The only negative about Kavanaugh going to the Supremes, is the DC Circuit loses a really strong, smart guy for the preservation of our constitution. The Dems are anti-Constitiounal, and I wonder if the voters can see that? I would love to ask Coons about his knowledge of the Constitioun.
Rick Wilson pens another short, empty "article" for Politico, saying that now "NeverTrump" are monks preserving Christianity or something: "Like medieval Irish monks hunched over parchment by the light of a candle flame, we are illuminating the scrolls of conservatism while the storm rages and the tide of ignorance rises. We will be here when it ebbs."
Also Rick Wilson: We Christian Monks also write pornographic fan-fic about the President's family in our downtime
As monks do
These fuckers just write the same empty "articles" over and over, articles which break no news or new ground, but the left just keeps publishing them to advertise #NeverTrump to liberal donors
For example, The Washington Post has published Tom "It's Aliens" Nichols' umpteenth piece about how totally Republican it is to vote straight-ticket Democrat. This is not "news" -- it is just the insistent repetition of an insipid catchphrase. It's just advertisement for the Hot New Trend of "Republicans" voting Democrat.
I'm not sure why the White House would even respond to an anonymous story in the NYT. This is obviously timed three-fold: Kavanaugh, Woodward book, and now the op-ed.
Yeah, MSNBC has already given up the game: Kavanaugh should answer questions about this 'constitutional crisis' before he can be confirmed. I'm shocked - shocked!!
Frau, that right click thing only works when the publication wants the search engine to read the whole thing so they get more clicks. Some program differently. Seems worth a try sometimes.
Are the Dems’ internal polls showing a red wave this November? Could explain the desperation behind that fake op-ed. Hoping enough of the muddle will buy it to give Congress to the Dems so they can remove crazy Trump?

The author of the NY Times anonymous essay contending Trump administration's achievements were despite him not because of him ignores a key fact: they would not have happened if he had not won the election.
Derwill, the Dems lose the SC for a generation and Liberty will break out. Just like WI with right to work. It ends all their scams, money, and power. They will stop at nothing, whether another sit in on the Senate floor or a full on occupation of the Capitol rotunda etc. Continued Mulvaney is gutting their slush funds, ending their CFPB extortion racket, EPA is being swept clean, Ed is making Title IX closer to rule of law, etc. the SC is the big one. The Supremes create stuff out of thin air. When they lose that -- and the blue wave is the left betting their children on the roulette wheel -- they are toast.
So any idea, no matter how stupid or vile will be funded to stop Kavanaugh from getting approved. Trump is temporary, Kavanaugh is forever.
I love listening to Dem Chris Coons of Delaware. He is full of concerns.
He is more full of concerns than any concerned busybody I ever heard of. He is more full of concerns than my late GrandMother, bless her heart, when she wondered if she had eaten too much chocolate and was concerned if she might have to drink an extra dose of Milk o' Magnesia to avoid kidney stones. Coons is even more concerned than that. He is concerned that everybody on the panel should be concerned about Coon's concerns and even when Judge Kavanaugh expressly says he completely agrees with Senator Coon's concerns, Coon's says he has concerns about that. And these aren't petty concerns, no Sirree. These are world class concerns---big concerns. Big big concerns. Why I haven't seen anyone so concerned about concerns since Deputy Barney Fife:
I hope all you JOMer's got to see Senator Coon's and his concerns---otherwise I'd be concerned:(
Spengler looks at another facet of Trump's election:
Trump’s style has been obstreperous and sometimes rowdy, and he eschews the air of regal noblesse oblige that some of his predecessors brought to the Oval Office. But the hatred he elicits from the Establishment has nothing to do with style, or indeed, with any of his shortcomings: Trump is hated because the American people elected him to bury the Establishment. Last weekend the Establishment obliged by conducting burial services for itself.
You have staked out an untenable position Ben.
If Jesus is the savior and the verses you continually quote are true and I am one of those beastly hypocrites, you as an unbeliever, are going to the same place I am, which hardly seems something to crow about; you're so awful you're ending up where the Nazis go.
If they aren't true then you're going to end up in the same place with us Nazis also.
If they are true and your infantile, ignorant conception of God is wrong, as it is, and your infantile, ignorant aspersions directed at me are wrong, as they are, then you're going to hell and will be calling across the uncrossable abyss to me in paradise asking for a drink of water which I will not be able to supply.
You apparently read Pascal and decided to double down on his wager with a deck of Old Maid cards.
I'm losing hope that Sessions will come through, but the House R's are meeting Trump tomorrow to ask for declassification. Surely that meeting is for show and the idea has already been carefully considered, and probably timed for effect. Maybe that's the source of the panic.
But despite its wholesome reputation, milk has long had a sinister side, being bound up with the exploitation of the (human and nonhuman) bodies it comes from and being a symbol of and tool for white dominance and superiority...This article argues that while plant milk should not be legally prohibited from being called “milk,” it may not be a word worth fighting for given the entanglements of milk with the oppression and exploitation of women, people of color, and nonhuman animals.

'Reading #NYT op ed from "resistance underground" in Trump Whitehouse made me gag. A chicken shit traitor, an unelected bureaucrat without courage to either go public or quit, who professes without specifics to have "saved" nation from @realDonaldTrump is just a self-serving punk.'
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.) told reporters she hopes red state Democrats will pay close attention to both Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee this week and to their constituents.
She did not, however, acknowledge that the majority of Americans in red states support Kavanaugh's confirmation, according to polls, and she went on to suggest voters should ask "all 100 senators" to "vote no."
A reporter asked Gillibrand if she was worried that red state Democrats such as Joe Manchin and Joe Donnelly would vote for Kavanaugh.
"I’m just hopeful all of them listen to this question and answer, hear his testimony, fully understand where he will come down on these issues, and then listen to their constituents," Gillibrand responded.
Richard "Stolen Valor" Blumenthal is the poster boy for oily, snake-like politicians. He isn't even eligible to question a nominee for dog catcher much less the SCOTUS. Where do the Dems go to find these people, crack dens?
Jeff Flake remains an enemy and an idiot. He is using his podium to slam Trump without specifically naming Trump, by reiterating over and over again how the Executive is the most dangerous branch of Govt. Too bad we never heard Flake ever say anything about limiting the power of the Executive during the "rule" of President Obama. Suddenly limiting the Executive Branch is all that he cares about.

If you will, please say a prayer for this officer from Georgia. Matt Cooper was shot by a shoplifter who was stealing bandanas from Walmart!
Latest update:
The surgery Wednesday for Matt Cooper was to relieve pressure from swelling on the brain that was caused by the shooting, Covington police said.
A 34-year-old married father of two young children, Cooper was shot Monday while responding to a shoplifting call at a Walmart on Industrial Boulevard. Cooper was hit between his eyes, and the bullet traveled down to his carotid artery, clotting his blood and saving his life.
He was flown to WellStar Atlanta Medical Center in serious condition and moved to Grady Memorial Hospital on Tuesday.
The hospital is conducting a CT Scan on Cooper every four to six hours, according to an earlier post. The bullet is lodged against his carotid artery.

Alexander Ciccolo, who went by the name Ali Al Amriki, pleaded guilty to terrorism charges in May, three years after his father alerted the FBI about his son's desire to fight for the terror group.

You apparently read Pascal and decided to double down on his wager with a deck of Old Maid cards.
Brilliant, Igster!

Richard "Stolen Valor" Blumenthal is the poster boy for oily, snake-like politicians. He isn't even eligible to question a nominee for dog catcher much less the SCOTUS. Where do the Dems go to find these people, crack dens?

MM's 5:17 link is good. Even if ya just watch the first 3 minutes, it is nice to hear some praise of President Trump.

I'm troubled and concerned about that:(

She might consider the popular vote as a victory, in that scenario there was a runaway magistrate who sought to judge who he saw fit.

Flake de Fidel, yes I've made that point in the past.

It’s all just another example of why it’s harder and harder to ‘sell America’ around the world in the 21st century w/a clown show going on in all three circus rings. ‘The Greatest Show On Earth’ folded the tents because it couldn’t sell the show to modern audiences anymore. The advancing world looks, shrugs and is passing on by…
And Putin smiled.

Senator Flake (Rino Arizona) asking better Anti-Trump questions that the Dems. I am surprised that Bumenthal or Coons or KrowBar haven't turned their question time over to Senator Flake.

Beasts, it's simply amazing how smart he is. I feel like the dumbest lawyer on the planet after watching him.

Twitter has become a sewer especially comments to any right thinking tweet. Why even use the damn thing? I think the best the right can do is leave it and let it be an echo chamber for the deranged.

I can't recall any lawyer being questioned ever being this brilliant.

To all of the Dem Senators.....another 10 judges to be confirmed this week....Bwah ha ha!!!!
Can you say 4.7% GDP growth?
So through all of the chaos and the bombast bursting in air the agenda keeps moving forward. Mueller will soon be reduced to interviewing the Trump Tower plumbing staff to see if there was any suspicious flushing of Russian porn down the golden toilet. Hey you girls on the bicycles! Come over here, Mr. Mueller wants to interview you.
And Nike follows the Get Woke, Go Broke model. That must be what they are teaching at HBS these days.

It's too bad Senator Flake can't be buried next to Senator McCain. It'd be nice to be able to piss on the graves of both Arizona's worthless Senators without having to make 2 trips.

I think yesterday people were praising Flake. (Or am I thinking of a different one?)

Jack,
I never read comments to Tweets except for a few investigative people I follow like Wictor, Rex, drawandstrike, etc. I NEVER read comments to the President. (That's why I bring the tweets here - so you guys don't read the replies, which are uniformly awful.)

Jane,
Not only smart but a father, coach, charity helper, etc. Imagine him going home tonight to his wife and daughters and then having to get up tomorrow to face the same onslaught. Guy is pretty impressive just on those characteristics alone, much less his judicial intellect.
Its like a Great Course on the Constitution.

Jane,
I really value your opinion. I am NOT a lawyer, so you and Clarice are my go-to people on stuff like this, and I am glad you think he is as smart as I do!

Sassehole was being praised for reading excerpts of his book.

It's amazing what the FBI and DOJ can do when a cop tees his son up:
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – A Boston police captain's son, who authorities called a "committed soldier" of the Islamic State group, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Wednesday for plotting to use assault rifles and homemade bombs to kill Americans on a college campus.
Alexander Ciccolo, who went by the name Ali Al Amriki, pleaded guilty to terrorism charges in May, three years after his father alerted the FBI about his son's desire to fight for the terror group.
