Captain Hate

AB, that would make sense, like touching the brake pedal overrides cruise control. Still, in a cramped cockpit...

Captain Hate

Buckeye, the number of resignations from a majority party is highly unusual and suggests that things weren't as they seemed to be.

Beasts of England

I think in the next few months we'll have a much better understanding of their true motivations, Captain. Their actions, including resignations, are incongruent with the public reality.

Now Lou has on the Daily Caller's excellent Reporter, Luke Rosiak, who has been the go to guy on the Awan's for the last year.

Luke Rosiak: Here is how you explain it Lou, this is about rigging the 2016 Election. There was a 2nd hack that occurred the same week that the DNC was breached, same week that WikiLeaks started putting up those DNC E-Mails. The House of Representatives Inspector general briefed Authorities that there was this ongoing hack by Pakistan's to the Democrats hired IT guy. Ordinarily they would have been arrested off the bat, obviously, but think about it, that Russian narrative that they just decided to start pitching that very week, you know how tenuous it is, how it's based on nothing. You throw into the mix arrests of Pakistanis for similar hacks at the identical time, hired by Democrats and unvetted, then the narrative about Russia would have been impossible to secure, and as you know that is all they care about--- the narrative. (Lou interrupts In full Furious mode)

Lou: ...Why aren't we hearing about this from the Republicans?..Has DWS been given immunity?...Has Awan been co-opted?

Luke Rosiak: What it is is that the handling of this case disproves the entire Russian narrative. Democrats don't care about hacking. They don't care about Foreign meddling. What they did in this case is decide to knowingly allow the US Govt to be hacked by Pakistanis for 6 months, until right after the Election, so that they could peddle a phony Russian narrative. We know that they would go to any lengths to smear Donald Trump with this Russian Narrative, but this is worse than we could have imagined. What the Dems did here is Treason. They allowed the United States to continuously be hacked by these bad guys so that they could spin this Russian Narrative, because you couldn't have it both ways---If you arrested these guys it'd be all over the Media, so say "bye bye " to any Russian Narrative. At that point it just becomes ridiculous for the Dems. Fool me once shame on you, Fool me 10 times shame on the Dems for being completely negligent for letting their IT be hacked again and again. This is by unvetted Muslims, who came over thru Chain Migration. This would have been the October surprise that would have ensured a victory by Trump, and the House of Reps withheld that knowledge from voters and put the country at risk in the process.

Sorry. Ran out of tape.

Lou replied that not a one of the 44 Dem's hacked did any background check of the Awans.

Rosiak concludes by saying that Jeff Sessions can expose this entire thing but he is refusing to do so. He says that Sessions has the evidence at his disposal today and the power to do something about it since it's divorced from his Russian Collusion recusal, and that it is an open and shut case, but Sessions is refusing to open the case, and spittle flies from Lou's lips as he thanks Rosiak and calls for a commercial break:)

Very interesting. As per @TheLastRefuge2 only 3 congressmen attended High Priest's testimony today because Chairman Goodlatte EXCLUDED the rest, and then, because he excluded Trey Gowdy, excluded himself.

So only two Rs & one D went to the hearing. Hmmm.

I think in the next few months we'll have a much better understanding of their true motivations, Captain. Their actions, including resignations, are incongruent with the public reality.

Birthers believe that the biggest coverup they were all involved with was knowingly allowing an illegal alien to become POTUS followed up by being complicit in the targeting of True the Vote's Catherine Engelbrecht after she exposed the Uniparty in the most meaningful way possible.

Both these events sent afterbirthers around the bend, from JOM to Weekly Standard, to NRO, etc.

Have you ever wondered how I have been ahead of the curve on who to hate when it comes to people who are supposedly on our side?

It is a simple birther/Consent Decree smell test. If they aren't willing to engage on the merits, F them.

Today this country has a Birther President who neutered the Consent Decree on his path to victory. The scoundrels in DC have been covering this up for so long, it is a threat to all of them.

I am still puzzled on who did what, MM. That meeting is shrouded in mystery.

I heard an audio of Jim Jordan on Ingraham's radio show. She sounded stoned. Very unexcited. When she was done talking to Jordan about tariffs and other stuff she had about 2min to ask about the meeting. Usually Jordan goes off like a Roman Candle after he is done with a hearing. He was very calm and didn't offer much other than a slip up about Preistap's trip overseas.

My gut tells me they got more info than they wish to let on.

As far as the Goodlatte/Gowdy attendance? I would still like some sort of corroboration.

Corrupt DOJ

The Justice Department signaled Wednesday in a letter to Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein will not recuse himself from Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation unless department officials find it necessary.

Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd wrote that Rosenstein "would recuse from all or part of any matter if recusal were deemed appropriate by Department officials who are informed about the matter.

"Otherwise," Boyd continued, "[Rosenstein] has a responsibility to fulfill his oath to well and faithfully execute the duties of his office."

Graham sent a letter to Rosenstein last week asking the deputy attorney general whether he considered himself a "potential witness" in the Mueller probe due to his role in the firing of FBI Director James Comey. President Trump cited a memo authored by Rosenstein to justify Comey's dismissal in May 2017.

Fox News reported last week that Rosenstein claimed to since-ousted FBI official Andrew McCabe that Trump had asked Rosenstein to reference Russia in his recommendation to fire Comey. Rosenstein declined, and instead focused on Comey's handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe.

A source with knowledge of the investigation told Fox News that Trump just wanted Rosenstein to mention that Comey told him he was not under investigation in the Russia case. Trump himself, though, also has cited the Russia probe in explaining his decision to fire Comey?

Rosenstein appointed Mueller to oversee the Russia investigation after the recusal of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a move that repeatedly has drawn Trump's ire.

Fox News' Catherine Herridge and Judson Berger contributed to this report.

DiGeneva to Hannity on Sean's TV Show:

Hannity: ...They've had the report now for 2 weeks. Why am I suspicious? ...Why do I not trust them.

Joe DiGeneva: The reason is very simple, Sean. Rod Rosenstein is a careerist. He believes in the Institutions of the Department of Justice and the FBI, to the exclusion of any accusations of fault. What's happening right now is that the IG report is being scrubbed by Rosenstein and his minions, and by people at the FBI. They are removing as much embarrassing information about the Bureau as possible and unfortunately it's going to delay the release of the Report and perhaps put it out during the Singapore Summit. This conduct by Rosenstein and the people responsible for the delay is reprehensible, but it is of a pattern because what he wants to do is hurt the President and he wants to prevent the release of truthful information, to deny transparency to the American people to protect career people inside the DOJ and the FBI. What happened during the campaign, what happened during the Clinton E-Mail Investigation, is a national disgrace and Rod Rosenstein should be at the forefront of releasing that information and instead he is trying to hide substantial portions of it.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

maryrose,

Paul Ryan seems like a pleasant enough person. However, what aggravates me is that when there is an actual chance to stand up for the President (and m9ore importantly, the people who support President Trump) he suddenly goes all "bi-partisan" and refuses to speak out on serious issues. The FBI did NOT behave properly. Period.

Why is he giving people like Comey the benefit of the doubt? It's more than obtuse; it's like passive-aggressive sabotage.

Paul Ryan doesn't speak for me and I don't appreciate him acting like he does.

Pullquote: "It's a shitshow," said one Democratic strategist in the state of Ellison's decision Tuesday.

In the governor's race, Tim Walz, who in 2016 managed to win a rural district that Donald Trump also carried, was far ahead in fundraising and had won many straw polls. But last week, the party unexpectedly backed Erin Murphy, a more progressive woman from the Twin Cities, over Walz — setting up a contested primary between Walz and, at the last minute, current Attorney General Lori Swanson, who jumped into the race.

Ellison used Swanson's entry into the governor's race to announce his plans to run for state attorney general, setting up a competitive primary there as well."

--In his current position Gowdy does not have the power to bring charges against anyone.--

Gowdy has the power to go on TV and damn Trump for acting guilty.

Surely he has the power to stand up and educate himself about the Awan's or any of another hundred things that ought to be of concern to the Chairman of the House Ethics and Oversight Committee, and then make them public. His recent pattern is to either feign ignorance, or to side with the bad guys and make the job of those trying to get to the bottom of the corruption in DC much, much harder.

Gowdy is in the perfect position to do immense good to this Constitutional Republic at this critical hour and he's decided instead to be it's enemy. Just my opinion, but what an enormous disappointment he's turned out to be, but I will give him this: he is very good at sharpening verbal knives to stick in the back of Nunes and Jordan and Grassley and Meadows. Chuck Schumer and Adam Schiff could sure use an ally like Trey Gowdy.
