Vanessa Trump taken to hospital as precaution after white powder sent to her home

President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law was taken to a Manhattan hospital as a precaution on Monday after a suspicious letter containing an unidentified white powder was sent to her apartment, senior law enforcement and city officials told NBC News.

The letter was addressed to Vanessa Trump's husband, Donald Trump Jr., the eldest child of the president and his ex-wife Ivana.

After the letter was opened, three people at the residence were taken to New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center strictly as a precaution, the New York City Fire Department said.

There is no indication anyone suffered any injuries; the NYPD said the substance was deemed to be non-hazardous and was taken to a lab for further analysis.

"How disturbed must a person be to do what they did to a mother of five children?'' Michael Cohen, President Trump's personal attorney, said in a statement. "This dangerous and reckless act goes beyond political differences."

Well, it ought to go beyond political differences. We'll see.

For someone who clearly followed all of the back and forth over the DOJ OIG's frustration with the Obama Administration and his subsequent statutory victory gaining additional powers, it isn't conceivable that she ignored that January 12th announcement . . . is it?

And, Flynn had to have extensive interaction with her during the transition . . . correct?

Maybe by January 20th she either recognized the jig was up (or was convinced of same by someone like Flynn) and then determined it was time to get right with God, and her country. Thus, you decide (or are convinced) to memorialize that eMail to yourself. After all, there's now no one from the Obama Administration to be hanging around you and asking awkward questions.

I don't know what to think about that email Rice sent. Wictor has thought for a long time that she has switched. On the other hand, she has been involved in some of the worst things Obama did.

On this one, I am simply going to watch and see what happens.

I have seen nothing yet to disabuse me of the notion that they set out to frame Trump thinking Hillary was a shoe-in, and then had to hustle to make up a reason for all of their spying and fake documents.

However, I am not locked into that either, and if things turn out differently, I am not going to go all nutso trying to prove I was right. (That's the avenue the Never Trumpers have taken.)

I will simply wait and try to be patient.

I am still upset by the terror attack (and that is what it was) on Don Jr.'s family.

This entire family should have our gratitude and our prayers. They all assumed this burden.

I can think of no other family who would have done this. The Bush's? No, they wouldn't have received this level of attack because 1. Jeb would have lost and 2. If he had won, he wouldn't have been a threat to anyone on the other side.
