Is it possible that we actually have a Russian agent running the House Intel Committee on the Republican side?"

From the Tom R link
"Comey understood Trump’s people as having neither knowledge of nor respect for the independence of the law enforcement function. And he saw it as an ongoing task on his part to protect the rest of the Bureau from improper contacts and interferences from a group of people he did not regard as honorable. This was a general preoccupation of Comey’s in the months he and Trump overlapped—and the difference between this relationship and his regard for Obama (which was deep) was profound and palpable."
Good grief

I don't TV except sports, and those sparingly, and so I suffer less. Saw President Trump's address to the GOP caucus at Greenbrier--he did a very good job, with the goal obviously of trying to get them to be more nimble in support of things they all putatively want. The camera was only on him, so we couldn't see how the Flakes of the world reacted. Probably a bit better than the CBC congresswoman caught playing a candy-crush like game on her phone during the SOTU. I don't think it was actually Candy Crush, says a user up to level 1466 who finds this like suduko and crossword puzzles soothing from the vicissitudes of thought and modern tangles.

Doing catch-up from the campus of Caltech. It reminds me of Guangzhou.
Caught Rush on the headsets while semi-awake detailing as only Rush can do the framtic and hysterical Left and their allies in the FBI and the DOJ trying like hell to prevent the release.
Have not caught up and don't trust any of the top of the hour radio news reports on AM radio, but am led to understand that the current scheme is Trump will have the original 4 Page Memo released tomorrow, not the one with the grammatical corrections, nor the Wray one demanding all names redacted. Good. If that is not what is produced tomorrow morning I will be hugely pissed.
Am moving the daughter from an apartment with an overflowing toilet. Have been on hands and knees plunging the porcelain with Rush on the headset hollering at CNN. 80+ degrees and eucalyptus style trees abounding. Good morning.
As for Campus, at an putdoor cafe sipping an Americano and a mini-Snickers bar for breakfast. Haven't seen a single tattoo or nose ring on the premises, no grafitti, and only 1 skateboard. No baseball hats on backwards and no pants worn slung low beneath the butt cheeks. The amount of construction of new labs and science type buildings here is amazing. This place is obviously rolling in dough!

I cannot think of a single high level FBI case that I am aware of where 302 Abuse has not been part of the mix. There may be some, but in Stevens, Bundy, Hillary, Libby, this, either the 302's are kept from the defendent and the Court if they help exonerate him, never even taken if they want to exonerate the target (Hillary), or changed and/or pencil whipped long after the interviews in order to generate false evidence to help win a conviction. They are illigitimate Law tools on their face.

Ok, here's the rule, on page 15 at this link:
http://clerk.house.gov/legislative/house-rules.pdf
(g)(1) The select committee may disclose
publicly any information in its
possession after a determination by the
select committee that the public interest
would be served by such disclosure.
With respect to the disclosure of information
for which this paragraph requires
action by the select committee—
(A) the select committee shall
meet to vote on the matter within
five days after a member of the select
committee requests a vote; and
(B) a member of the select committee
may not make such a disclosure
before a vote by the select committee
on the matter, or after a vote
by the select committee on the matter
except in accordance with this
paragraph.
(2)(A) In a case in which the select
committee votes to disclose publicly
any information that has been classified
under established security procedures,
that has been submitted to it by
the executive branch, and that the executive
branch requests be kept secret,
the select committee shall notify the
President of such vote.
(B) The select committee may disclose
publicly such information after
the expiration of a five-day period following
the day on which notice of the
vote to disclose is transmitted to the
President unless, before the expiration
of the five-day period, the President,
personally in writing, notifies the select
committee that the President objects
to the disclosure of such information,
provides reasons therefor, and
certifies that the threat to the national
interest of the United States
posed by the disclosure is of such gravity
that it outweighs any public interest
in the disclosure.
(C) If the President, personally in
writing, notifies the select committee
of objections to the disclosure of information
as provided in subdivision (B),
the select committee may, by majority
vote, refer the question of the disclosure
of such information, with a recommendation
thereon, to the House.
The select committee may not publicly
disclose such information without
leave of the House.
---
This seems to imply that the "executive branch" objected and also to say that they can't release before the 5-day period expires, even if the president supports the release.
Anyone read that differently?
They voted on Monday, right? What time? And as Henry asked, is that 5 calendar days? If so, then don't they have to wait until Saturday?

If the whole Mueller investigation was a counter-intel honeypot to find corruption in the FBI, does the EO give them powerful tools to threaten the exposed with financial ruin? Another reason to #ReleaseTheMemo: A lot of just really bad, inaccurate info being disseminated in meantime. (1) This isn't the "Nunes memo". He didn't draft it & it's not his memo. (2) This is strictly about FISA abuse & misconduct. (3) Its content is actually 100% non-partisan
(4) Changes made to memo were very minor, including changes requested by FBI & House minority. (5) This isn't an attack on the institutions. The end result will be better institutions. (6) No good sources & methods will be revealed. It will reveal bad ones though.

That is a heck if a big assumption. Mueller should have tossed this out and exonerated Trump 6 months ago. Just allowing this process to go on for so long is serious punishment all in itself and grossly unfair to President Trump and the country.

"House Judiciary Dem calls for emergency FBI, DOJ meeting over Nunes memo
By John Bowden - 02/01/18 06:40 PM EST
Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee are calling for an immediate meeting with officials from the FBI and Department of Justice over the claims made in the memo drafted by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.).
The letter, spearheaded by ranking member Rep. Jerrod Nadler (D-N.Y.), is directed to committee chairman Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.). In it, Nadler asks Goodlatte to arrange a meeting with FBI Director Christopher Wray and other representatives from the Justice Department to examine the "talking points" that he says Republicans are using to "discredit the work of the FBI and Special Counsel Robert Mueller."
"It is imperative that we hear directly from these officials about the security and law enforcement implications of making this information public," Nadler wrote.
"It is also important that we hear about any inaccuracies or key omissions from the Nunes document," he added.
I've requested that @HouseJudiciary immediately call FBI Director Wray and other DOJ representatives to appear on an emergency basis before the Committee and brief us about their concerns regarding the #NunesMemo. https://t.co/bwABWiNah9 pic.twitter.com/gzEpvQKcwy

The thing with Wictor is that he has been saying for several months now that GEN Flynn has engineered one of the greatest intel sting operations of all time. This requires you to also believe this is all part of Trump’s 4D chess theory. There is obviously a lot of wishful thinking involved but this recent thread by Sundance reinforces the notion. GEN Flynn is a Intel spook and had the knowhow to setup a separate Intel apparatus described in this thread.

If you take into account that Trump likely learned Obama was spying on him back in November 2016, then it’s plausible that his inner circle of generals and admirals developed a long term strategy to defeat the “Deep State” before Trump ever took office.

I'm still catching up, but . . .
* * *
Some perspective. The FISA memo is Act I. The IG report is Act II. This is an opera in five acts, and the fat lady isn't even on the stage yet.

Thank you. I'm still not sure why TK can't see this or why others are so worried.
We have won. Their goose is cooked. The script is written, and there isn't a damn thing they can do about it.
And you can bet your bottom dollar on this fact: multiple high level people *are* going to prison.
I don't think anyone engaged my point from days ago: if a cabal tried to orchestrate a scheme that would have placed you in jeopardy of prison, harmed your children, and ruined your business . . . you wouldn't do everything in your power to see that their punk asses went to prison ???
Man, please.
This doesn't even address the constitutional outrages they've committed.
They're going to prison.

What, Davod--How many times Trump used Russian dressing on his salads?

Thank you, mad jack; if that elongated imbecile doesn't end his worthless existence soon I might run out of insults so your input is always welcome.

Don't underestimate 'em RG. They got ways.

I wonder if Comey realizes KGB records recovered after the collapse of the Soviet Union proved McCarthy was 100% correct that the Soviets had successfully infiltrated numerous moles into the highest levels of multiple Federal agencies? I wouldn’t be surprised at all if a lot of the Deep State members today are the progeny of the original Soviet moles. Their actions against Trump definitely remind me of the KGB.

Dan Bongino, the former Secret Service guy, has a webcast or radio show.
A couple guys at BJG are saying this one ties a lot of strings together, but I haven't had time to listen yet.

RG,
I am with you about Trump's intent to prosecute, given the targeting of his children. His mother was a Scot, after all.
Whether he will prevail given deals in the background and advice from advisors, I don't know. But I am damn sure he is thinking about it; the only thing that will stop him is if he thinks it will hurt the country.

"BJG"?

What I cannot see, for the third time, is how the FBI statement is part of the script.
It is a very small part of this Willy Wonka tour. Please don't treat me like the fat kid stuck in the plumbing. I get the rules. I see the greater chess game. I have been a supporter of this type of thinking longer that most everyone here at JOM.

Yes, Tom R, Queasy seems to be completely unaware of the Venona papers, which is strange for such a law and order zealot who steers completely away from politics. Do you think he knows J. Edgar Hoover wasn't really a cross dresser?

My daughter doesn't like Trump because he reminds her of her father (same build and coloring).
I have given up. She won't watch speeches, won't look up stuff about him, etc. Set in her ways and hard-headed.
Hopefully when she gets paid tomorrow (first check in February) she will change her mind. Her company told them they are not giving bonuses because the company did poorly last year. She thinks the bonuses are being given by companies because they are Trump supporters and want to make him look good.
Here I am, rolling my eyes.
