That' the point of staying away from allegations against the "American people" as a whole are not "smart" enough to appreciate the Truth According to The Deplorables.

Look at poor Bobby Jindal: "Trump is one man, not a movement." There's an intelligent man done got himself sucked down the Lying Swine Rabbit hole.

I don't care how many beaners or rag head psychopaths they let into this country, there is an idea that is America which sells a whole lot better to the Silent Majority than the Deep State/Democrat sales job trying to persuade us to accept degradation in the name of Big Government (The Crown?).

We don't *do* that very well. And immigrants who came here by law or under permit KNOW THIS. It's why they left to come here.

We are stronger than casual discussants of these issues *EVER* factor into account.

This is a really good Twitter thread about regulatory reform, how it has been implemented, and how much prpogress they have made. RG called it to my attantion by retweeting itm and the guy who did this has put a lot of effort into locating articles and graphics:

Captain Hate

Anyone whose children know what an abortion is when they're six years old is a lousy parent. Period.

Not exactly surprising that those grifters are horrible parents. Again, look at how people treat their pets to determine their fitness as parents. Slick's chocolate lab, Buddy, named after one of his uncles who looked after him when his mama was whoring around, was hit by a car in Chappaqua; even with a complete Secret Service detail the poor thing was running loose. I've never wanted to put a hollowpoint into that pervert's sick brain more than then. And Felonia Von Pantsuit, after "writing" a book about letters to Socks the cat in a vain attempt to appear like a normal person, had no use for a prop upon leaving the White House and gave the feline to Betty Curry, in whose care it seemed to live a happy life around a sane person.

I just wonder how many times Curb Dive, in one of her lamp throwing alcohol fueled rages, didn't tell The Omen she regretted not aborting her.

1) I've covered politics a long time. I've never--never--seen anything approaching the desperations Ds have to keep this memo quiet. And as we know that worry about law enforcement (Snowden/Manning) is not their biggest worry, this memo must be damning to the core.

2)Have been in journalism all my life. Have never--never--seen the press corps fight so hard against transparency. Same media that after election wondered if it was out of touch with avg Americans, now ignoring the legit worries so many have about govt. accountability.

3) Every journo should be asked if they'd be fighting this hard against disclosure if it was a Bush DOJ/FBI accused of wiretapping abuses. Of course not. They'd be leading the charge to put it all out. 4th estate is supposed to enlighten the people. Not cover for govt. officials

Here is another good thread RG called my attentio to. It discusses the possibility that Eric Schmidt of Google is also implicated. (They are owners of Crowdstrike.)

Old Lurker

I was thinking about the trumped up hysteria regarding the release of information about "sources and methods".

Is there anyone with an IQ of 100 who does not know:

1. The IRS can and will cull everybody's tax returns and turn over the data to the political wing of the WH (Lois Lerner, 1M SchB's given to Eric Holder on 21 CDs).

2. After Richard Cordray and Elizabeth Warren, is there any doubt that the Fed's have links into every bank account of every citizen?

3. Or access to the credit card spending data of everybody?

4. Or access to the great sponge in the sky in which the NSA logs for future use all phone calls and all emails and all texts?

5. Who has a car without an eZ Pass transponder of some kind. Think that data goes away?

6. How many police departments have patrol cars which record and GPS tag every license plate it passes as it roams its beat? Think that data goes away?

7. And then there are all those surveillance cameras and the exponentially improving face rec and retrieval software. Think that data goes away?

I think everybody who has seen a TV show or movie or read the kinds of books I read knows all those "sources and methods".

What is being revealed is how willing politicians are to dig into and use all those resources as they seek to obtain and retain the power to control all of us, and how easy it is to place low and mid level government employees into the ranks to help them.

Good Morning! Stephen King has apologized for a Twitter remark mocking the Republicans involved in the train wreck. What a creep. The Maine media usually reports his snarky tweets with glee. Yesterday's tweet? *crickets*

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Old Lurker,

I agree. What may become eye-openers is the degree with which internet companies, the media, and the democrats are intertwined.

I don't know how many people were aware that Google was a part owner of Crowdstrike, along with Timothy Geithner. Or that Eric Schmidt of Google not only donated to Clinton but was photographed with a STAFF badge on the floor of the convention. (See that thread up above.)

I sure hope this thing gets released today. I don't want to wait until Monday!

My experience with Andy McCabe: No criticizing James Comey allowed | TheHill

I don't know former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. I've never met him. But I was supposed to. I was in an FBI car last June on my way to meet him and other top law enforcement leaders at a counterterrorism communications training event at the 9/11 Museum in New York City when McCabe suddenly ordered me not to show up. The car pulled up outside the museum and I was told not to come inside. I took a taxi back to my hotel and went home.

Old Lurker

I'd be willing to trade its ability to talk for an ability to cook, clean and do laundry.

Another Bob

Great minds OL, was thinking identical thoughts this morning.

The "we can't reveal sources and methods" argument traditionally meant "we need to protect brave people working undercover in dangerous places".

Today it means "we can't have you knowing how much we're using the instruments of the state to rape you".

Old Lurker

MM, your addition of the Google's of our lives to my list is a perfect addition to the list.

I think they are trying to protect Obama. I don’t think the left wing media and dems would be fighting this hard for Hillary. Or the FBI. Or the DOJ.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

I agree.

The only other thing that would explain it is the amount of involvement the press themselves had in this (plantig stories, hiding others, accepting pay-offs, etc.).

Old Lurker

Agree, Sue. For example, didn't we used to think that all FISA requests required the signature of the AG? Why does "Loretta Lynch" get no mention in all these stories (except for the tarmac meeting)?

Jim Eagle

In Re that Hill article by Ari Fleischer, all you need to know while reading it, is the story of Robyn Gritz:

"When the FBI launched an investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, one of the bureau’s top former counterterrorism agents believed that FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe would have to recuse himself from the investigation.

Former Supervisory Special Agent Robyn Gritz was one of the bureau’s top intelligence analysts and terrorism experts but resigned from the bureau five years ago after she said she was harassed and her career was blocked by top FBI management. She filed a formal sexual discrimination complaint against the bureau in 2013 and it was Flynn, among many others, who publicly came to her aide.

In her first on-camera interview she described the retaliation from McCabe and others in the bureau as “vicious."

Captain Hate

According to the Horde, Romney is joining Robby Mook and Crowdstrike to "secure our elections". Even I didn't anticipate how low that asshole would get.

What is being revealed is how willing politicians are to dig into and use all those resources as they seek to obtain and retain the power to control all of us, and how easy it is to place low and mid level government employees into the ranks to help them.

The folks being controlled don't help their cause by being ignorant and compliant, but unfortunately, that is reality.

So glad to hear the good news about your son, MM!

Old Lurker

OTOH, what the Left been doing transcends any one or two individuals including Obama. Coupled with the long march of Bill Ayer's control of public education, the destruction of virtually all churches, the destruction of the family units and life itself, the rewriting of our common reasons for existing as a country including the removal of all barriers to enter it, what they are fighting for is to save the last and most powerful weapons they have for the total control they seek.

I just want to see the memo. There's too much rending of garments going on for it to be a completely damp squib.

Carter Page may be a reasonable target for scrutiny. I have a feeling there was some fairly outrageous mission creep from "what's up with this dude."

And I have had it with the sources and methods dodge. It's too often a cover for slander, which leaves the victims with no way to defend themselves. Sure, "The FBI" wants to keep its power to do what they have done for years. Most institutions do. The media is treating this as some absolute moral authority they should have -- and that's nonsense.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Regarding Google et al., I think a great many people (me included) have thought of those companies more like utilities. No one thinks about who knows what you are typing into a search engine, nor where that data is stored.

I never used to think about it, but now I do. This is why I search on many different engines and am mindful of data storage. It is also why I don't do Twitter posts very often.

Mueller requesting a delay in Flynn's sentencing could be way to pressure Flynn or son for more information. As I recall Flynn was just about bankrupt due to legal fees.

Posted by: Davod | February 02, 2018 at 05:11 AM

That is a narrative our side *wants* people to believe.

Think it through, and you know that is not true. Flynn? Near bankrupt after a 30+ career that ends as a General in the Army?

Not likely.

Add in the tremendous amount of support he has around the country and it becomes damn near impossible to believe. They've worked a beautiful game, an absolutely beautiful Op that plays on the enormous hubris of the leftwing.

Remember, they thought the election of Obama "was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal." It's good to remember Althouse calling out that monstrosity as the "most megalomaniacal line in Barack Obama's" June 3, 2008 campaign speech.

Crazy, crazy, crazy. Peggy Noonan and her crowd elected him anyway. She should never ever be able to live that shiznit down.

Old Lurker

RG, stroll down K Street with $1M in cash (which required $2M in earnings pretax) and see how fast that will get used up by the sorts of lawyers one needs to fight off the government in a high stakes case.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

We have the advantage of remembering when the press considered the FBI highly sispect and made fun of them. I find this 180 in which the press suddenly defends their integrity highly suspicious, which of course makes me even more interested in seeing that memo.

As an aside, I want a law that ALL interviews with the FBI must be recorded and archived. I was horrified to learn that they are not and all they use are the agent's hand-written notes. What kind of crap rule is that?

NSA new Mission statement.

The NSA changed its mission statement, deleting honesty and changing the definitions of integrity and transparency. The changes are revealing, because changes in mission statements reflect changes in how an organization views itself.

Sounds like Goolag changing from "Do No Evil."

"The shift from a specific criminal accusation to nebulous conspiracy theories that can never be disproven, but that empower open-ended witch hunts, are a hallmark of Dem smears.
The Mueller investigation likewise isn’t actually hunting for Russian collusion, but trying to entrap President Trump with accusations that he covered up a crime that it can’t prove ever happened.
The second phase of a smear is to use the damage control tactics of the victim to create its own crime. The dubious original accusation, Quayle’s drugs or Trump’s Russian plot, never needs to be proven. It only needs to be shown that the target attempted to defend against the accusation."....

"The campaign against Trump is unprecedented because of the scale of the abuses. The collusion between Obama government officials and Clinton campaign personnel transformed opposition research into a license for surveillance on the political opposition. A conspiracy theory from the Clinton campaign became leverage for delegitimizing and trying to reverse the results of an election. And the conspiracy theory that elements of the FBI loyal to the Democrats relied upon to attack Trump originated from the deepest sewer in Clintonworld that had been covertly smearing political enemies for decades."...

Blumenthal: There Is a ‘Credible’ Obstruction Case Against Nunes

"I think a lot of the statements that Donald Trump has made in connection with the release of the Nunes memo may well come back to haunt him, as evidence of obstruction, because what we're seeing is obstruction of justice unfolding in real time right before us," Blumenthal said on "Morning Joe."

Panelist Mike Barnicle asked him whether Nunes could be roped into that conversation about obstruction, too.

"If you take Devin Nunes' statements about the memo and about the ongoing investigation and you look at the weirdly constructed statement that is about to be released apparently, what about Devin Nunes obstructing justice?" Barnicle asked.

"I think there is probably a credible case involving Nunes as well," Blumenthal said. "Not just in what we know publicly, but in conversations that no doubt took place between him and the White House, which evidently was involved in drafting that three-and-a-half page memo."
