This is not how Twitter works at all, and the Christmas spirit is totally two weeks ago, but props to Sarah Silverman and her followers. Geez, an outbreak of actual kindness in 2018 - is it possible? Maybe Peak Surprise is still ahead.

Here is what Axios said they received in a statement from Bannon:
•Donald Trump, Jr. is both a patriot and a good man. He has been relentless in his advocacy for his father and the agenda that has helped turn our country around."
•"My support is also unwavering for the president and his agenda — as I have shown daily in my national radio broadcasts, on the pages of Breitbart News and in speeches and appearances from Tokyo and Hong Kong to Arizona and Alabama."
•"President Trump was the only candidate that could have taken on and defeated the Clinton apparatus. I am the only person to date to conduct a global effort to preach the message of Trump and Trumpism; and remain ready to stand in the breech for this president's efforts to make America great again."
•"My comments about the meeting with Russian nationals came from my life experiences as a Naval officer stationed aboard a destroyer whose main mission was to hunt Soviet submarines to my time at the Pentagon during the Reagan years when our focus was the defeat of 'the evil empire' and to making films about Reagan's war against the Soviets and Hillary Clinton's involvement in selling uranium to them."
•"My comments were aimed at Paul Manafort, a seasoned campaign professional with experience and knowledge of how the Russians operate. He should have known they are duplicitous, cunning and not our friends. To reiterate, those comments were not aimed at Don Jr."
•"Everything I have to say about the ridiculous nature of the Russian 'collusion' investigation I said on my 60 Minutes interview. There was no collusion and the investigation is a witch hunt."
•"I regret that my delay in responding to the inaccurate reporting regarding Don Jr has diverted attention from the president's historical accomplishments in the first year of his presidency."

I just watched the Stephen Miller interview with Tapper. I have to reluctantly disagree with Miss M. I thought Miller came off terribly. Instead of answering Tapper's questions, which should have been easy to knock out of the park, he just launched into prepared talking points, and was obnoxious about it too.
I'm not saying Tapper isn't a first-class a**hole, but Miller did little to undermine Tapper. Obnoxiousness is fine if you are dismantling the other person's arguments, but otherwise it looks like you are just stonewalling.

Sad
Why are you carrying such a torch for him? If his actions require massive explanations after the initial shock wears off, they probably weren't very well thought out. Todd Akin appeared on a show that ambushed him because he was campaigning for office and being on those shows is what he's supposed to do. I wasn't one of the people who got the vapors for what Akin said. In fact I'm one of the people who criticized Romney for not telling reporters to stop bugging him to react to it.
Posted by: Captain Hate | January 07, 2018 at 03:49 PM
I'm not carrying a torch for Bannon. Not one bit.
I have a beef with not getting facts/info straight before passing it along.
Sure the fake tweeter got a tiny fraction correct in his misquote of Bannon's statement, but that isn't a justification for sending people to a site that paints Bannon as a racist.
That kind of carelessness creates Akin and Moore type of election results.
Sebastian Gorka said that he wishes that Bannon would tell his side of the story.
Is that enough to hate on Gorka?

While lying in bed last night I was thinking about this old Jerry Van Dyke TV Show, where his dead mother returns as a jalopy, and an image of a dead mother returning as this popped into my head:

That huge bottle is called a Carboy
A carboy (or carbouy), demijohn, or jimmyjohn is a rigid container with a typical capacity of 20 to 60 litres (5 to 16 US gal).[1][2] Carboys are primarily used for transporting liquids, often water or chemicals.[3]
They are also used for in-home fermentation of beverages, often beer or wine.
What with this JOM crowd, I naturally started thinking of a TV Show titled "My Mother The Carboy." Just think of the episodes we could come up with what with all the wry and witty expertise fermentation tasting experts we have haunting this Blog---Captain Hate, Lyle, DaveinMa, Frau and her German Kolsch's, Beast's lakeside Pub, DrJ's Winery, JimmyK, and if I may be so bold, myself:)
Momma Carboy: "A growing boy like you Jerry ought to start the day off with a nice Oatmeal stout, like I've made for you this morning."
Jerry: Bless you Momma, bless you!

How come SNL doesn't think outside of the box anymore?

I have always been against the multi dimensional chess theory, CH.

That is what I hoped for as well.
Bannon's response has sucked.

This is what going full retard looks like:
The guy who is hosting the Golden Globes, who apparently has some very late night talk show but I've never heard of, says he's going all political in the hosting duties.
I hope he does. I hope they go nuts lecturing everyone how to live and behave and how terrible we all are. I hope they double down on the preaching and self-righteousness.
Because people will hate it, and them, even more for it.
Anyone sane in Hollywood would spend 2018 keeping their trap absolutely shut after the revelations of last year.

Just tried to register on the mental health experts site, since I work with NIMH, SAMHSA etc and have become pretty well regarded on the West Coast in systems of care and innovation. I doubt they will let me in simply because of my address.
You have to be an Ivy league numb brain to join these organizations of concerned idiots. Whether it's protesting the Bomb or the Rosenbergs or the upcoming indictments of Bill & Hillary, there are certain criteria for membership, such as a complete lack of insight (anosognosia in psychiatrist talk) or objectivity. They get stewed on sherry and experimental drugs from research labs and their brains just go kablooey (yes, that is a technical term).
Is anyone on the Golden Anal Probes wearing a pussy hat? Were there any #meetoo tats(you know they can't spell, much less read cursive)? One year later they are still meltin down over the same lame BS that was being spouted by the same group of clueless power whores a year ago.
I think we need to organize a very special day for January 20. Either MAGA day or F You Day works for me. Hahahahaha Day also works.
We need to drink from their skulls and hear the lamentations of their wimmen preferably while bitterly clinging to our guns and Bibles, and beers or cocktails of our choice.
Record a loop for distribution on their Facebook pages of kittens wearing MAGA hats.
That would put a world of trigger warnings on they asses.
