Buckeye,

I will offer prayers for Dave and Pam. What a horrible decision to have to make! In addition to their grief, they no doubt feel guilt.

I will pray God heals them.

Strzok Stroke

Kevlar reads short bus Gus as credible like his fanciful tales of imaginary bravado....cute like the Shrump.

Birds of a feather hang from trees together

Strzok Stroke

I pray God heals all yall.

Jane

Buckeye, I'm so sorry.

OL what did I do this time?

Old Lurker

TK, when we have a sewer or water line that might burst, we slide in a fiberglass liner, inflate it with steam and resin until it cures. If we have copper lines with pinhole leaks, we dry them out, flush them with acid to clean the inside surfaces, they pump epoxy in to recoat the pipes.

Maybe we can send A-mom out there to do the same for you? I can supply the materials if you tell me the inside diameter and length you need.

Oh. We will have to take the aorta out of service for a few days if that is OK.

Threadkiller

Buckeye, that is horrible. I am so sorry.

Old Lurker

Jane, we established way upthread that we can now blame you for anything we like.

:-)

Threadkiller

Ext, insurance will cover everything. The cardiologists won't recommend surgery at this point.

jimmyk

Jane, what haven't you ever done?

The glass half full perspective for TK is that they are aware of it and are monitoring it. What kills people is when it's not discovered until it's too late. Like John Ritter, for example. Still, all the best, and hope it stays as is.

clarice feldman

And now--David French:https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/07/robert-muellers-indictments-show-witches-are-very-real/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=NR%20Daily%20Monday%20through%20Friday%202018-07-13&utm_term=NR5PM%20Actives

Captain Hate

Condolences to your friends, Buckeye. I think the Gus trip has been deferred because I've gotten no updates.

henry

TK, that is awful. I assume the patch would be major surgery, and you would still be restricted afterwards (I don't really know). Perhaps a better surgical technique is what we should pray for.

Strzok Stroke

No updates on Gussifer .00?

Natch!

Threadkiller

LOL, OL. I have seen some "pipe bursting" sewer repairs where a new line is drug through the old one. Maybe we can miniaturize the process?

After slamming Lisa Page for refusing to comply with a subpoena on Wednesday, Republicans coming out of her closed door interview today are now describing her as much more cooperative than Peter Strzok.

My theory is that her attorneys have told her her legal jeopardy and thus she is cooperating.

Rosenstein Confirms DNC Server Was Not Hacked – Emails Were Obtained Through “Spear Phishing” Scam

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein confirmed that the DNC server was never actually hacked.

Rather, the emails were obtained through a “spear phishing” email scam which THOUSANDS of others, including Republicans fell for.

“The defendants used two techniques to steal information. First they used a scheme known as spear phishing, which involves sending misleading emails and tricking the users of disclosing their passwords and security information,” Rosenstein said.

“Secondly, the defendants hacked into computer networks and installed malicious software and allowed them to spy on users,” Rosenstein continued.

The computer networks Rosenstein was referring to was a Congressional campaign, not the DNC server.

“They also hacked into the networks of a Congressional campaign and a national political committee,” Rosenstein continued.

So the DNC server was never hacked after all?

the morning of July 27, 2016, Donald Trump encouraged Russian hackers to find emails that had been deleted from Hillary Clinton’s private server that she used while serving as secretary of state.

“I will tell you this, Russia: If you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Trump said at a press conference in Florida. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”.

A new indictment from Robert Mueller reveals that Russia appeared to be listening to what Trump wanted.

In the morning of July 27, 2016, Donald Trump encouraged Russian hackers to find emails that had been deleted from Hillary Clinton’s private server that she used while serving as secretary of state.

“I will tell you this, Russia: If you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Trump said at a press conference in Florida. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

THE STORIES THAT MATTER
DOWNLOAD
Russia appeared to be listening and heeded Trump’s call, according to a bombshell revelation on Friday. A grand jury convened by special counsel Robert Mueller indicted 12 Russian intelligence officials for their involvement in hacking the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 election.

The indictment states that on July 27 ― the same day as Trump’s press conference ― Russian hackers, “for the first time,” attempted to break into email accounts, including those used by Clinton’s personal office. Notably, the indictment specifies that the hack happened in the evening, meaning the Russian officials could have done it after Trump’s press conference.

Around the same time, they also tried hacking the Clinton campaign ― although the hacking of the campaign began earlier, before Trump’s call. .

Strzok Stroke

WikiLeaks Collaboration with Russian Intelligence: Based on these allegations, WikiLeaks was deeply involved in a Russian intelligence operation. One of the areas in which Wikileaks may be most exposed, under U.S. law, is the apparent advice it gave to the Russians on the significance and timing of some releases. Wikileaks told the Russians that it was important to release stolen documents about Clinton in early July “because the DNC is approaching and she will solidify bernie supporters behind her after.” The Russians responded, “ok … i see.” And Wikileaks explained the tactical importance further.

A few words of caution: The indictment does not allege that Wikileaks knew that it was engaging with Russian intelligence officers, and alleges instead that Wikileaks was communicating with “the Conspirators, posing as Guccifer 2.0.” That said, the exchanges between Wikileaks and the Russian front organization occurred well after the news media reported that Russians were behind the DNC hack..

Strzok Stroke

Russian State Attribution: Special Counsel Robert Mueller and a grand jury have endorsed the Intelligence Community’s judgment that the the Russian government interfered in our election in order to aid Trump’s presidential campaign. The special counsel’s earlier indictment of 13 Russian nationals and 3 Russian organizations did not allege Russian State responsibility. That’s something new here. To this day, Trump continues to refuse to affirm that view. At a press conference on Friday with British Prime Minister Theresa May, Trump said he’d ask Putin about Russia’s “meddling” in the U.S. election, but that .he did not expect a “Perry Mason moment.”

Threadkiller

Henry, it is pretty major but relatively routine. Chest cracking and heart/lung machine. After it is done I can go back to full keg bench presses. It is a really solid repair.

The docs worry is that if I have the surgery now, while I am relatively young, I may have another surgery in my early 60s. If I hold off as long as possible, I can get by with only one zippering in my lifetime.

Strzok Stroke

Americans’ Liability: This indictment serves as a firm foundation for subsequent indictments for any Americans’ collusion with the Russians (i.e., conspiracy or complicity liability). Roger Stone appears particularly vulnerable. The fact that Stone was in communication with Guccifer 2.0 (and Wikileaks, though that’s not mentioned in the indictment) is old news. But the indictment alleges that Stone was at the relevant times “in regular contact with senior members of the presidential campaign of Donald J. Trump.” That exposes the campaign itself–as an organization–to potential criminal liability as well as those unnamed senior members of the campaign.

These allegations also potentially expose some individuals to perjury if they intentionally covered up Stone’s connection to the campaign in statements made to the FBI or Congress. Senate staff, for example, asked Donald Trump Jr., “Who did deal with Roger?” to which he responded, “I don’t know if anyone did. I don ‘t know that he had an actual role in our campaign.”

On Friday, Stone told CNN that he did not think he was the unnamed person in the indictment because his contact with the campaign in 2016 was with Trump alone. “I was not in regular contact with campaign officials,” he said..

Strzok Stroke

Media Introspection Time: WikiLeaks & Guccifer 2.0 could be covered as newsmakers, covered as newsworthy subjects or cultivated as sources. The latter seems like a problem. It would be a good time for some internal reviews among the big media dogs about their relevant coverage and ties to these organizations. One line in the indictment reads, “the Conspirators, posing as Guccifer 2.0, sent a reporter stolen documents pertaining to the Black Lives Matter movement. The reporter responded by discussing when to release the documents and offering to write an article about their release.”.

Strzok Stroke

Mueller Investigation Vitality: Notwithstanding the laments and wishful thinking from people like Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal lawyer, that the Mueller investigation should wrap up, this investigation is in its prime..

Strzok Stroke

The Level of Detail: The indictment is impressive in its detail and the specificity of its allegations. It shows that Mueller has developed extremely good evidence. Where is it coming from? Does he have an insider who has provided all of this information? We may never know..

Kevlar Kid

"So the DNC server was never hacked after all?"

Okay: from Rosenstein---“Secondly, the defendants hacked into computer networks and installed malicious software and allowed them to spy on users,” Rosenstein continued."

and then the ambiguous from Rosenstein: "“They also hacked into the networks of a Congressional campaign and a national political committee,” Rosenstein continued."

ARE NOT servers the operational core of any network?

IS NOT the DNC a "NATIONAL POLITICAL COMMITTEE"?

From Clarice's 05:37 from David French:

Four vital takeaways from today’s charges:

1. This indictment demonstrates why it’s important that Mueller be permitted to finish his work.

2. It’s now becoming increasingly clear why intelligence agencies believe that Russians were trying to help Trump and hurt Clinton

3. The indictment practically screams, “More information is coming!”

4. This indictment makes it even more troubling that Trump mocks, denigrates, and undermines the Mueller investigation as a “witch hunt.”

Bullshit, Dipshit.

Kevlar Kid

The FBI are known killers.

Their violent proclivities against subversive Blacks and NDNz in the 1970s is well-documented and some cases are still be litigated on behalf of the deceased.

It wasn't just rogue agents in the field: the 7th Floor gave its blessing because that is how things are done even today.

If I were Flicka Page I'd be working on disappearing myself because she is not part of the "fraternal order"...even if she was swappin spit with Deacon Strozk.

Their use of criminal informants to do their wet work is widely known and legendary in its frequency.

Flicka Page is a walking loose end. She cannot swear allegiance deeply enough from being rubbed out or disappeared. That hasn't been necessary yet--- but the heat is slowly increasing with these hearings and the impending release of more from the IG--- oh, and those 40 bezillion indictments, can't bode well for these animals.

Daddy, the indictments show the Russions did a shotgun and caught the stupid ones. That is the MO of spearfishing success. By random chance, the stupid ones all had "D" next to their names. Can't blame Trump or the Russians for that.

I still don't think Mueller will end his Investigation prior to 19 Jan 2019, unless he is removed unwillingly from the Witch Hunt.

How odd. This morning the Dem's were demanding that Trump refuse to meet with Putin, but this afternoon the new meme I'm hearing from the Dem Talking Head on Charles Payne's FOX Business Show is that it is mandatory Trump meet Putin because he has to demand Putin turn over the indicted Russian spies for Prosecution in America.

So which is it?

Bubarooni

So Mueller indicts a bunch a Russkies right before the Prez meets with Putin.

From a friend:

"The wording of it is really disingenuous. The DNC was not hacked. The files were copied onsite to a memory stick, not drawn out over the internet. The metadata in the files shows the transfer rate to be too high to have been done over a network. The files were copied by an insider and his name was Seth Rich, who has since been killed. Assange said numerous times that he did not get the DNC emails from a government agent.
The DNC servers still have not been examined by a government agency. The private firm Cloudstrike was brought in by the DNC and declared it a hack. Not the FBI or CIA."

Kevlar Kid

There are many elements in human love: guilt isn't one of them.

when it comes to addicts, parents do themselves in with guilt, shame and self-pity because they cannot bring it upon themselves to take a fundamental step which requires the ultimate respect for who the ADDICT WAS.

that pre-addict person is GONE. the fundamental step is to acknowledge THAT truth. if that step is not taken the parent will fall for all kinds of self-medicating shibboleths which cut them off from reality and SELF-LOVE.

if i were to reduce my Love to GUILT? why get sober? that is self-pity personified, the psychic food of all addiction, no matter what brand.

that's all.

Bubarooni

"Would like JIB to continue posting because I enjoy the Frederick updates and life in the Hamptons."

"While the DOJ document is full of detailed accusations; which has given the narrative engineers a great deal of fuel; there’s a specific aspect missing. The entire indictment (full pdf below) is based on the premise of the FBI conducting some -unexplained and unsubstantiated- form of forensic data-analysis to formulate their detailed conclusions.

However, can anyone explain how this FBI forensic data-analysis was possible when the FBI was never allowed access to the DCCC, DNC and Clinton Campaign servers?

Anyone?…. Anyone?"

have been having discussions with some cronies of mine around the country since yesterday's fiasco with Dem saying Strozk deserved a Purple Heart .

he was livid over that Demz comment--- and i happened to be the person he called to vent about it. that he called me isn't the point--- it is THE POINT that the Demz call for awarding a pig like Strozk with a Purple Heart was rotten to the core and demeaning.

Trump Turnberry. This property has not received the attention it deserves. It is, by far, the biggest investment the Trump Organization has made in years. It is so much bigger than his other recent projects that it would not be unreasonable to describe the Trump Organization as, at its core, a manager of a money-losing Scottish golf course that is kept afloat with funds from licensing fees and decades-old real-estate projects.

No doubt, the President will be excited to visit. After buying the property for more than sixty million dollars, he then spent a reported hundred and fifty million pounds—about two hundred million dollars total—remaking the site, adding a new course, rehabbing an old one, and fixing up the lodgings. It is possible, though, that he will have some harsh words for his staff. The Turnberry has been losing an astonishing amount of money, including twenty-three million dollars in 2016. The Trump Organization argued that these losses were the result of being closed for several months for repair. However, revenue for the months it was open were so low—about $1.5 million per month—that it is hard to understand how the property will ever become profitable, let alone so successful that it will pay back nearly three hundred million dollars in investment and losses.

This is the first edition of a weekly column in which I hope to expose, explore, and analyze the financial activity of our President and his associates—including his family, his political appointees, and business partners—and make the case for greater transparency. We know, of course, that the Trump Organization has worked with some truly questionable business associates, that it has run afoul of anti-money-laundering laws, and that its most high-profile business expansion—a line of three- and four-star hotels—has all but collapsed. But, for all the coverage of Trump’s finances, there is so much we just don’t know. And Trump Turnberry offers a tantalizing and maddeningly incomplete glimpse into the ways in which our President makes and spends money.

The goal is getting the largest number of Dems to walk away.
Winning team is free from jail for another few days.
Losing team goes to Boardroom, manager pucks 2 to return and then President Trump decides who will be fired and sent to jail.
Winner of entire contest gets probation and the deal.

I'm asking a question to learn. I see that Jonah Goldberg has a new column up (Business Insider Waves White Flag in Scarlett Johansson Flap) wherein he attacks the Magazine Business Insider, for being cowards for pulling a column by one of their writers, who stood up against PC caterwauling about Charlotte Johnson playing some transvestite:

Business Insider ran a column defending actress Scarlett Johansson from fierce criticism for her decision to play a transgender man in a forthcoming film called “Rub and Tug.” The writer, Daniella Greenbaum, took the apparently outrageous position that actors can pretend to be people they are not. Or, as Greenbaum put it, “Scarlett Johansson is the latest target of the social-justice warrior mob. The actress is being chastised for, well, acting.”

Ironically, Greenbaum’s column rendered this claim outdated, because by writing that, Greenbaum herself became an even more recent victim of the social-justice warrior mob. In response to complaints, internal and external, Business Insider pulled the column from its website and invented some new editorial standards to justify the decision.

The question I have relates to when Mark Steyn was a writer for National Review and due to something he wrote about Michael Mann he and the Mag Nat Review and a few others were sued by Mann for defamation IIRC.

My question is. does anyone remember Mark Steyn being angry because National Review refused to stand by him in his fight against Michael Mann? I can't find the particulars and I have a very vague memory on this, so I am interested in knowing if what Jonah G is upset about today (Business Insiders gutlessness) is what Steyn was upset about 10 years re: National Review's gutlessness.

So asking for information since I don't know the answer, and FWIW Charlotte Johansson caved and pulled out of the transvestite Movie today so the particulars are moot.
