Ext, TP on a mobile device signs me off randomly, then back to page 1 on signing in again. I’d rather wax my floors.

daddy

I hate having a different alphabet); that's a shame because I really do want to be able to read the Gospel of John for myself.

Me too Catsmeat, and John, BTW is my fav Gospel.

OK,

Whats everybodies fav Gospel if they have one?

Extraneus

My Note 8 doesn't do that, but if yours was the only default avatar, I'd look out for your comments and I'm sure the rest of us would as well.

I've never seen a proposed solution that doesn't involve Typepad logins and people actually logging in, and I don't think there is one.

Henry, what do you clean your floors with, and how do you walk upright after waxing them?

Beasts of England

I'm not gonna let you Tom Sawyer me into moving furniture, henry. I'll just send GUS by to inspect the results... 😜

narciso

Well we've been doing a long trek through the gospel of Like, which is meticulous in its record keeping, but is sometimes rather sparse on details to certain details.

henry

Clean? Mop & water after vacuuming if needed. Most places accumulate dust, so a good vacuum handles it. Tried a room a for a while, but it kept tangling in fringe on rugs. After waxing, bare feet or Topsider deck shoes. Or I navigate by sliding from rug to rug.

henry

Beasts, missed by [Don Adams voice] that much.

Comment by Look Trump in the eye blocked.

Think he'll take the time to get a Typepad login for this stupid handle?

daddy

or years I admired him, thought he was a strong Republican voice, but he turned out to be one of the greatest political disappointments in the Republican party

(How many people can we say THAT about?)

Prager made another good point this week that a really great strength of Donald Trump is that he honestly does not appear to care what people say about him. That cannot be said for any of the guys mentioned above, nor about most of us average humans, but for Trump its true, and by not giving a single damn about what they say about him he is strengthened and emboldened to do what he thinks needs to be done, damn the chattering classes approval. McCain in his later years was about nothing other than garnering the approval of the chattering classes and this orchestrated abomination of a Funeral proves it.

narciso

Luke obviously, so Craig Unger turn to recycle the odds and ends 're the groshenko is instructive for what it leaves out, podestas ties to sberbank, no mention of mercury partners or vin Weber, or lanny Davis and Michael Chertoff, of course that was a cursory look. His thesis such as one can ascertain is trump owes all to semion mogilich the big bad I mentioned earlier, firtash is the middle man that Simpson was writing about a dozen years ago, but the latter two counselors prevented his extradition from austria.

matt - deplore me if you must

Someone on FB really went after McCain today. Said he had crashed 3 planes, plus the Forrestal incident; he had been promoted over most of his classmates, and that he received some plum assignments while running up a record that would probably have knocked him out of the Navy after his initial commitment.

I don't know if any of that is true, but there seems to be a lot of dirt on him out there.

Extraneus

Btw, people seeing my avatar, fireworks are going on at this place right now.

daddy

Too pretty to waste the remaining sunlight and great weather without doing a bike ride, so since my A's just whipped the M's 8-2 and I finally caught up, if you'll excuse me...

Beasts of England

He crashed two due to pilot error; flew one (recklessly) into power lines; was in the cockpit of one on the Forrestal; and had one shot out from under him.

Ralph L

I'd like to see the US News article soon after the Forrestal that McCain contributed to from Saigon.

They said today was to be a private funeral but they did the Chapel and dragged in the Brigade of Mids. Even uncommitted viewers had to see it was way too much.

Aw, your Ox got gored?

Up until now most criticism of the tech giants has come from the left, aggrieved at the ease with which Russians appeared to influence the election via bots and fake accounts spreading divisive propaganda. Additionally they have been accused of toxifying public debate, exploiting people’s data and building monopolies that are distorting the US economy.

But now the tech giants face a whole new political threat. And this time there is a growing volume of voices on the right from senior Republicans who are incensed about perceived bias against conservatives..

narciso

I'm not going to second guess him about the plane crashes, I read the right stuff watched toko ri and intruder, but what he did after the war is fair game, the way he treated his first wife, which echoes what he did subsequently about 30 years later, with someone else who put her trust in him, 're the Keating five yes the others were weasels, except Glenn had this overweening sense of self regard, but McCain had raised the standards. Interestingly I'm informed that Charles Keating son became a marine.

Tomorrow will be the 10th anniversary of a speech better than McCain had any right to deserve, based on what she was told she encouraged her son to go to Iraq and later Afghanistan, there has to be some regret considering how both were handled subsequently.

The story of him banging Gerry Moeller's wife while his assistant coach, setting the head coach off on such an out of control across the state bender that his name became synonymous with being completely blotto, seems 100% Mad Hatter. From Janet's link:

Locally, the Republican swamp was out in full force in this effort, angry that an outsider like Donald Trump has exposed them for the feckless, useless grifters that they are. In this revolting display they were joined by the local media, the hive mind working overtime in trying to gaslight you into believing McCain stood for the best of America instead of worst, which happens to be the case. Tim Pawlenty’s campaign manager went to D.C. to pay obeissance, perfect and all of a piece, given that the new political age birthed by Trump had taken off of her hands any campaign to manage. These endangered mediocrities, and their handmaidens in the press, will never forgive the one successful presidential candidate who is keeping his promises. That, the promises kept by Donald Trump, represents the true & ongoing existential threat to our “professionalized” political class, whose members would likely fare poorly in the private sector of which they know little firsthand. The thought that brings comfort, though, is that it is only going to get worse for these types.

The whole thing is good but this was particularly satisfying.

narciso

Ext, 7:16: "Ms. McCain surely kiboshed any chance that Arizona Governor Doug Ducey would appoint her to fill her father’s senate seat, as some—even some who bill themselves as conservative—have suggested."

Oh, no, the thought of that opinionated young McCain woman -- with the build of a fire plug and most likely its IQ, along with the arrogance inbred in her because of the position and wealth and network of contacts in life she was lucky enough to be born into -- becoming a United States senator is hard to contemplate.

One really odd note - former rebels who previously laid down their weapons have been conscripted into the Syrian army. I have no idea of the purpose of that.
