One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week. The florist was pleased and left the shop.
When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.
Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop.
The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen doughnuts waiting for him at his door.
Then a Member of Congress came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Member of Congress was very happy and left the shop.
The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Members of Congress lined up waiting for a free hair cut
And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.
Wow. 2:38pm EST, Apple "News" just sent a notification to my iPhone about "record numbers" of female candidates running for office for the first time in 2018. Previous notification was at 12:22am Saturday about the shutdown.
TK, its only a 3 week bill (ie, through Feb 8). That lets Flake and Gramnesty pass some bs DACA "compromise" that Chuckie will wave as "bipartisan" in Trump's face during the next shutdown.

You can buy 30+ foot ladders at Lowes or Home Depot. Since the highest prototype built was only 30 feet, you would think at least one of the tests would include a 30+ feet long ladder.
Many liberals quickly went on Twitter to voice their outrage with Democratic lawmakers for agreeing to a deal, writing that they "caved" by not securing protections for DACA recipients. They also denounced Democrats for trusting Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.).
The Progressive Change Campaign Committee, a political action committee that focuses on electing "bold progressives" from the "Elizabeth Warren wing of the Democratic Party" to office, blasted Schumer and Senate Democrats for striking a deal with the GOP.

Also, unlike the democrats, I do not believe Stephen Miller is controlling this at all. The President has had the same position all along.

Nurses, Doctors, medical folks. I believe I have the flu, but something has been odd. I have the usual aches and pains, and chills, I am sore in all the places I've had joint or bone injuries.
2 and a half years ago, I fell while hiking on the WI-MI border, where I go. I hurt my left shin on some granite, and was sore and a little bloody, and swollen, but it healed. During this flu, it is sore, enflamed and red, and I wonder why that might be. Probably a nerve issue, but I've never heard of this kind of symptom to the flu.
Help!!!!!
Yippee, Momto2! Best news in ages, bar none. Speaking for myself, I think us hearing that prognosis makes us happier than you hearing that prognosis:) whew.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg has claimed a #METOO moment. Of course I do not believe it, however, it was suppposed to be by a blind instructor in an animal husbandry class, so anything is possible.
Apparently, Ginsburg FORGOT to tell anyone about this for the last 80 years.
GUS: get a blood panel done stat. A friend of my son up in Minneapolis was in Las Vegas when the flu hit him at Christmas.
This flu decimates the immune system as any virus will *attempt* to do.
But, my son's friend got this flu and after 3 days developed abcesses on his legs and groin. After 6 days he had abcesses on *PALMS OF HIS HANDS*.
It turned out to be a super bug staph infection.
He didn't verify it with a trip to the doctor until six days passed and he was consumed with fever. His odds of survival now are 60-40 as he is on anti-biotic infusion to fight the infection.
Big strong basketball player. Felled by flu and sacked by the dormant barbarians in his vital organs.
Get the blood work done. Something is going on, brother GUS.
Do not be a fool and whistle passed the graveyard. Think of your son and his Mother.
Peace be with you, my Brotha from a different Motha.
"Apparently, Ginsburg FORGOT to tell anyone about this for the last 80 years."
Ruth Bader JINZburg is the proper pronunciation. She is not of sound mind. Her body is shot. That doily she wears with her tyrant's robe weighs more than she does. Needs a vitamin B shot and a massive infusion of protein. She's a damned sugar junkie and her brain is compromised.
The Blind Lecher's estate should sue her for defamation.

GUS - worried about you! Please get to the doctor asap! I just read an account from a nurse that thought she could fight the flu at home and ended up with life-threatening sepsis. (She survived but warned others to take it seriously!)
I've noticed that if i consume fewer than 8 pints of water daily I cannot fall asleep at a normal hour and wake repeatedly once asleep.
Yesterday was such a day, inadvertently of course. So I couldn't sleep.
All this to say, I found a great series on Netflix--- "Bloodlines". Stars that guy who played Coach on Friday night lights, Sissy Spacek, and Sam Shepard.

Debbie says Dems gave away leverage as does the radical base.
Nancy, too, if ZeroHedge is accurate:
"... Nancy Pelosi has spoken out against the deal, saying there was no reason to support it: “I don’t see that there’s any reason – I’m speaking personally and hearing from my members – to support what was put forth,” Pelosi said at a press briefing shortly before Schumer signaled Senate Democrats would agree to it."
Good to see that rare event, dissension in the Dem ranks.
Thanks to all of you, for your kindness and concern. I'm heading to the Doc. I'm not too sick to drive, I'm functioning well.
Kev..... I made up the BLIND and ANIMAL HUSBANDRY stuff, Ruth Hubba Hubba Jinsburg would take 2 bags and a bottle of CUERVO, even back then.
You know what the 2 bags are for.
The state of Alaska has united behind the King Cove community in its fight for the road to Cold Bay. At one point, Alaska’s legislature offered 40,000 acres of state land in exchange for the 500 acres of federal land needed to build the road. That offer was denied.
Zinke struck a new deal, adding one acre to the federal estate in exchange for the 500 acres running through Izembek.
If I understand that correctly, the Obama era Eco-Lefties just talked themselves out of 39,999 acres.
From WEB-MD:
"Trust Your Gut
One of your most powerful tools is your own observation. Most of us have a sense for when a situation is dangerous. If your instinct or intuition tells you it’s serious, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. It’s always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to your health."
Gus, a 911 call would let you explain your situation to someone trained to know if you need help now or can afford to see how things develop.
Please understand my intent here--- it is to share news re a start-up project of mine with you, my conservative friends (base as it were :> ) not to give some kind of backhanded pitch.
A new partner and I have embarked on a self-financing venture we are calling "The American Cash Union."
We are pro-capitalist, but anti-debt. We are both debt free. And for the foreseeable future we want to protect ourselves from a growingly rapacious and tyrannical state.
The program re-brands an existing system, work at home for cash, that has been around since 2001 to great affect in the lives of 35,000 Americans and counting.
We believe that there is a patriotic layer of citizens who are averse to participating any further in the debt-based economy but who would rather pay cash for everything.
Our system comes complete with IRS workarounds and all income is tax free. If I could get Ivanka Trump's attention this thing would ignite overnight. But I'm not going to spend money trying to get her attentions.
The premise is that many Americans are debt slaves to the global banking cartel. The National Debt sooner or later will devour the real wealth of many unsuspecting citizens.
The American Cash Union is a way to end debt slavery. We both wanted to participate in the MAGA fight; but, we didn't want to get sucked into local organizing frays.
So we are going national with direct mail, e-mail, and other online campaigning.
We are participating in a system of cash generation that anybody can do for as little as $500.
And they can make real cash money tax-free by operating their own system, or allow us to foster that system for them.
We are operating on a cash basis for everything. We buy nothing on unsecured credit (so we do not have to carry wads). I've been in it since May 2017 and it is nothing short of phenomenal. I see its potential to serve a greater political good and help save the country from itself and its appetites.
A DEBT REVOLUTION will have impact.
We are targeting 20,000 Americans as the critical mass needed for it to go viral.
It could become an independent solution to student loan problems where citizens do not have to turn to finance companies to broker deals for a fee in pursuit of "debt forgiveness or reduction" a form of defrauding taxpayers.
Requires a brain and an understanding of how money works.
We're confident. And I feel like have the strength of a bear today. :)
GUS is trusting his gut.
If he can sit around and post here for over an hour, including creating RBG jokes, I'm pretty sure he can drive himself to the doctor.
A 911 call when it's not needed can put someone else's life in danger by tying them up. Those operators don't diagnose over the phone, and have to dispatch when called unless it's for the wrong order at McDonalds.
They are high school graduates who can distinguish between "police, fire or medic," and are skilled at calming panicked people down, and relaying basic CPR instructions. No medical background needed.
Momto2:
Wonderful news!
You have made my day!Full confession,
I was very worried after such a severe injury to your neck.
JIB:
Good luck with the ablation.
Prayers are offered for you for help with the neuropathy.
So much for "When to call 911" advice online, clara. We've only called 911 once - when lightning struck a tree in the middle of the night and started a fire in the attic. The "BOOM!!" woke us up and hubs went to investigate and saw smoke filtering down. A whole platoon of fire folks piled in while we shivered on the porch, bedraggled and freaked out. First feedback from them was "The media has been called", which only made a bad situation worse.
DebinGA, I was talking about medical emergencies and calling 911. I have no idea whom I would call for a burning tree. Hope it worked out for you and your husband.
I'm seeing some leftwing sources trying to promote the narrative that Trump and GEN Kelly are at major odds with one another.
I take that as another sign that Trump is totally destroying the Democrats and that they are desperate enough to say anything to put Trump on the defensive.
We shut down the government for half a business day for you 'Dreamers'

JiB: Godspeed, Brother. I have heard that the procedure is effective for some.
What I've done for the neuropathic feet has been two longer term strategies.
1. Chelation therapy using proteolytic enzymes to clear vascular channels.
2. Supplementation including daily (taken at night) r-lipoic acid.
The feeling of walking on numb bloody stumps is gone. The feeling in the balls of my feet has returned with toes just beginning to wake up.
I wish you all of the best.

GUS,
I don't mean to alarm you but your system could be starting to break down and the site of the injury shows the damage first.
This is a bad flu, so go to the doc or an emergency center, pronto. You don't want to mess around.

Momto2: God Bless You! What an inspiring recovery!
So many times we've been told the "once this happens there's no coming back from it; now take this pharma" line.
YOU WIN!
You're one of my favorites here.

RUTH rhymes with UN-TRUTH.

Ginsburg had to throw in the blind part to make it plausible otherwise no one would believe that a male actually made a sexual advance towards her.

She epitomizes the C word to me.

Time to get them into the brig, do thorough background checks, i.d. their family "chains", and do not release them until these administrative actions have been taken.
Protest by protest build the rolodex. Find out who these lying assholes are and get ready to round them up.
Properly interpret the 14th amendment and clean house. Pull the rug out from under La Raza.

So Mr Potato Head Shoomer says there is a way forward to pass a bi-partisan bill for the Reamers, eh?
He so confident. But he so stoopud.
The House shows no sign nor has it made any signals that it will entertain any such bill any time soon.
And now Ugly Debbie "AWAN MOMMY" Washerwoman Schlitz is bawling that the foppish Dems have "given away our leverage."
Why isn't that nematode in jail yet or at least been dragged through a grand jury proceedings yet?

I've noticed that if i consume fewer than 8 pints of water daily I cannot fall asleep at a normal hour and wake repeatedly once asleep.
Yesterday was such a day, inadvertently of course. So I couldn't sleep.
All this to say, I found a great series on Netflix--- "Bloodlines". Stars that guy who played Coach on Friday night lights, Sissy Spacek, and Sam Shepard.
Dark, family murder in the Florida Keys. Very entertaining.
I'm on pint # 6 at 209 pm PST. I hate not being able to go to bed at 10pm.

Wonderful, Miss M!
MAGA,

Those 911 people know practically nothing
So much for "When to call 911" advice online, clara. We've only called 911 once - when lightning struck a tree in the middle of the night and started a fire in the attic. The "BOOM!!" woke us up and hubs went to investigate and saw smoke filtering down. A whole platoon of fire folks piled in while we shivered on the porch, bedraggled and freaked out. First feedback from them was "The media has been called", which only made a bad situation worse.
Posted by: DebinGA | January 22, 2018 at 05:42 PM
DebinGA, I was talking about medical emergencies and calling 911. I have no idea whom I would call for a burning tree. Hope it worked out for you and your husband.

I'm seeing some leftwing sources trying to promote the narrative that Trump and GEN Kelly are at major odds with one another.
