First?

henry

We have to endure 30 more hours of Murk & Collins before Daines matters.

Captain Hate

Porch,

Everything you said about Double E is true. The way I prefer to think of it is a massive kick in the balls for Patterico, which means a glancing blow to the chops of DCSCA.

jimmyk

So Murkowski has "emotional" meeting with (claimed) victims of sex assault. Perhaps she she should have a meeting with victims of false accusations. I suspect Paul Nungesser or Col. David Riggins would be happy to talk with her.

Tom R

Milano puts on a good acting performance.

From behind me, I felt a hand up my skirt and I was punched repeatedly in the vagina,” she said.

Seriously? Who is stupid enough to believe that? If she would have said someone tried to feel her up that would have been believable. Saying someone reached under her skirt and repeatedly punched her in the crotch triggers my Bullshit Detector.

Captain Hate

Murkowski is officially Ms. Meathead.

DebinGA

Milano sheds tears, or pretends to, but didn't even make her own sign.

hrtshpdbox

It must be pretty awful to be a Dem right now; just a year ago, things looked pretty good for them. Rex Tillerson was trying to deny he'd called Trump a moron. Everything looked aces with Mueller's investigation, with Manafort about to be indicted and Papadopolous about to plead guilty. A year ago today Trump's approval average at RCP was 39.2%. Dems, a year ago, could imagine the biggest and bluest of waves at election 2018. I'd feel bad for the Dems if I could stop laughing.

Jim Eagle

Isn't Red State EE's website? I think it is monetized, and no doubt his #NeverTrump schtick, is affecting the site's income.

Momto2

I for one am permanently disgusted with EE. He is a local and I listened to him for years on WSB radio in Atlanta. He (amid much fanfare) uninvited President Trump to an event during the campaign. He then turned into a totally deranged, shrill anti-Trumper with a huge bullhorn.

He has spent hundreds of hours spewing his vitriol against our President over the airways. Just think of the people he may have influenced. Any and every so-called "scandal" was an opportunity for him to pile on with glee in his voice.

I got the point where I would turn off the radio if he was just on for a commercial. His little girly voice (not quite as bad as CBF but nearly) grates on my nerves.

So now, after all these months and months of failed attempts to discredit and damage our President, he decides "oops! - never mind!"

I'm not buying it! /rant over

Beasts of England

The Morning Report has a video of ChiFi. Ho Lee Shit!! Devastating. But, at least it shows she has a conscience.

narciso

Going further laufman started out as company analyst, then congressional staff with it an contra and October surprise then ended up at main justice counter Intel,

Czernovich suspected he was a leaker but I had to take out the Ouija board to figure out why.

narciso

Well he got on my ouvno lost when he taunted the hundreds over her decision not to make a bid for higher office, leaving out the psycho stalker perched on her back porch.

Captain Hate

Isn't Red State EE's website? I think it is monetized, and no doubt his #NeverTrump schtick, is affecting the site's income.

It *was* his website until he sold it. Then he and Patterico used to be guest contributors until the blog owner told both of them to take a hike because their NeverTrump rants were hurting traffic. Nifong Junior is still butthurt over that.

Miss Marple

Beasts,

I think it shows fear.

Dave (in MA)

When Olympia Snowe retired, did she pass a feather to Murkowski?

Porchlight

Yes, Cap'n, it's nice to see EE bend the knee if only to enjoy the effect on Patterico.

Porchlight

And re: me dropping the f bomb - maybe not here very often, but plenty on T_D. :)

Porchlight

Here is that DiFi crying video again - so great:

https://twitter.com/zyntrax/status/1047924429127389184

This was after reading the FBI report yesterday.

Dave (in MA)

One never wants to find himself on narciso's ouvno lost, that's for certain.

Captain Hate

Beasts,

I almost felt sorry for that witch while watching that. That is a Game Over look from the not winning side.

Porchlight

Flake just said he's a yes tomorrow. For what that's worth.

Porchlight

Sorry Beasts, didn't see your link above to the video.

Worth posting twice. :)

Beasts of England

A lot of fear, Miss Marple. But people without a conscience don't fear a potential backlash. They just don't care.

Beasts of England

Yes it was, Porch!! 👊🏼

matt - deplore me if you must

I don't know who EE is but it would seem I shouldn't really care anyway.

So, now we have more than one witness who was tampered with/threatened and a retired FBI official (BFF with Ford) coaching her on the letter.

Someone has got to go down with this one. It looks like a win for the good guys.

Captain Hate

Typhus must not like Gab links

Thomas Wictor reports that not only did Twitter suspend him for his Alyssa Milano thread, but - get this - they reported him to the FBI!

And boy did it fail.

Momto2

Sorry, matt - EE = Erick Erickson

Stephanie, Nene, Not your Normal Grandma

You know it would be funny as hell if ChiFi's attempts to take down K and by extension Trump by by using some of the folks responsible for Russia Russia Russia results in the exposure of ALL of it due to the little FBI guys carrying out the demands of ChiFi in a final blow to the cabal. It would cause the schadenfreude to schadenfreude...

Doesn't speak too well of the feminists ability to govern, either. Incompetents all.

Momto2

I hope she is right -

Margot Cleveland
@ProfMJCleveland

Just dawned on me: The Left's game is up. Social media's ability to refute MSM's narratives quickly and thoroughly will prevent Dems from winning by peddling falsehoods. This reality will extend much beyond Kavanaugh.

Extraneus

Daines is the kind of schmuck who'd upstage his daughter at her own wedding.

Tom R

Social media's ability to refute MSM's narratives quickly and thoroughly will prevent Dems from winning by peddling falsehoods.

That is why conservatives are getting banned left and right on Twitter and Reddit. After the midterms Trump and Congress need to do something that prevents the Progressive-controlled social media sites from engaging in blatant censorship.

Extraneus

Btw, how do we know that video of Feinstein was really taken directly after she viewed the FBI "report"? Because a Twitter account called zyntrax said so?

jimmyk

Social media's ability to refute MSM's narratives quickly and thoroughly will prevent Dems from winning by peddling falsehoods.

Well there's always vote fraud.

Another Bob

Murk and Collins are likely no votes.

jimmyk

Trump and Congress need to do something that prevents the Progressive-controlled social media sites from engaging in blatant censorship.

I suspect all they can do is see that they lose their protections for defamation suits from their status as conduits, as I believe was discussed recently. If they are selecting what they publish then they have to be responsible for it.

In any case, they are ultimately digging their own graves, as CNN has discovered.

jimmyk

A/B at 12:42, is that just your opinion or do you have a source?

Another Bob

Milano got an envelope from Jackson-Lee.

Captain Hate

One final thing on Erickson. I think the entire nomination of Kavanaugh, really a GOPe type of nominee, by DJT was strategically brilliant and incredibly dumb by the donks to choose this hill to make a stand. It got GWB on board to stump for someone and got the Ericksons to see the Stalinist alternative which their prolonged tantrum enabled.

Kudos to DJT, Angry Turtle and Grassley.

JM Hanes

Shoot, I was just willowing along on the previous thread. To repeat myself:

Murkowski and Collins are both announcing their votes at 3:00PM? So who's going to be holding whose hand?

I'm thinking maybe this time Collins will be protecting Murkowki from Feinstein.

Momto2

Now she is unsure again (Murkowski).

JM Hanes

Beasts:

I don't think the video shows a woman with a conscience. I think it shows a woman who realizes she has lost it all.

sbwaters

Davis Chavern, the president and CEO of the News Media Alliance, wants newspapers to support the “Journalism Competition and Preservation Act of 2018” HR.5190 that would protect them from anti-trust laws as they try to coerce better deals from Google and Facebook.

I don’t think there is a good guy in this shootout.

sbwaters

David

Extraneus

Murkowski and Collins both know about the witness tampering. Surely they also know McLean's history and that McLean has been coaching Fraud through this whole charade. And they know that people will find out that they knew all this before the vote.

Puts them in an uncomfortable position if they want to vote no.

MAM

I haven't posted in more than a year, but I've lurked. My fear that I will be disappointed by two "R" women has never been greater. I'm getting a pit in my stomach that Collins will vote "no" tomorrow (or Sunday) which means Manchin will vote no to kill the nomination. My heart breaks for Judge Kavanaugh because he put himself and his family on the line for this and the Republican party can't hang tough. So proud that President Trump showed his loyalty. If Judge K goes down, shame on any R who votes no. By the way, JOM keeps me sane in crazy Massachusetts. Thanks to you all.

narciso

Meanwhile who is diubleunplusgoid in this saga, getting the eich trap door set under him, Joel kaplan.

Dave (in MA)

Even JOM can't keep me sane.

From T_D, cannot confirm:

According to C-Span the White House expects a "yes" from Manchin and Collins.

Porchlight

So, if it goes as JOM predicted plus current input:

Manchin and Collins lockstep yes
Murk no
Flake yes

Assuming all else stays the same, Kav gets in 51-49.

But will Manchin be willing to be the vote that puts the Rs over the top?

If not, Pence breaks the tie.

Miss Marple

Further Twitter (or iPad) weirdness. I discovered that the feed does NOT lock up if I hold the iPad in the vertical instead of horizontal position.

If you want to post a link to gab, copy the link, feed it into www.tinyurl.com, get a substitute link, and then post it here.

squaredance

Ext: they will not be "uncomfortable" at all. They could not care less what decent people think--if considerations of ethics and morality have any play at all in their "decisions" they are those of the fake PC dream world they inhabit. This is made clear by them clinging to the notion that when a man makes a pass at a women that woman is now a "survivor of sexual assault" or that these paid communist agitators are such victims. Rational actors would decry such preposterous nonsense for what it is.

But I really doubt that they are taken in by it. Perhaps Collins is a misguided but honest actor in all this, but certainly not M.

They can vote no, get hounded out of office and find a nice, cushy spot in the Niomenklatura.

They are signal examples of just what is wrong with politics today.

Another Bob

Jimmy, mostly opinion.

Didn’t think they’d make early announcements, and expose themselves to the mobs, if they were voting yes.

Sandy Daze

The Lindsay Graham strategy in the advent of a Kavanaugh defeat (announced last weekend but given little airtime) is for DJT to immediately re-nominate Kavanaugh immediately after (if !) defeat in the Senate.

Asked about this, DJT said it was an interesting strategy, but that his belief was that Kavanaugh would be approved through the Senate.

I think this is a brilliant idea, and would result in a red tsunami, were it needed.

In fact, part of me wants this to occur, would prefer this to occur.

MAGA

Miss Marple

Why are all of these demonstrators being allowed into the Capitol Building, many with backpacks?

This seems to me to be a huge security risk.

What are the rules on this?

Marlene

Hello from the road! I’ve been reading JOM to hubby while he drives. We both have a spidey sense that Collins is going to announce no. Hope we are wrong.

Extraneus

Didn’t think they’d make early announcements, and expose themselves to the mobs, if they were voting yes.

That makes sense, Bob.

Jim Eagle

Evidently, Murkowski & Collins will not be needing any EPA or Corp of Engineering approvals for their donor's pet project, or some increase in highway funding, or educational grants, etc. that DJT can smother with a pillow. I wonder if the Turtle has any reserve of majority leader revenge left.

The Daily Mail has photos and a story about McConnel's daughter and Son-in-Law not supporting Kavanaugh. It's worth visiting the site just to see the photos of them [all apples not falling far from the tree]

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6237459/Mitch-McConnell-family-blasts-Supreme-Court-nominee-Brett-Kavanaugh-Republicans.html

matt - deplore me if you must

The preponderance of evidence against Ford has risen to a very high level. How could anyone in their right mind vote against Kavnaugh now.

The "tell" is Schumer's and Feinstein's reactions after seeing the FBI report. They were flummoxed. They spouted pap. There was nothing they could say except what they did.

And if the 302's do indicate that Ford's other BFF was pressuring Keyser to change her testimony that is a huge problem for the Dems.

I just posted something similar on FB to Mom2's post. This is going to blow up against not only the Dems, but their media allies as well.

Kavanaugh may or may not be confirmed tomorrow, but the jig is up on their web of lies.

I have been getting lots of FB posts asking me to donate to Dems, probably because I am baiting their supporters, and in looking at a lot of the campaigns, the Republicans have either a lead or are even. With the bias of the polls that has been exhibited to date, I would say those Repubs are ahead.

The Republican base is, I think, electrified by this travesty of justice. I think lot of undecideds are or will be shortly as well. The Dems violated every norm of justice and fair play.

Extraneus
"[I] took the very, very difficult vote that I did. I believe that Brett Kavanaugh is a good man. I believe he is a good man it just may be that in my view he's not the right man for the court at this time," said Murkowski.

...

"I believe we are dealing with issues right now that are bigger than a nominee and how we ensure that our institutions, not only the legislative branch but our judicial branch, continue to be respected. This is what I've been wrestling with," Murowski added.

"But if people who are victims, people who feel that they're is no fairness in our system of government, particularly within our courts, we've gone down a path that is not good and right for this country," she said.

The Hill:

Hundreds of female attorneys urged Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska) to vote against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

More than 350 attorneys made the request in a joint letter sent to the Republican senators, according to the Daily News-Miner.

How about the rest of the fracking state of Trump supporters, Lisa? *Less* than 350? What a loser.

The photo of Lisa being bullied by Feinstein should be used in all election campaigns *against* her.

Porchlight

Heavens above, Murkowski is a stupid, stupid woman.

Beasts of England

I will take that under advisement, JM Hanes! :)

Stephanie, Nene, Not your Normal Grandma

Holy shit the responses on that twit feed at 1:16.

Beasts of England

Maybe we need an executive order to ban all drilling in Alaska?

FFFFF

What do you call 350 Alaskan lefty attorneys at the bottom of the Bering Sea?

Frau Schmeissen Sie das Schwein 'raus!

If Murkowski votes no, I hope Feinstein's apparition continues to scare the peewaddens out of her nightly for the rest of her life.

fdcol63 🇺🇸

It may be the Dems' strategy .... at this point, since all else has failed, to force a tie and a Pence vote to affirm.

That way, they can at least claim that the Kavanaugh confirmation was a purely partisan vote.

Sue

If this “event” was no big deal to Leland then it means Ford regularly ran out of parties leaving her alone with 4 guys and never checking to see if she got home herself without being raped. The bitch is lying.

Who owns Murkowski in Alaska? How does that squish keep getting elected?

Appalled

Suggestion -- Look to see if Murkowski proves to be the decisive vote. If she is -- things get interesting. If not -- there was a horse trade made, and Murkowski is allowed to vote no to appease the native american / inuit community.

fdcol63 🇺🇸

Murk: "But if people who are victims, people who feel that they're is no fairness in our system of government, particularly within our courts, we've gone down a path that is not good and right for this country," she said.

But it's okay to overturn the most basic tenet of our judicial system - the presumption of innocence until proven guilt - and trash the redemptive belief that people can change for the better after high school and a 25-year career and life of demonstrated ability and civic service solely over some unsubstantiated allegations.

You stupid bitch.

Tom R

Murkowski is allowed to vote no to appease the native american / inuit community.

Why exactly would the Eskimos be against Kavanaugh?

cathyf

Murkowski's support among the Inuit is totally about pork -- she brings home the bacon. It needs to be very very very clear to everyone in Alaska that they are from this day forward completely cut off from all pork. The Congress can pass it, but the Executive Branch actually cuts and signs the checks, and from here on out the paperwork is going to be "lost". (You know those civil servants... Can't be fired...)

Frau Schmeissen Sie das Schwein 'raus!

350+ native American/inuit attorneys? You don't say!

If federal perks for AL dry up, the citizens will not think kindly of Murkowski.

Tom R,

He evidently has some history in re Native American claims, and voting against them.

Miss Marple

Why do the Inuit care?

Extraneus

I think she's holding out for a bribe.

lyle

The bitch is lying.

It’s what I’ve maintained all along, Sue.

Miss Marple

Jack,

Thanks! You posted while I was typing my question!

Extraneus

It's the last one she'll ever get because Rs will increase in the Senate and she can no longer run this play.

Sue

Because Kavanaugh voted with Garland 93% of the time I’ve had reservations about him. Thanks to Democrats I’m a ride or die Kavanaugh supporter. Is that what democrats wanted?

Miss Marple

Daughter texted me that everyone was asking for extra money because she is American.

I texted back that that extra money is referred to as bribes, and that is what you get in a Third Wold country.

I also told her to be careful and not make anyone mad.

Extraneus

It's hard to interpret that stat, Sue. As I understand it, most of the judges at that level usually agree. It's the other 7% that I'd want to know about.

Momto2

Stephanie - I follow MM's suggestion to not read the comments. They are *always* 100% anti-Trump on almost every tweet. It has to be a Soros-type effort because there are many thousands of Trump supporters on Twitter. The supportive comments are way down in the list if they appear at all.

Eye Doctor .

The corruption in the DoJ is more wide spread than most can imagine.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Jim Eagle

If Murk and Collins are nos but Manchin is a yes, then its 50/50 unless Daines doesn't make it back, right? Pence is the tie breaker. But if Manchin decides to give up his Senate gig and vote No, its not Kavanaugh's best day.

I don't know what Trump has in mind as far as bribes go, but I think he is not the bribing kind but the "get even" kind of guy. Not good for Alaska and Maine.

derwill

Marist poll says Dems have lost 21% from suburban women in last two weeks.

I don’t think this is what they had in mind when they started this shite show.

Just heard from UGA:

Pick her up at 5. Her Xray from Aug v her xray today showed changes, inflamed intestine and lymph nodes around it, could be Irritable Bowel (treatable by our vet) or cancer ($3K per treatment which we can't afford), but they mildly sedated her and sent samples to pathology for final results. She also has extra 'fluid' in her abdomen from the irritation. So now we wait and go pick her up.

Miss Marple

Correct, Momto2.

I only read those because they showed up when I connected to the tweet.

I usually avoid them. If you argue with them they will swarm your feed and try to get you suspended.
