those leaders even meet their ends hanging from lampposts, or in front of a firing squad on Christmas morning.

Since 1990 "Disaffected Muslim Yute's" in France have been setting fire to hundreds and hundreds of Citroen's every New Years Eve. Why am I not surprised that next door neighbor Germany would be stupid enough to think that bringing in a million "Disaffected Muslim Yute's" would produce any different results in their country?

There is also a statement from the Forst Lady, as the book says Trump didn't want to win and was going to use his candidacy as a launching point for a media empire, and that the First Lady was heartbroken and crying that he won. (I just saw an excerpt in New York magazine but didn't read the whole thing, as it was such a hit piece that it disgusted me.)
The First Lady denied being sad and said, in fact, she encouraged him to run because she thought he would win.

Trump's presidency so far has adopted the stage magician's tactic to trick the audience. His tweets and comments keep people focused on what he is doing with one hand while the real work is getting done behind the scenes with the other hand.
The Bannon kerfuffle makes zero sense unless this is a designed and intended distraction to keep the media and Trump haters fixated on Bannon's comments while something big is going on behind the scenes.

From Narciso's 12:58 Social Justice rape victim moron in Germany:
...she was assaulted and raped in January by three men of foreign origin, who spoke Arabic as well as Kurdish or Farsi...
...she went straight to police but instead of filing a complaint about a sex attack, she only reported being robbed. She also lied about the ethnicity of her attackers, claiming that she was robbed by a “mixed group of Germans and foreigners alike, who spoke German to each other.”
About 12 hours later, her friend persuaded her to go to police and tell the officers the real story by saying that her attackers could also assault other people and adding that another woman had been sexually assaulted in the neighborhood shortly beforehand.
I'm surprised they haven't charged her friend yet with a Hate Crime.

From press secretary Sarah Sanders:
_Statement from the President of the United States_
Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind.Steve was a staffer who worked for me after I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party.
Now that he is on his own, Steve is learning that winning isnt as easy as I make it look. Steve had very little to do with our historic victory, which was delivered by the forgotten men and women of this country. Yet Steve had everything to do with the loss of a Senate seat in Alabama held for more than thirty years by Republicans. Steve doesnt represent my basehes only in it for himself.
Steve pretends to be at war with the media, which he calls the opposition party, yet he spent his time at the White House leaking false information to the media to make himself seem far more important than he was. It is the only thing he does well. Steve was rarely in a one-on-one meeting with me and only pretends to have had influence to fool a few people with no access and no clue, whom he helped write phony books.
We have many great Republican members of Congress and candidates who are very supportive of the Make America Great Again agenda. Like me, they love the United States of America and are helping to finally take our country back and build it up, rather than simply seeking to burn it all down.

"I fear that the next shoe to drop is going to be an attack on the most vulnerable in our society," Lew said in a Bloomberg interview. "How are we going to pay for the deficit caused by the tax cut? Apologies to Wolff, it appears Steve Bannon has sought his revenge for being fired. Trump will survive without Kushner and Jr if it comes to that but Bitter Bannon has no where to go. Where does he go now, the left, NeverTrumpers, President Trump's base? He's toast and on my list!

Bill Clinton sought 'solace' in Monica Lewinsky
If Bill had shot his semen into a different Monica orifice their love child would be 23 years old today.

I guess that book launch party the White House was planning for Steve Bannon is off?

Well, Rocco, we know who Bannon pissed off. Don, Jr.
He saw himself as a "kingmaker" but when you make a king you also have to respect the full royal family.
Remember the guy, ex-head of Georgia-Pacific, who was W's treasury or commerce secy who wrote a tell all that was supposed to bring down the POTUS but got him re-elected instead.

Woulldn't it be something if the Clintons got arrested for arson?
Posted by: Miss Marple the Deplorable | January 03, 2018 at 03:22 PM
It seems like everyone mentioned in Bannon's book (that has come out) is saying Bannon lied. Even Jack Fowler (publisher of that dreaded mag here) says he lied about him.
So what is Bannon's motive? Is it to get the press in a frenzy? If he is lying about everybody it's a lot bigger than Trump.

Someone needs to sit Cuomo down and explain that ending a system that discriminated in favor of high-tax states does not amount to discrimination against them. That's like saying ending Jim Crow discriminated against whites.
