Ig 2:21 bingo.

Also, I believe the VINCE FOSTER killed Yogi Kashoggi while driving Martha Moxley's Delta 88.
Mary Jo Kopechne was the master mind behind the whole caper.
I know why they didn't hire SANDY BURGLAR.
He's too sloppy.

Yes, I'm weeping over the MO-BRO-HOOD guy.

I wonder if Jamal managed to off himself upon the realization that he was doomed, regardless of what the plan was for him. A guy like him might travel prepared with a cyanide pill.

Beasts of England

'Sasse gets continuous grief here...'

And he should. Another credentialed idiot (five degrees), who's spent a whopping fifteen months in the private sector and the rest of his career in government , NGOs, and academia. Oh, boy!!

I'm glad he votes in a manner consistent with the right (like he has some choice considering his electorate) but it's the constant whiny attacks on Trump that get picked up by the MSM that can undermine the leader of his party.

Also, I guess based on his incredible knowledge of he real world, he's often mentioned as a potential primary candidate against Trump. Screw that. He'll get no praise from me.

Jane

JohnS,

That's the same for the non-rebid dems I know as well. My mother being the perfect example. Their news is all anti-Trump and they have no clue what is going on.

Rush is convinced that the illegals (who may have turned around) were paid by some dem operative e.g.Soros, Steyer etc.

He's also convinced that Kashiggi = whose name I have no idea how to say or spell was also a set-up by the pro-Iranian Kerry crowd.

I can buy both.

Thomas Collins
"zero evidence"

Well Tom R, there are zero body parts and, as I mentioned to Ignatz, innocents weren't put in danger. To carry this out with his most trusted hit men in a place in which he knew K-man could be cornered, all MBS would need is plausible deniability, not zero evidence. But even plausible deniability takes a hit when the media critters are on the case.

I can understand argument back and forth on MBS's involvement. But I have to say that I am amazed at the skepticism here that an MBS type would do a deed such as this. I am going to need to reread the threads to see whether there is similar skepticism about other theories, and I have missed it.

Jane

BTW most judges lose their cool all the time.

Miss Marple

Ignatz,

I agree with you and disagree with Thomas Collins.

I used to spend a lot of time reading Thomas Wictor's stuff, and he devoted a fair amount of time to Saudi intelligence and special forces.

This does not sound like their typical operation. Way too many people, site chosen which would call attention to the government, stupid rumors like bone saws and dismemberment, etc.

The guy could have been knifed on an Istanbul street with no one suspecting a thing. And why did the so-called girlfriend stand outside the consulate for so long? In fact, why didn't she go in with him, instead of standing on a Turkish street by herself?

If they needed to get information from him, why didn't they kidnap him and talk him to some remote corner of Istanbul?

There is actually no evidence that the guy is even dead. None. We have no body, no photos, no microscopic blood samples, nothing.

I always like to reflect on who benefits and who loses in something like this. Reading that Julian Castro made a comment that Kushner gave MSB a hit list sort of made me think that the is a democrat operation, since it seems as clumsy as the Russian hoax. ( "Let's not just say he was murdered, let's say he was dismembered! That will really get people upset!")

I'm not skeptical that MBS might have had a hand in having someone killed, whether was this dude or a hundred other people. KSA is a kingdom, not a democracy. If the king wants someone killed, they're drawn across a wooden block and their heads are chopped off.

People like Erdogan or Putin or Khameini or Maduro or Kim or Xi have their enemies killed all the time. Doesn't mean we can't have mutually beneficial relationships with them under the right conditions.

Romney's pompous demand for "withering sanctions" is insane.

Miss Marple

No, Thomas Collins.

Given the Russian hoax, I think he first thing to do is quit believing unnamed sources quoted by much of the media, primarily the Washington Post.

We do not have a body, photos, or bloodstains. Until I am shown evidence, there is no way for me to even believe the guy is dead.

Other possibilities:

1. He really is dead, but killed by the Turks elsewhere. (Doubtful in that he supported Erdogan, although they could have thought he was spying on them.)

2. He has been killed in an accident or street murder and MBS's enemies are trying to take advantage of it.

3. He has been kidnapped by the Saudis and is back in the kingdom. Or the Russians have him hoping to drive a wedge between the US and SA, so that Russia can claim the defense contracts when idiots like Lindsey Graham and Mitt Romney insist on cancelling our sales.

4. He is in hiding and is going to assume a new identity or surface as his own self with some wild story which will get him a hefty book advance.

Miss Marple

The CashHoggy Hoax is designed to put Trump in another pickle as prelude to the mid-terms and 2020.

CashHoggy is supposedly a "journalist." (Whatever happened to reporters?) Allegedly murdered b/c he is an enemy of the Saudi Kingdom. Trump has aligned the USA firmly with the Kingdom. Therefore the journalist was an enemy of the USA.

Trump has journalist enemies that he wants to kill.

There, disprove that! That's the name of that tune.

But the most stunning discovery about the life of O.C. Sarah Smith Crawford is that her husband, Ms. Warren’s great-great-great grandfather, was apparently a member of the Tennessee Militia who rounded up Cherokees from their family homes in the Southeastern United States and herded them into government-built stockades in what was then called Ross’s Landing (now Chattanooga), Tennessee–the point of origin for the horrific Trail of Tears, which began in January, 1837.

Jonathan Crawford, O.C. Sarah Smith Crawford’s husband and apparently Ms. Warren’s great-great-great grandfather, served in the East Tennessee Mounted Infantry Volunteer Militia commanded by Brigadier General R. G. Dunlap from late 1835 to late 1836. While under Dunlap’s command he was a member of Major William Lauderdale’s Battalion, and Captain Richard E. Waterhouse’s Company.

These were the troops responsible for removing Cherokee families from homes they had lived in for generations in the three states that the Cherokee Nations had considered their homelands for centuries: Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

So wait, you mean Elizabeth Warren’s ancestor BRUTALIZED Cherokee Indians?

It took two years to investigate Watergate - a simple burglary with only a small cast of characters. It took four years to investigate Whitewater - slightly more complex, and it took a few significant turns.

The Spygate scandal has a cast of dozens that we know about (possibly hundreds when it's all revealed), several of the most powerful government agencies on earth, and agencies of foreign governments, as well as corporate entities. Many of those individuals continue to hold power in various degrees, the agencies still exist (and are likely protecting their turf), and we have to deal with the fallout from our alleged allies. The process could take a few more days...

I don't think my ideas are any more fantastical than assuming that the Saudis sent 15 men into Turkey, let them wait in ambush at their own consulate, tortured and killed the guy, and then cut him up into pieces and smuggled him out.

This story came from the Turks, remember. Not exactly a trusted source.

Also, it has come to my attention that the missing journalist's Twitter account has been pretty much scrubbed.

Why is MY set of possibilities unbelievable, when we have Julian Castro telling CNN that Jared Kushner gave MSB a hit list and the missing reporter's name was on it? ( By the way, Thomas Collins, here is some proof the Dems ARE using this.). Turkey is pals with Iran, and Kerry's daughter married an Iranian.

Too many people buy into the media narrative and don't ask enough questions. My questions may be goofy, but at least I ask them.

JM Hanes

Thomas Collins:

I agree with Miss Marple, that you are taking a lot for granted which has come from sources that are either anonymous or have rather obvious axes to grind -- not to mention all the assertions which have been made and then walked back or retracted. I believe the 17 hitmen has problems as well. There is so much bafflegab floating around from almost all the parties doing the "reporting," that you end up having to be awfully selective about how much you accept from any one source, just to come up with any one plausbile scenario. I'd like 1 from column A, 3 from column B and 2 from column C, please. There is basically zero, indisputably established evidence, so it seems to me that what you're really arguing is that you since you can easily imagine the MBS scenario it is the most likely to be true. In the meantime, I think you seriously neglect the cui bono questions.

Erdogan is having a ball here. This is a guy who stoops to renaming streets just to flip off the U.S.

Turkey is renaming the street on which the new US Embassy will be built to Malcolm X Avenue after the American civil rights leader, state media reported this week.

Authorities in Turkey's capital, Ankara, announced Saturday that the city assembly accepted the name change unanimously, according to state-run media agency Anadolu....

….In February, Turkey renamed the road leading to the current US Embassy as Olive Branch Street. The name sounds peaceful on the surface but is actually a reference to Turkey's military operation in Syria, which the United States opposes.

You've also got Putin suddenly piping up about the dangerous accretion of American ethical "mistakes" in the region.

I'm not suggesting, nor do I believe Miss Marple is suggesting, that this operation was set up by Democrats, but they've been desperately seeking some kind of issue to knock the Kavanaugh madness off the front page, and guys like Brennan et al know just how to seize the moment. The Dems are attacking one of Trump's most significant successes in the middle east, his nascent anti-Iranian alliance of Saudi Arabia, Israel and the US. Do you think the Obama Dem machine, along with Russia, Iran, and Turkey wouldn't love to destroy that baby in its crib? It's major twofer for the Democrats. Make that a threefer if they can tie Jared Kushner to a condemned malefactor, and false reformer (!), in MSB -- which dovetails nicely into all the other Jared/Ivanka dirty laundry stories they've been pushing so hard lately.

I'm very disturbed to watch Republicans jump on the anti-Saudi bandwagon, and I was relieved to note Mnuchin (sp?) is going to attend the Saudi conference after all. I really didn't understand the original decision to leave MSB in the lurch on that.

JM Hanes - ChiTown Lurker says Mnuchin is going to the security conference, not the later investment conference others pulled out from.

Thomas Collins

I don't think I am taking for granted that the news reports are true, KK. I am piecing (probably an unfortunate phrase if reports of how K-Man died are true) the news reports with the evolving statements of Trump and what I had read about MBS prior to this event, along with my understanding of Machiavelli. But for any of my friends here who might think I am taken in by Oligarch Media's reports in this matter, I have a question: Is it possible that your piecing together the threads is affected by your disgust at the way Oligarch Media is using this to attack Trump? I too am disgusted by how this is being played in Oligarch Media, but the evolving position of the Administration suggests to me that the raw facts of what happened are consistent with Oligarch Media's articles.

Here's a question re the place of the attack: If this were done in the US and one or more innocent bystanders were killed or injured, wouldn't Saudi Arabia be in even hotter water now?

Miss Marple

maryrose,

I am tired of your constant attacks and am going to answer back. I have realized that ignoring you doesn't work.

Here is the deal. We don't have any evidence. None. So until we do, I am not believing the guy is dead.

Now, President Trump may have intelligence which leads him to the conclusion that the guy is dead. Or maybe he is currently accepting Turkey's report for reasons we don't know.

When the democrats funded a fake dossier about hookers peeing on a bed and blamed it on Russians, MY theories don't look that weird. Unless Trump had won the election, none of these interconnections and criminal activities would have been uncovered, and a lot of people, including you, would have been believing the media narrative about Trump being in bed with the Russians.

Spare me. I have been watching politics for 50 years and I still can be surprised and astounded at what crap the democrats will pull.

You, however, being a so-called expert, have a failure of imagination.

Bernardi Dr la paz

Trump can't prevail over the Deep State coup simply by defeating Mueller and the DOJ complex.

Trump's election victory spoiled plans made around the world to support a Clinton victory for one-world regulatory state rule.

i'm of the goofy opinion (h/t MM) that POTUS is engaged in bringing down more than Mueller et al, as they are merely the Praetorian Guard of the Deep State.

each of his major accomplishments reflects progress against the Deep State infrastructure of agreements put in place or being ramped for such settings after "her" election.

watching the DS react to accomplishments signals how the Mueller Hoax is being used (not approving it, using it) as a diversion while REAL accomplishments are pillory moves against the Swamp.

the CashHoggy story is a DS reaction to the absolute recalibration of Middle East power against Iran and pro-US.

the pearl clutching over "the trade war" with Communist China is a DS reaction to the cash flow crunch being felt by Feinstein et alia.

but Americans are picking up on this Communist China routine. a small water purification manufacturer recently negotiated a 30 million unit production deal with the ChiComs puppet company.

one of the terms the Americans shitcanned was the insistence of the ChiComs that the manufacturing be done in China. the Americans told them to pound sand: you want the units, we makey here.

that hurts the Deep State: they can no longer guarantee delivery on business intelligence and intellectual property which the ChiComs abscond with over and over again, once US manufacturers (and other countries) do business there.

the Deep State will not be beaten by court decisions. they will be rooted out when they can no longer convince their out-of-country cronies that they can overthrow any administration that isn't playing by globalist one-world "rules."

betcher ass it will take more than 2 years.

Like they’re going to go, ooh Trump supports Saudi Arabia against Iran but SA might have killed K-what’s his name so I’m going to vote for the mob party who wants to raise my taxes and take away my nice new job.

Waste what's left of your miserable life, fool.

MM:
I will see your 50 years and raise you ten.
I have been interested in politics since I was 10 years old and JFK was running for President .

I am not insulting you when I challenge your assertions often made with certainty on this blog.
I would never have believed the Russia hotel story because I am not s stupid person.
I will not handle you with kid gloves because I see us as equals in life experience and both educated capable people.
If any other poster floats an idea I think is goofy I will question it.
Your tales of blackmail and secret plots just don’t pass the Occam’s razor test.
I agree with TC and not you.
It is not a big deal, just a difference of opinion.
I smog the opinion that President Trump is blowing a great opportunity to silence the Dems and undercut them at the midterms.
Because I don’t always agree with him doesn’t make me the villain.
I think the foot dragging has gone on long enough and currently see no good reason for it.
Declassify now.

"[Trump] continues to act more like the Saudis’ lawyer in the court of world opinion than the aggrieved defender of human rights and free speech that American Presidents are supposed to be at such moments. "

taking up the American-as-apple-pie role of defending of "human rights," "freedom of speech and the press."

Which is kind of hilarious since the press hasn't quite covered themselves in glory the past few years. Most people hate them.
