Miss Marple the Deplorable

I am going to lie down for a little bit. I have been up since 3AM.

Back after while.

daddy--Thanks again for your transcription!

clarice feldman

I love that he said Otto wambler's death was not in vain--in opened the discussions which led to this. It must be some small comfort to his grieving parents.

Another Bob

Shame that media even has to bring Warmbier up to attack Trump.

Of all the places Warmbier could have gone, he chooses to go to the biggest whack job country on the planet. He does so without eyes wide open to where and what he was, acts a fool, and a house of bricks falls on him. In the cosmic sense, did he deserve what happened to him? Of course not.

But what is a Trump supposed to do about it? Refuse to engage a whack job that is now becoming a danger to the world?

It’s a cheap shot.

Another Bob

Hearing fair numbers of nominal republicans observe that had Zero done this “we” would have ripped him.

Maybe. But I think it would have had as much to do with Zero’s likely methods. Like sending a pallet of cash and asking Kim to pretty please not use the nukes.

those republicans neede to be reminded that Obama had 8 years to do this and left Warmbier to rot over there. efemall.

Another Bob

I’d really like to know if there’s any truth at all to the speculations that we’ve been doing covert military strikes in NoKo. Now that a formal process has started will the truth of that eventually be revealed?

Will also be fascinating to see if/how NoKo media handles this domestically.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Another Bob,

Wictor says that we took them out in two strikes with kinetic weapons (Rods of God).
He says that Trump understands the Asian concept of face and although the North Koreans know that we defeated them, Trump is allowing it to look lie it's a mutual decision.

That is what I have read He makes a good case. I doubt that we will know in my lifetime.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

So much for me going back to bed. The dogs had other ideas.

I will probably crash this afternoon.

Thank you for praying. It seems the #SingaporeSummit went very well. This is just the beginning of a new chapter between NK & the U.S. My continued prayer is that God will give wisdom to both leaders. I’m thankful we have a @POTUS who was willing to take the risk.

Thanks to MM, daddy, and everyone else for staying up and posting links and comments on the summit. This was the first place I came this morning to find out what really happened.

I feel very proud of our President, in awe of his stamina, and hopeful for the future outcome.

I'm sure the media has been awake all night trying to find a negative spin to put on the meeting. I ignore them all!

Presidents meeting with #KJU exposed incredible hypocrisy of many in media. When Obama did these things,he was described as enlightened. When Trump does it he is reckless & foolish. 1 yr ago they attacked Trump for leading us towards war,now attack for being too quick for peace

President Trump has one very important thing that Zero did not.

With Zero, it was about himself.

With Trump, it is about their future.

Hearing fair numbers of nominal republicans observe that had Zero done this “we” would have ripped him.

Well, it's good that they're identifying themselves as people who need to be ignored, shunned, and voted against.

Saves us the trouble of doing it.

That's a flat out lie. We always loved the country more than we hated the JEF. His "deals" were terrible for the country and destabilized the world.

Who are these Repuke sellouts?

Right Chucky. Massive obstacles to renewing voter registration, like showing up at the polls with ID during early voting. The Huge Manatee!!!

FBN had Scaramucci on commenting about NK and China. He was insistent that China's beef with the US is commercial not military. China has only made defensive attacks on countries. Compared China now with the US implementation of the Monroe Doctrine by US.

Waved away China building islands in international waterway.

After hearing him, I can understand why he was ousted by Obama.

PS. The guy sounded like a China lobbyist.

Well scaramuccis hanging out with weasel avenatti, which doesn't speak well of his judgment.

ch-the unwise latina makes a small fortune doing speaking engagements on college campuses and is one of the most popular speakers. Her dissent then gets spread as orthodoxy of what needs to change to the next generation.

She is also involved with the iCivics k-12 curriculum now widely used to role play participatory democracy. She may stay in the dissent but it is her vision taking hold of tomorrow's minds.

Also outcomes based ed came to law school per new aba requirements starting with the class that entered in 2016. The way it works is that the conceptual knowledge, desired skills, and sought emotional dispositions get specified in advance and then assessed using the same kinds of 'formative assessments' I covered in my book for k-12.

It is a very circumscribed, manipulative conception of knowledge, and again it will be sotomayor's vision that colors desired dispositions and attitudes. Law school deans have been forthcoming to me that a common good emphasis has been required for almost 10 years now.

Captain Hate

Ugh, Robin; then the law schools are complicit in undermining the Constitution. Fortunately that fat slob doesn't put that small fortune to good use by hiring a full time nutritionist instead of hogging down carbs in every feeding frenzy. What is tick tock in Spanish?

Good Morning! Have you noticed how (redacted) the health care system has been since the Obamacare debacle? Hubby just went on a rant about the billing system at the hospital in Bangor. They are the bigfoot of healthcare in eastern Maine. Every healthcare service is under their umbrella. Hubby spoke to patient services and called them out for their coding system. He's po'ed,bigly. :)

Real Democracy Winning!

Trump MUST be re-elected in 2020

Because any other scenario leads to a truly horrifying amount of violence for the marginalized communities already under attack. Think about it.

Trump resigns. (This presumes a sense of shame he and his advisors don’t have and can’t develop. He’s not going to go quietly and build a presidential library somewhere. I don’t care how long the pee tape is or what he looks like in it. He can’t stop, because if he could stop he’d have done it already.)

Trump gets impeached and tried in the Senate. (The circus that was the Clinton impeachment would look like a parking lot carnival. Hearings would be disrupted constantly, the cable news complex might just actually explode, and it would be impossible to get a word in edgewise in any medium whatsoever. The wrangling alone over the timing and disposition of the trial, the testimony, the amount of witness tampering that’s possible when your entire administration is in hock to the Russian mob? By the time we get around to day one it’ll be 2045.)

EITHER of those come true, and the current culture war dunks itself in lighter fluid and runs through a fireworks tent. Democrats are already DEMONCRAPS and a threat to our democracy, liberals are for threatening and doxxing and attempting to rape, people are screaming about brown-people voter fraud in elections the Republicans WIN.

He isn’t the victim because they failed , and now that we know, American Patriots will defend President Trump from the enemies within. President Trump knew at every step what the Democrats were doing.

Since the Obamacare clusterf*** was mentioned, here's a piece I happened to see from an econ blog I read:

It's a little technical (and a bit confusing) but the bottom line is this:

Half of the people who sign up for Obamacare (ACA) get a flurry of medical care, then drop out before a year is over. They can always sign up again if they need to. People who stay on insurance tend to be those who have ongoing chronic and expensive conditions that need continual care. The implications for the viability of such insurance are not good.

I mean, geez, who'd have guessed that would be the result of requiring insurers to sell to anyone regardless of their health, and at the same premium?

Libya "Before And After" Photos Go Viral

Pretty sad.

Bonus quote:

Hillary still says that she has no regrets even after Obama timidly voiced a half-hearted and too-little-too-late Libya mea culpa of sorts in 2016.

Though Hillary's beloved Libyan Al Qaeda ..."rebels" — legitimized and empowered through broad support from the West — are now among the very militias hosting slave auctions and fueling the European refugee crisis, she's never so much as hinted that regime change in Libya left the country and much of the region in shambles. Instead, she simply chose to conclude her role in the tragic story of Libya with her crazed and gleeful declaration of "we came, we saw, he died."

Glum MSNBC: Just Because Summit Hasn’t Happened Before, ‘Doesn’t Mean It’s Historic’

With an annoyed tone, the Morning Joe hosts of Tuesday mocked the chances for success in the summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un. MSNBC guest Jon Meacham even denied that the summit was “historic.”

Talking to Joe Scarborough, the Time contributing editor whined: “Just because something hasn't happened before, doesn't mean it's historic. That's one thing. I think when you call something historic, it means it has a good chance of having lasting implications. And I think it's very unclear, at least to my layman's eye, that this does that.”

Also, it should be pointed out to Mr. Meacham that media outlets love to use the word “historic” for liberal accomplishments. ABC hailed Barack Obama’s “historic” Cairo speech. CBS cheered the “historic victory" for ObamaCare.

Scarborough was downright bitter in his reaction to the summit. Reacting to Trump’s effort to push economic possibilities, such as hotels and condos in North Korea, he sarcastically sneered:

Video at the link, but I didn't watch and wouldn't recommend it.

New York City signed a settlement with the federal government Monday, agreeing to invest billions more in fixing the city’s unsanitary public housing, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Geoffrey Berman, Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson and Principal Deputy Inspector General Helen M. Albert jointly filed the settlement Monday, along with a complaint alleging the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) continually violated basic safety and sanitation standards in its public housing. The complaint alleges the NYCHA left housing in unsanitary conditions and lied to federal inspectors about its use of lead paint, which is toxic.

The settlement was reached by a consent decree in which New York City and the NYCHA agree to the terms of the settlement while not admitting guilt to the numerous charges and violations.

“Instead of protecting children from lead poisoning, NYCHA systematically violated EPA and HUD lead paint safety regulations and covered up its noncompliance,” Pruitt said in a statement. “Today’s landmark settlement puts a stop to that.”

By the terms of the agreement, New York City will provide an additional $1.2 billion to NYCHA over five years, and $200 million every year after until the violations and problems are fixed.

This is how the people who don't understand the tools of persuasion see the video Trump shared with Kim. I'm glad I'm not in that reality!

ChiTown and I were discussing that video. He says (and I agree) that it's really an ad for US. It's so inspirational that it will encourage people and draw them to our side, so we should spread it as much as possible.

I see now Slate considers "Hollywood style" bad when for months they have been pointing to Hollywood as the moral arbiters of our time.

"Are you treating our allies in G-7 as enemies and our enemies as friends?"

Another good reason to fit these ninnies with shock collars before every presser.

Better yet, walk up to them and taser them, and make them do the "Shocky Shuffle" in front of their "peers."

Miss M, the media never complained about Obama's b-movie style greek columns.

Panetta: ...My experience is that it really is worth continuing to have a dialog with the Chinese. They are important to our Economy. They are important in terms of our relationships with the world. they are important to Trade. Umm, you know this is not a country that we should just uhh kick 'em around without uhh making sure that we have a strategy for how we're going to deal with them and how we're going to move forward. I know we've been kicking them around but I'm not so sure we have a strategy for how we're ultimately going to be able to resolve our differences and that concerns me.

Cavuto:...I am curious how you feel in talking to Barack Obama if you have, or to Bill Clinton, with the constant comparison this President continues to make as to the progress he is making, the mistakes he's avoiding, versus the lack of progress your old bosses had...that is a frequent theme of his, "I'm getting it done, they didn't."

Panetta: Well frankly I think, uhh, I'm still waiting for President Trump to get it done. He's torn a lot of things down. He's gotten rid of our position Climate Change, on TPP, on Tariffs, he's moved to impose Tariffs, he's uhh he's moved to stop the DACA process. But I haven't seen a strategy to get things done. He operates by chaos and I understand that. A certain amount of tactical chaos is a good strategy, but strategic chaos can be very dangerous and right now I'm still waiting for President Trump to actually deliver on all of the things he's working on to show that he can actually make the deal happen. I haven't seen that yet.

That's all I can handle from Leon Panetta.

Miss Marple the Deplorable

Of course not. I am so tired of these people that I could scream. Nothing but negativity, 24/7.

The chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee is asking the FBI about “highly questionable” redactions in text messages exchanged between two bureau officials who worked on the Hillary Clinton and Trump campaign investigations.

In a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson flagged several redactions in text messages, which he said the bureau made “without apparent legitimate reasons.”

Johnson singled out one October 2016 text message that suggested that FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok was locked in a battle with another government official over a secret surveillance warrant. In another July 2016 text, Strzok suggested that the FBI lacked the resources to conduct a thorough investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.

Morning Clarice. I have to do something around here to earn my keep:)

BTW, I don't think Cavuto's any more excited about Trumps' accomplishments than Leon Panetta is.

Rush is on a roll this morning telling us that the Media's fall back meme for the day is going to be to tell us that the cancellation of the War Games with South Korea is a terrible, terrible mistake. He says that that Talking Point is what they have agreed upon en mass in order to have a way to criticize Trump all day long, except for the various nutcases like Pelosi saying we've elevated Kim to being an equal with the President of the United States, but I missed some of Rush due to transcribing that Panetta blather so he may have mentioned something else.

ABC Radio news at the top of the Hour was 100 percent negative--- No surprise that, and focused as much on some High School kids doing a "Die In" near the President's home at Mar-a Lago as they focused on the Singapore Summit.
