Lou: interupting) When you say a woman yelled at him you are talking about a demonstrator?
Rollins: A demonstrator, yes. And you can imagine what happens if there were 10 of them. A week from now he will still be the most qualified man to be put on the Court...The people who have promised to support this nominee had better come forth.
I don’t think anyone bothered to ask Ford whether she wanted this.

America Magazine, a publication of the Jesuits, tweeted: "While we previously endorsed the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh on the basis of his legal credentials and his reputation as a committed textualist, it is now clear that the nomination should be withdrawn.".
My impression is that there is a small group of GOPe Senators who want to avoid voting for Kavanaugh. They're on board with the Dem agenda, by and large.
That's why it is important to get a vote. We need to know:
who is on the side of Americans and freedom
who backs mob rule by Dem activists
who backs authoritarian rule by unelected gov't employees
Let the Dems get a victory, if necessary. But let's get the names of the traitors in our midst. None of this, 'we don't have the votes so withdraw the nomination'. Give us the names of Senators, make them take a stand.

I would ask McCarthy to submit a list of names and every individual he recommended I would scratch off the list.
Both McCarthy and Bongino are friends with Levin and I'm sure they know and like each other. I understand where you're coming from on McCarthy because I've been extremely frustrated with him often, particularly because he's extremely unwilling to badmouth a former colleague even when he's been caught doing something illegal. I've listened to Levin long enough to hear the frustration in his voice when Andy's on his show and he starts obsessing on minutiae until Ol' Yeller gets him back on track. That said, he's on because he understands the law and how it's practiced at the federal judicial level. If you had a tv show, Law and Order Federal District Level, Bongino would be on for the first half and McCarthy the second.
For doing an FBI investigation, Bongino would be my go to guy because he probably would know the experts in getting the facts on this type of inquiry.

Local Talk has multiple callers saying all the 6 numbers for Lisa M are totally filled up meaning they call but they cannot even leave messages or talk to any humans becasue all the message mailboxes are filled up. In contrast a guy said he called Senator Dan Sullivans office and a human answered. BTw Sulliaven had an emergrncy appendectomy yesterday
People are going to be pissed at Flake but I am OK with this. Everybody just needs to hang tough while Democrats pull their BS and it will look better in the end.
This whole “My assault doesn’t matter!” thing really rips me off.
I was assaulted in a similar way to what Ford claims happened to her. (Sorry for the mangled sentence.) I can tell you the exact date, the time, who was there, why I happened to be there, who I told the very next day, the location, and why I didn’t report. (The latter even comes with its own corroboration, in the form of an obituary. Talk about a (expletive) 24 hours.) Whether or not any of that would be enough to get to “beyond a reasonable doubt” in a trial, it would certainly be enough upon which to base an investigation. For something that is not a criminal trial, but necessitates good decision-making, it wouldn’t be unreasonable.
That Blasey Ford cannot provide any basis upon which to start an investigation is… (grits teeth). If the “feminist” message is that we have to believe her because she’s a woman, total lack of evidence be damned, I don’t know how we ask people to take any of us seriously.
Done ranting. How are you all doing today?
Hey bridget. The whole “believe victims!” thing is scary and it’s bizarre how widespread it is in a country supposedly run on principles of due process.

Just started, tonight, our 7th FBI investigation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He will someday be recognized as a truly great Justice of The United States Supreme Court!
The Dems wanted an indefinite investigation. They got a week. We know they’re going to wail that the FBI didn’t take long enough, but it will be an impotent wail because all collins and Murkowski want is to be able to tell the lady parts contingent that they asked for an FBI investigation and they got one. Once the FBI investigation is over every time the Dems claim that Kavanaugh isn’t legitimate because he “raped” Ford, they get to come back with: “The FBI investigatied Ford’s claims and could find no evidence to support them.” In the end this will actually help to restore Kavanaugh’s reputation, because while we know the whole thing is bullshit the muddle will be convinced the FBI “cleared him.”
Ford may have technically committed perjury. Her workplace quickly covered up.
https://www.dangerous.com/49836/records-show-dr-ford-is-not-a-licensed-psychologist-may-have-committed-perjury/
Under California law, as with almost every other state, in order for a person to identify publicly as a psychologist they must be licensed ... To call oneself a psychologist without being licensed by a state board is the equivalent of a law school graduate calling herself a lawyer without ever taking the bar exam. ... What makes Ford’s claim even more suspicious is someone affiliated with Stanford University appears to have also been aware of the potentially damning use of the word “psychologist” and rushed to cover for Ford. DANGEROUS exclusively uncovered an archived version of Christine’s Blasey’s page on the school’s faculty directory. On September 10, 2015, the only archived date available, Ford’s faculty page was saved to the Wayback Machine and showed Ford listed as a “research psychologist” along with her email address and office phone number.
The most recent version of that page shows Ford listed only as an “Affiliate” in the department, with the words “research psychologist” removed along with Ford’s email address and phone number. This suggests the page was altered by someone very recently to scrub Ford’s contact information and title after she entered the national spotlight.

I think Mitt Romney should be required to wear one of those pink p-hats should be elected to the Senate. In fact, all the GOPe types should be required to wear them as well.

Ext, if you meant the beach friend thing, I got it off T_D. If you meant the hashtag, I pulled it from Mitt's tweet. :)

Geebus, Ted Koppel is still alive? Who knew?
Very nice dinner at Almond in Bridgehampton. Saw a friend, and his family. The DIL is one of my physicians on the orthopedic side of things. She and hubby now have two cute little rug rats. Fun time to see them.
Too bed early so we can wake up at 0200hrs for Day 2 of the Ryder Cup. USA needs an extension ladder to climb out of the hole they dug in yesterday's foursomes. Bryson Dechambeau may be a physics grad but what he needs to do is become a putter grad.

Not sure what Wictor's offense was. Perhaps he said something awful like Islam is violent, as Robert Spencer did.
What he apparently didn't do is plan an armed, murderous communist insurrection against the government of the United States and its citizens.
Twitter thinks that's just peachy.

I’m still surprised she showed up.
She was ready though. She was ready to play
the game. Just think about a grown adult women
hiding in a car to hire a lawyer. All this scheming
going on. As someone else said her parents and
brother did not sign her support letter.
She damaged goods. Not because of Kavanagh
As I said before I hope Kavanagh or someone close to
him hires investigators to dig deep and protect him.

Just started, tonight, our 7th FBI investigation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He will someday be recognized as a truly great Justice of The United States Supreme Court!

Looks like they found out he perfect guy to replace Jeff Flake on the Senate Judiciary Committee:
"Mitt Romney
@MittRomney
US Senate candidate, UT
I support the decision to re-open the FBI background investigation."
Posted by: daddy on iPhone | September 28, 2018 at 08:35 PM

Okay, I’ll be annoying in my own way, namely food and wine: bone-in pork loin roast with roasted garlic Dijon sauce, spaetzle in butter and blanched green beans. The wine is a ‘03 Far Niente Cab.
But here’s the deal. MIL and friend couldn’t make it after all. All takers welcome to join. I have enough for six. 😎
