The Left has united around a party -- the Democratic Party.

The Right has untied around an ideology -- conservative/libertarian/free-marketism.

Which is the correct, winningest way to organize one's side - -by party, or by ideology?

Ace, and many "conservatives," are pretty much disgusted by the Republican Party.

But the same is not true on the Left -- 99% of leftists vote for Democrats.

So the result in the real world of party politics is that Democrat candidates have an easier road to winning. GOP candidates only get about 50% of conservative voters, because the rest of us are disgusted.

And another problem the right faces is there is still no good catchy name for the ideology that I clumsily called "conservative/libertarian/free-marketism."

But on the other hand, the Democrats don't "stand for" anything, other than bald-faced totalitarian power. That's not a good way to win hearts and minds.

Fairly obvious in the video replay the Yankee player intentionally stuck his left leg out when sliding into 2nd base and spiked Holt in the leg. It was a force play so there was no reason for sticking his leg out like that.
