JimmyK, your post on the previous thread about Page's remarks in IG report about l'affaire Strzok-Page: "The predominant reason that we communicated on our work phones was because we were trying to keep our affair a secret from our spouses."

Who says 'predominant reason' about love or sex? I know these aren't normal or 'regular' people, but wouldn't you say, 'the main reason....' ??

Gawd, where did all these repulsive people come from!

Repost from last thread...

It is not necessary to believe that (a) women shouldn’t be fighter pilots, in order to believe (b) lowering standards for the sake of quotas is a bad idea. Of course, you may believe both (a) and (b), but it is (b) that gets people killed.

Affirmative action quotas in military promotion boards are one of the worst kept secrets at the Pentagon. Its been DOD policy for decades.

Military promotions boards work something like this. 1000 candidates are eligible for promotion to the next rank. Only 60% will get promoted. The promotion board reviews all the personnel records, performance reports, etc and ranks everyone 1-1000. After they get the initial ranking they look at the race and gender of the top 600. If the top 600 don't have enough minorities and females in it, then the promotion board adjusts the rankings and moves someone who was originally ranked 601-1000 up at the expense of a white male officer who was in the original top 600.

Promotion boards are conducted under a shroud of secrecy and the board members will get punished if they violate the NDA and divulge how the quota system works.

The treatment cured her!

A woman went to the emergency room where she was seen by a young, new doctor.

After about 3 minutes in the examination room the doctor told her she was pregnant.

She burst out of the room and ran down the corridor screaming.

An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was.

After listening to her story he calmed her down and sat her in another room.

Then the doctor marched down the hallway to the first doctor's room.

"What the hell's wrong with you?" he demanded.

"This woman is 68 years old, she has two grown children and several grandchildren, and you told her she was pregnant?!!"

The new doctor continued to write on his clipboard and without looking up said:

"Does she still have the hiccups?"

The Latin phrase quis custodiet ipsos custodies (which I believe JiB used in one of his Latin quizzes) becomes more relevant than ever. Who will monitor the face/GPS/social media/scanner monitors? Especially since the monitors are likely to have agendas similar to the agendas of the investigators in Horowitz's report.

Good point. Also, after I posted my comment I had some sense that there have been comic scenes where someone falsely claims, Jon Lovitz-style, to be having an affair to cover up a more serious crime. "I was . . . um, having an affair, yeah, that's the ticket! I was with Lola in Vegas, so I couldn't have murdered Vinnie in Jersey."

Also, as someone pointed out on Althouse, if that was only the "predominant reason," what were the other reasons?

Jane asked me about Phil hitting the moving ball on No. 13 yesterday and I posted my answer accidently on that thread, so here it is:)

"Jane,

I know that hole position on 13. If Phil had not stopped that putt, it would have rolled down into the closely mown area but would also take a strong left hand turn to end up behind the front right bunker. That would have mean't Phil would have to hit a flop shot over the bunker and leave it below the hole. Even for a magician like Phil it would have been a 100-1 shot and if pulled it off would most likely be above the hole and further away. Then he would have a more difficult putt.

It took him 5 more holes to come up the excuse he used. John Daly was DQ for a similar action but Phil is a marquee player and no way was the USGA going to disappoint the rowdy but Phil loving New York fans. It may have been different if Tiger was still playing because at least they would have him shore up the crowds."

[UCONN] Muslim professor made students remove shoes, praise Allah before entering office

Felix Coe, a former professor of biology at the public university, was seen berating a female student for not removing her shoes before addressing him in his office, according to a video posted last week by Jihad Watch.

“Take your shoes off,” Mr. Coe barked at the student.

“Why?” she asked.

“Then get the hell out of here. I don’t want to see you,” Mr. Coe responded.

“I am a Muslim,” he later explained. “You don’t come into my office with dirty shoes. That’s a curse.”

...

In the same video, two men confront Mr. Coe in his office and ask why he required students to follow such rituals.

“I wanted to know why these [signs] are necessary,” one of the men asked Mr. Coe. “Why would a student have to take their shoes off? Why would they have to say [Bismillah]?”

Mr. Coe responded, “Because I am a Muslim and I don’t want them coming in my office with dirty shoes.”

“This is your office, this is not a prayer place,” the man argued.

At one point in the video, Mr. Coe tried to grab the other man’s recording device as he tried to escort them out of his office.

“Don’t touch,” the man fired back.

The university told Campus Reform that Mr. Coe retired since the video was taken in December and that the signs were taken down as soon as they were made aware of the issue.

Read the AT article by Wauck (A Guide To Spygate)--Strzok's spin will be clear if you read Wauck's account of the process today at American Thinker. He will say the informants were part of a normal preliminary investigation done without the need for warrants and the lawyers, not he, are responsible for any misrepresentations in the FISA applications.

Thanks, Clarice. Reposting this because I found it such worthwhile reading.

Kevlar Kid

clarice posted the Breitbart article about the Holder plant in the Mueller investigative process from Justice.

it seems that Comey is the poisonous tree which launched Mueller in the first place. Sessions' recusal was ESSENTIAL to having another DOJ LIFER (Rosita) be Mueller's inside man at Justice.

Eric Holder planted "Tash" in the Department of Justice during his tenure there. This smells like Obama/Clinton (Holder arranged the Marc Rich pardon) control of the process at high leverage points.

that the IG separated Comey's lawlessness from a)his firing and, b) the resultant imposition of a special counsel, while c)substituting "bias influencing the investigation" as a main concern for posers like Trey Gowdy, table-pounding Ryan and the Alphabet Media to lap up---

to me, THAT IS THE FIX.

it's enough to keep anti-Trump public opinion in place long enough to move the needle in November toward Dems favor in the House, and facilitates BURYING the damning facts behind a goofy, ambiguous obfuscation like "bias."

(Everything human beings do has bias in it. STFW?)

also, it is not a surprise that McConnell and Clapper (Deep State assets) are calling for the Mueller investigation to shut down: they are expecting (incorrectly) a Blue Takeover of the HOR....and they will definitely be calling for the SC to be shut down. They will no longer need it.

Even if Mueller decides now to wrap up the investigation, he's wired a time-eating ploy into the process with the Russian company indictments and his foolishness re discovery.

Mueller will say "I'm trying to wrap it up but the process must go on until finer issues get resolved by the courts."

All of that chicanery and lawlessness will keep the Blue base thinking "Where there is smoke there is fire" like they do now... right up to election day.

If Blue takes the HOR, Mueller goes away.

The OIG is infected by a far more dangerous disease than political bias — fear.

The Justice Department’s tepid OIG report, with its risible assertion that there was no political bias in the FBI’s Clinton email probe, suggests that it was written by people afraid to tell the unvarnished truth about the conduct of the federal government’s police apparatus, an agency that openly defies congressional oversight and has participated in a vendetta against a sitting president. The FBI’s leadership clearly hopes that the Democrats will win majorities in Congress and put a halt to the investigations into its multifarious abuses of power. The OIG is loath to face the ruthless reprisals that would inevitably follow such a disaster.

In other words, the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General is filled with people who fear the FBI. Think about that for a minute. What is the usual term for a government whose members live in fear of its police arm? Ronald Reagan famously said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” The OIG report suggests that its demise may be only one election away.

Comey refuses to testify to Congress, McCabe pleads Fifth Amendment: Grassley

Fired FBI Director James Comey refused to appear before Congress on Monday to talk about his handling of the Clinton email investigation, and his fired deputy, Andrew McCabe, asserted his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination, Sen. Charles E. Grassley said.

Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch also declined to show up for a major hearing where the Senate Judiciary Committee was looking into the inspector general’s report detailing major bungles in Mr. Comey’s handling of the Clinton investigation.

Mr. Comey’s lawyer said he was out of the country — though Mr. Grassley, committee chairman, said he saw Mr. Comey was in Iowa over the weekend, visiting a key state in presidential campaigning.

“He has time for book tours and television interview, but apparently no time to assist this committee,” said Mr. Grassley, an Iowa Republican.

He said he had sought to compel the three to show up to testify, but Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat, blocked him. Under committee rules, the ranking Democrat must agree with the chairman in order to issue a subpoena.
