Another very encouraging jobs report, with just one quibble - if the job market is so tight, why aren't wages rising? One factor - formerly discouraged workers are re-entering the work force (good!) but that holds down wage increases and actually raised the reported unemployment rate this month.
Tick tock. Democrats hoping for a bad economy to bolster their inevitable Blue Wave might want to start working on a fresh fantasy.
Misfire!

I even got a call yesterday from a consulting firm I did some work for about a six month contract for mainframe work that I could probably do in my sleep. I turned it down because it starts soon and I'm going to California next month but this should be taken as just how much the economy is thriving.

I'll just leave it that I'm very perplexed about what Mueller's up to because sloppy filings in a big money operation with experienced prosecutors, no matter what I think about their character, make no sense.
Congrats on taking a small step towards accepting the possibility that whatever Mueller is doing may not be what almost everyone assumes he is doing.
Combine that with the news from yesterday that Mueller is bringing on more DOJ and FBI employees into the investigation to work on something completely unrelated to the Russian collusion case and whatever they are working on is where the majority of the money is getting spent on.
If the bulk of the investigation has nothing to do with Russian collusion then what is Mueller investigating?

Just got to this on catch-up via the linked Gateway Pundit story, but haven't read any of the new text messages just released between Strzok-Page, so I suppose the question of if they're corrupt as hell as well as dumb remains to be answered.
Paul Sperry
@paulsperry_
BREAKING: In an 11/3/16 doc, Strzok created a fake timeline of the Weiner email recovery in order to leave a misleading record for the file, after the fact, for the purpose of CYA & getting everyone in Comey's inner circle on same page. (Similar to Rice's 1/20/17 email to self.)
7:22 PM - Jul 5, 2018
I did see that Gowdy last night said if you have to pay attention to one hearing, pay attention to the one they had last week where he was able to question Strzok for 11 hours instead of the upcoming one where he'll only get to question him for 5 minutes. Gowdy also said he plans to do the same to Page---question her at long length behind closed doors, then make the same demand that she appear in public to testify in 5 minute Congressional Kabuki soundbites. I believe it was in the interview where Gowdy said that no Republican gives a damn what Adam Schiff thinks.

It's an inference based on the assumption that Mueller's original team of prosecutors are working the Russian collusion investigation while the extra DOJ/FBI personnel being brought into the investigation are working "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation.â
This article is where I got the info the extra DOJ/FBI personnel are spending more money than the original Mueller team.

That Bloomberg piece contains a fair amount of b.s.
I think we laughed at this one yesterday:
They "forced" him to indict them and then show up in court with the evidence?
Here's another:
What's so "major" about bullying a victim to get to Trump? Do they have something "major" on Cohen?
How about this?
He's "accelerating" the perjury trap?

I'm pretty convinced at this point whatever Mueller is doing doesn't have anything to do with Trump. Brainiac, Mueller in the role of Fitzgerald is a nonstarter -- isn't it? Who of consequence buys that nonsense these days? Certainly not the President. Without a scared Prez, do we really have to worry about Mueller?
Isn't it the other side that has to *really* worry about Mueller ???
Still, these *are* frustrating days. There's no doubt about it. I haven't read this site in what seems like weeks but I know damn well the Awan plea didn't go down well here without my verifying that suspicion at all.
But the President is engaged and not shying away from the fight at all. Pruitt unfortunately steps down from the EPA and someone as appalling or moreso to the environmental lobby is put in charge.
That'll learn 'em -- sooner or later, that'll learn 'em.
I also like how he's playing this Supreme Court nomination. I think the Barrett woman is the best selection of the four floated names but . . . Hardiman is discussed near the last minute ???
Nice. Very nice. Pick your poison, boyz.

I'm pretty convinced at this point whatever Mueller is doing doesn't have anything to do with Trump.
I'm pretty convinced that Mueller is a hitman and Trump is his target.
He has nothing, but hopes against hope that something will come up while he pays his gang $400/hr or so each to dig through confiscated files and other materials, including the Trump transition emails and documents, which he had no right to get.
Think about that. The 13 Angry Dems acquired the Trump transition team's emails and documents.
He's bullying Trumps former personal attorney, former campaign manager, and former National Security Advisor. He bullied Flynn into pleading guilty to a non-crime by threatening Flynn's son. He's not bullying anyone else but Trump associates.
Ergo, there's no evidence pointing to any motives other than to get Trump and to discourage others from associating with him.
I hope Trump ends up destroying him.

Liberals grasp tightly to the hope that Mueller is just lining up all his ducks and will soon release photos of Trump and Putin working the phones together under a "Russians For Comrade Trump" banner.
In other news, when it happened several years ago I posted a link here to an online petition to reinstate Prof John McAdams, who today won a major free-speech decision against Marquette U.

Eye Doctor's characterization of Mueller as a political fixer for deep state is apt. A fixer may work in a whirlwind at times. At other times, the fixer will be patient. Mueller is patiently attempting to build criminal cases that will make life hell for Trump and his family. Trump's success as POTUS and increasing popularity make Mueller's task even more important to the deep state. We are in for a wild ride.

Manafort, Flynn, Gates, Cohen all still in legal jeopardy.
McCabe, Strzok, Page, Comey, Et al. may have lost their jobs, but their retirements are likely mostly intact, and no criminal charges ...yet.
Obama, Lynch, Clinton, Brennan, Clapper, DWS, nothing.
Awans, practically nothing.
The simplest explanation is the company, Deep state, whatever, protecting its own.
This is too big and involves too many people of both parties. I not sure anyone wants to pull too hard on the string.
Maybe Trump, but I'm not sure even he has the gonadal girth to do it as it could leave the government in shambles.

But 70 percent said they want stricter enforcement of immigration laws; 64 percent said those who cross the border illegally should be sent home, and 60 percent support âa combination of physical and electronic barriers across the U.S-Mexico border.â (AKA, âthe Wall.â)

Ext, the fate of DoJ officials depends on the state of the 4D Order of Battle as of Election Day. If the 4D proponents are correct, then tell them to join the battle the day after the election or hand the command to the general who will (History repeats itself throughout the centuries). If the cynics are correct :-), then the same firing and relocation rules applied to the FBI apply to the DoJ.

In two other recent polls, just 20 percent supported the Democrat policy of âcatch and release.â
If the truth catches up to leftist lies about family separation, and Mexicoâs new Commie president follows through on his threat to herd millions of his countrymen to the border, opposition to open borders will become ferocious.

A slow softball for RG:
If President Trump were worried about Special Counsel Robert Mueller, would he be planning a summit meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin?

I'm not debating TOM R on what MANAFORT might or might not want, I'm suggesting that the Stories he has linked are not what he represents them to be.
I actually think over all, Tom R, is right about a lot of this stuff.
His opinions are sound, but he tries to back his opinions with facts ,that are actually other peoples opinions or govt claims.
The fact of the matter is MANAFORT has been imprisoned for ONE REASON. The witch hunt to get TRUMP. That courtesy has not been extended to SUSAN RICE or any other RODHAM/OBAMA sycophant.
h/t to TOM R.

Eyedoctor,
You appear to be determined to be around here. My guess is that on occasion you have something worthwhile to offer. If that's true, lose the:
"Yeah Tommy boy, now Mueller is intentionally looking like a crooked fool."
shit.
You remind me of every liberal on the planet who when losing the argument starts changing names, and belittling people they don't agree with.
It's ugly.

If in a few weeks the fighting does end in Syria, could this generate another nomination for Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize?

Of all the judges on Trumpâs list, Barrett would be hardest to confirm, because pro-abortion GOP Sens. Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski are most likely to defect over her. But they voted to confirm Barrett for the 7th Circuit, as did Dems Joe Donnelly, Joe Manchin, and Tim Kaine.
