Apparently the border is all people are talking about. Incredibly, there is also some political posturing taking place.

Trump needs to do a rally with audio/visual aids or a Presidential speech if the current news coverage of the immigrants continues. There is a very strong counter argument to this emotionalist outburst.
And, Daddy, the more I look at the OIG report by Horowitz, the more it looks like a Rorschach test. You can see anything you want to in it.
It completely skips over the fact that Clinton setting up a private server, outside of government control, might be the original sin. They are hell-bent on finding the second sin of criminal intent, and not finding it.
I've been reading the report, and summarizing it, but I have to leave out a lot in summarizing it. The details I don't report on are just as interesting as what I do note.
You can gloss over the report and say there was no bias, but as you read the report, the bias, and the way decisions were made screams bias.
I'm trying to figure out if Horowitz is a straight-arrow, an apologist, or just very very cagey. I am inclined to the latter. The report, while intended to be neutral, and just the facts, and not Monday morning QB'ing, has so many interesting diversions that it looks like Horowitz has planted traps that most people haven't noticed yet.
GE had been part of the Dow Average since 1896, when the index was first developed. To me it indicates how badly the company was managed after Jack Welch left. From 1981 to 2001, under his leadership the stock rose 4,000%. 17 years later it's crippled.

What's on TV is a political tactic but something else terrifying is going on. Formerly responsible ppl suddenly sound like extremists. Left's no longer working to convince those who disagree. They’re trying to destroy those in the way. It’s not a pose. They're sincere. It's war.
=====================================
Tucker finally figures it out.
I have been aware since I read that Plouffe tweet.
Yes it is. It's been war.
Their attempt to invalidate the election made it undeniable, but relatively few people know what happened.
Listening to the crying children audio every thirty minutes on NPR yesterday confirms it, as Tucker recognizes. Carpet bombing.
There's going to be more violence soon---the troops have been whipped up. The kid yelling F*%# you to POTUS, the mob forcing Nielsen to leave the restaurant. Shooting Steve Scalise type stuff.
Remember, much of their base are emotion driven beings with the reasoning capacity and behavior control of an adolescent, as MM so often reminds with her reports of her daughter's activities.
You find more of the same all over Facebook.
Pray for strength for our front line.
And do what you can to educate the educable.
Be careful and prudent. I'm serious.
Not the time to be wearing the MAGA hat at Starbucks in urban enclaves.
The GOPe always falls apart when confronted by emotionalism. They can't help it. It's who they are. Spineless creatures with no principles. "It's too hard."
My daughter is a fragile sort. She is on a bunch of meds courtesy of her psychiatrist and she is easily duped by stuff on the internet. It frightens me, because I can see it happening.
She went after her brother on Facebook that same day.
She did apologize to me yesterday afternoon, and we agreed not to discuss politics for a while. However, I am concerned about her susceptibility to this type of stuff.
This has been carefully planned. The signs, the graphics, the involvement of the Bush's and other Bush GOP types, it's obvious when you look at how quickly this was rolled out.
By the way, guess who is involved in the Reagan Battalion (who Brad Parscale called out yesterday)? Evan McMullin, that creep with a CIA background. I wonder how many others are involved from the CIA.
I sound like some loony from the 60's, don't I? McMullin apparently was tasked with dividing the Trump base. Both the effort to stand up for Sessions and this illegal immigration controversy smell to me like divide and conquer strategies.
I'm trying to figure out if Horowitz is a straight-arrow, an apologist, or just very very cagey. I am inclined to the latter.
I waited tables for years and years, and this is my read as a waiter, so take it for what it's worth:)
It appears to me that Horowitz is happy when guys like Gowdy, Goodlatte, and Meadows are asking questions that dig deep and get somewhere, and illustrate the corruption rife throughout the FBI/DOJ that are exposed in his Report. I don't see him taking any offense to that at all. It's almost as if he can't say it himself but internally he is cheering these guys on for asking and saying what he might like to say if he felt less constricted in his position. I don't sense any reticence by Horowitz whatever to deflect the probing incoming questions he's getting exposing this corruption, so just my read on him tells me he's glad these guys are grilling him and getting the info out there. He's almost apologetic when he has to defer from replying with specifics.
On the other hand I get no sense from Wray that he is anything other than a typical Swamp sleaze-ball, perfunctorily going through the motions, and wishing the everybody would just shut up with all these damn questions so he could get on with the task of papering over all the undeniable corruption at the FBI and move along.
So all that said, I'd love to wait tables on Horowitz, but I could give a damn if Wray wound up being my customer.
MM, I know you want what is best for her, but it seems she is abusive.
I wrote five or six long posts since you posted the most recent one about her, but it's far from the first time I've thought that.
You've alluded to your ex being so too--she not only saw it, you all got comfortable with that dynamic.
She has issues, don't we all??--but she is responsible for her actions--which are disrespectful and rude, to say the least.
Pointing that out, and having consequences---do you really need to do her laundry and feed her?
Lots of jobs out there, you would be a great employee--?maybe time to move out?
We parents have to be careful to not let our love let us become enablers.
MM. Show her the picture of the little boy in the cage, then the full picture showing him in the cage full of protesters. That picture is the clearest evidence of media manipulation.
The concluding paragraph to Davod's headline on fraud in some Stanford Sociology study of prisons:
So no, if you put a normal human being in a position of power over a prisoner, they do not automagically become literally Hitler. The guy just plain lied. And yes, psychology is packed full of appalling horseshit like the Stanford Prison Experiment. Whammin's Studies etc. is of course much worse. SJWs really are cwazy crackers.
This immigration assault will start to fall apart. Trump is correct to stand his ground. The GOPe always falls apart when confronted by emotionalism. They can't help it. It's who they are. Two nights ago Levin said that most of the Repukes running against DJT in the primaries would have caved after two seconds of MFM attacks. That is what we'd put up with since Reagan: gutless sellouts who never had a principle that wasn't negotiable.
I watched the destruction of Sarah Palin at the hands of the MFM and the GOP cowards and figured we'd never have anyone in the White House willing to stand up for what made the country special. I had no idea what we had in Trump once he started winning the primaries and reluctantly jumped on board only to be increasingly surprised in a good way. The NeverTrumps will never get it.
The first time I heard Nancarrow's music it gave me a headache trying to keep up with it. Using multiple player pianos as the only way to realize his compositions was a type of genius that would only appeal to a small niche. I figured he'd attract the attention of some YouTubers with metal heads being a good example.

Politicians don’t want to actually fix any issues. If they actually fixed them then they would have nothing to campaign on.
They weaponize issues. Raise funds. Push agendas. And then forget about them when the News cycle changes.
=============================
This is the father of Meadow Pollock, a victim in the Florida school shooting.
Yes - don't miss Clarice's 7:24 post. It appears threats and blackmail is SOP!
Remarkably, the “Justice Department” shut them down by allegedly threatening to indict NYPD officers on the two-year old death of Eric Gardner if the NYPD disclosed it.
My gut looks at his history and tells me:
* Obama-era appointee so cannot be trusted with truth.
* Prior to gubbmint service, white-collar defense. So defending a Strzok might be kind of instinctual.
* Internal investigations. So defending institutions might also be instinctual.
* Regulatory compliance: So plenty of opportunity to get familiar with the ways of the swamp.
Do that Rorschach.
The email report itself. 500 pages to tell us what we already knew: Clinton and her crime family handled basically every bit of classified information they came across in ways so insecure they seemingly invited interception and theft. (What I haven’t heard - maybe Jim nj can correct me - is the report stating that this in and of itself was criminal.) And that a cabal existed within the DOJ and FBI that was working for the Clinton campaign, with Bill Clinton / Lynch being one nexus, and likely Obama / Hillary as another. The cabal worked to sink any option of prosecution and avoid damaging the campaign via mass immunity grants and patterns of leaks. Why 500 pages? To hide the forest with trees? And this isn’t even the main event, which I think is the FISA abuse and spying.
Is Horowitz trying to close off avenues of escape before releasing the Big One, or is he creating “IG report fatigue” to minimize the impact of what’s to come?
There’s another Rorschach for you.
It still feels like this is all much bigger than has been let on so far, and the stakes will get much higher. The left is already trying to incite violence with the intent of forcing the right to back down. And since our “leaders” never learned to fight, I think that’s exactly what will happen. Trump cannot do this singlehandedly.
GUS thinks a war is coming, and Ig occasionally posits some uprising should the right events occur, but I don’t see it.
Strzok was actually escorted out of the FBI last Friday. It was reported yesterday but he was out as of last week, the day after the IG report dropped.
Not a coincidence.

Absotively amazing, GE is now no longer a part of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/19/walgreens-replacing-ge-on-the-dow.html
GE had been part of the Dow Average since 1896, when the index was first developed. To me it indicates how badly the company was managed after Jack Welch left. From 1981 to 2001, under his leadership the stock rose 4,000%. 17 years later it's crippled.

What's on TV is a political tactic but something else terrifying is going on. Formerly responsible ppl suddenly sound like extremists. Left's no longer working to convince those who disagree. They’re trying to destroy those in the way. It’s not a pose. They're sincere. It's war.

They want to send the immigrants back to Italy and Greece, who only took them in, because Germany would accept them.
We should find a way to convince all of ours to migrate to Canada.

It's war
You find more of the same all over Facebook.

anonamom,
My daughter is a fragile sort.
Your advice is wise.

I am very happy she apologized.

This immigration assault will start to fall apart. Trump is correct to stand his ground. The GOPe always falls apart when confronted by emotionalism. They can't help it. It's who they are. Spineless creatures with no principles. "It's too hard." Get a backbone and the facts and fire back. "It's too hard."
Really?, drop out of politics, if you can't stand against these silly media attacks. We've had two days of this. What's next? How do they raise the temperature? I presume they've taken there best shots already. What's left? More of the same? That won't work as long as we push back.

"When you speak out, you encourage others to speak out." ~ Eric Metaxas
bits from an old Prager/Metaxas discussion -
2 strong points were:
*speaking up while we still can - Metaxas raised Bonhoeffer & Germany & how the ability to speak out against evil became harder & harder & harder. Polite silence is a LOSER strategy.
and
*this is AMERICA...we can think & say whatever we want. We all should really be outraged at any attempt to silence the exchange of ideas.
Speak up. Take action. Begin NOW.

They weaponize issues. Raise funds. Push agendas. And then forget about them when the News cycle changes.

Re. Horowitz, I don’t know what to think.
Posted by: Another Bob | June 20, 2018 at 08:03 AM
Strzok was actually escorted out of the FBI last Friday. It was reported yesterday but he was out as of last week, the day after the IG report dropped.
