Ha! Thanks, Jack--and worse, Wessex is a dismal pit of agrarian despair--in Hardy's view, something like Appalachia. Hardy was a snob in his own way, as failed social climbers often are. But a brilliant writer--one of the best. But I can't stomach his Darwinian and fatalist worldview.
I wish there were a Duke of Gloucester again--various men who held that title show up repeatedly in Shakespeare (even in Lear, but there "Gloucester" is an Earl).
There is a current Duke of Gloucester, Catsmeat. He just stays out of the news, unlike the Kents. H & M are taking his 20 room apartment at Kensington Palace, allegedly since his kids are grown.
Ralph L, is correct about the Duke of Gloucester. Its a title reserved only for direct descendent's of the throne. The present one is an Architect and King George V and Queen Mum's grandson.
When you get to the actual pitch, it is hard to click over to all of the points, so at the end, the pitch is distilled into a 2-page screen cap, which I HIGHLY suggest you read:
Here is the full pitch in two images for ease of sharing and review.
Here are the details of that Judicial Watch related request for Strzok and Page to protect their personal device messages. Along with that...
On May 21, U.S. District Court Judge Reggie B. Walton ordered the FBI to begin processing 13,000 pages of previously undisclosed emails exchanged exclusively between FBI officials Strzok and Page between February 1, 2015, and December 2017. The first 500 pages of records are to be processed by June 29, 2018.
(1) the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) shall process the 500 pages of potentially responsive records and produce any responsive, non-exempt records to the plaintiff on or before June 29, 2018;
(2) after June 29, 2018, the FBI, on a monthly basis, shall process 500 pages of potentially responsive records and produce any responsive, non-exempt records to the plaintiff; and
(3) on September 1, 2018, and thereafter on a quarterly basis (once every three months), on the first day of the month (or, if the first falls on a weekend or holiday, the next business day), the parties shall file a joint status report advising the Court of the FBI’s progress in processing the request.

Some news - Sessions has tapped Zachary Terwilliger to serve as US attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia; Terwilliger had been serving as DAG Rosenstein's chief of staff/associate deputy attorney general; he'd received endorsement from both of VA's Democratic senators
1. Europeans must bring resolution to [the United Nations Security Council] protesting U.S. violation of UNSCR 2231 [the UN resolution endorsing the Iran nuclear deal].
2. Iran's missiles and regional presence absolutely may not be discussed with European leaders.
3. Europeans [must] clearly oppose all American sanctions against Iran.
4. If the Americans try to interfere with Iran's oil sales, the Europeans must guarantee the purchase of oil from Iran.
5. Europe must guarantee Iranian banking connections.
Yesterday we were wondering if the FBI had instructed Strzok and Page to preserve work-related emails on their personal devices...
On May 2 the FBI wrote a letter to Senator Grassley saying it had not requested information from the personal email accounts of Strzok and Page:
[T]he FBI has not requested from Ms. Page or Mr. Strzok any information from their personal email accounts, nor as the FBI conducted searches of non-FBI-issued communications devices or non-FBI e ii accounts associated with Mr. Strzok or Ms. Page. The status report also details the FBI’s promise to try to preserve the Strzok-Page records from their personal devices.
This is a do-over. This time we're going to do it the right way. The Obama way. No talk of photo-ops,nobel peace prizes, commemorative coins or being the best, classiest President in the history of the world etc etc.
In other words this about Trump or his ego, it's about denuclearization of the Korean peninsula(...aaand we've just President Trump's attention).
Time to put your big boys pants on and start running the country like adults.
imagine how triggered they will be when they read this part of the statement,
Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting. Therefore, please let this letter serve to represent that the Singapore summit, for the good of both parties, but to the detriment of the world, will not take place. You talk about nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.

so, it's going to take 26 months to get highly redacted (processed) undisclosed emails?

"[Kim] got global recognition and regard. He’s the big winner," she said. "When he got this letter from the president saying, ‘Never mind’– he must be having a giggle fit right there now."
...
"Clearly, it takes preparation, which the president didn’t make. It’s clear he didn't know what he was getting into, and now he’s walking away from it in this very chummy, palsy-walsy letter to Kim Jong Un. He, Kim Jong Un, is the big winner."
"It’s kinda like a valentine to Kim Jong Un," she added. "Really? Really?"
Pelosi said Trump was not deferential enough to the State Department and argued he took steps to "deplete" the department.
"ordered the FBI to begin processing 13,000 pages of previously undisclosed emails exchanged exclusively between FBI officials Strzok and Page between February 1, 2015, and December 2017."
In any dimension you want, if the AG, DAG, and FBI director were wearing White Hats, that processing would have commenced the morning after they were discovered.
At what point can we admit that Sessions, Rosenstein and Wray are all protecting their swamp pals more than serving their country and its President?
Mind you, when the Judge orders the FBI to BEGIN, we can take that as proof that they have not BEGUN. On what planet in this play did that make sense if they wanted to correct injustices?
Not being argumentative, I really do wonder how RG, eg, can make this support his theories?
A senior North Korean official referred to Vice President Mike Pence as “stupid and ignorant” Thursday morning and U.S. policy “unlawful and outrageous” shortly before President Donald Trump announced that he would no longer meet with communist dictator Kim Jong-un on June 12.
“Whether the U.S. will meet us at a meeting room or encounter us at nuclear-to-nuclear showdown is entirely dependent upon the decision and behavior of the United States,” Vice Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui said in remarks published by North Korean state media Thursday. “In case the U.S. offends against our goodwill and clings to unlawful and outrageous acts, I will put forward a suggestion to our supreme leadership for reconsidering the DPRK-U.S. summit.”
Choe never got the opportunity to suggest reconsideration of the summit, as President Trump published a letter from the White House shortly after her remarks canceling the summit.
Did you see the account from the CNN reporter I posted up above?
The CNN reporter read them the letter (from his phone, I guess) and they were shocked and left abruptly from the nuclear site demolition and started making phone calls immediately.
Later in the article it's clear that what pissed off NK was Pence and Bolton publicly and approvingly referring to the "Libya model" of denuclearization. Considering what Hillary and Obama did to that country, that seems dumb and insulting.
Maybe a move to Pongyang so Kim doesn't face a coup. The "in Singapore" was specific.

"Duke of Gloucester"
I thought we learned last week that the proper titles are "Dutch & Dutchess".
Posted by: Old Lurker | May 24, 2018 at 12:26 PM
Ralph L, is correct about the Duke of Gloucester. Its a title reserved only for direct descendent's of the throne. The present one is an Architect and King George V and Queen Mum's grandson.
Posted by: Jim Eagle | May 24, 2018 at 12:27 PM
Mean't to add his formal title is Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester.

This is a really, really good thread, which I am going to make use of with my daughter.
First, here is the thread which explains what an elevator pitch is, and why Galactic Red Pill thinks it is important to have one:
https://twitter.com/GalacticRedPill/status/999677106383540227
When you get to the actual pitch, it is hard to click over to all of the points, so at the end, the pitch is distilled into a 2-page screen cap, which I HIGHLY suggest you read:
Images are at the link. Click on each for an enlarged version.

Iran issues terms of surrender to Europe:

In other words this about Trump or his ego, it's about denuclearization of the Korean peninsula(...aaand we've just President Trump's attention).

imagine how triggered they will be when they read this part of the statement,
Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting. Therefore, please let this letter serve to represent that the Singapore summit, for the good of both parties, but to the detriment of the world, will not take place. You talk about nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.
