It's on to the final vote! Sen. Daines (a Yes vote) has to walk his daughter down the aisle and deliver the Father of the Bride speech on Saturday but that may not be an issue:
Republican Senator Steve Daines said he plans to attend his daughter's wedding in Montana on Saturday, the same day the Senate may vote to confirm nominee Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
In a statement to The Associated Press, Daines said he will walk his daughter down the aisle for her wedding. He also predicted there would be a new Supreme Court justice. (Daines has supported Kavanaugh throughout the process.)
In an interview with CNN, Daines said GOP leaders may hold open the confirmation vote overnight to allow him to return from Montana to Washington to vote.
"We're taking it a day at a time to see what happens," Daines told CNN.
The 30 hour Cloture Clock expires at 4:52 Saturday afternoon, if I am hearing Fox News correctly.

So Murkowski has "emotional" meeting with (claimed) victims of sex assault. Perhaps she she should have a meeting with victims of false accusations. I suspect Paul Nungesser or Col. David Riggins would be happy to talk with her.

It must be pretty awful to be a Dem right now; just a year ago, things looked pretty good for them. Rex Tillerson was trying to deny he'd called Trump a moron. Everything looked aces with Mueller's investigation, with Manafort about to be indicted and Papadopolous about to plead guilty. A year ago today Trump's approval average at RCP was 39.2%. Dems, a year ago, could imagine the biggest and bluest of waves at election 2018. I'd feel bad for the Dems if I could stop laughing.

I for one am permanently disgusted with EE. He is a local and I listened to him for years on WSB radio in Atlanta. He (amid much fanfare) uninvited President Trump to an event during the campaign. He then turned into a totally deranged, shrill anti-Trumper with a huge bullhorn.
He has spent hundreds of hours spewing his vitriol against our President over the airways. Just think of the people he may have influenced. Any and every so-called "scandal" was an opportunity for him to pile on with glee in his voice.
I got the point where I would turn off the radio if he was just on for a commercial. His little girly voice (not quite as bad as CBF but nearly) grates on my nerves.
So now, after all these months and months of failed attempts to discredit and damage our President, he decides "oops! - never mind!"
I'm not buying it! /rant over

Just dawned on me: The Left's game is up. Social media's ability to refute MSM's narratives quickly and thoroughly will prevent Dems from winning by peddling falsehoods. This reality will extend much beyond Kavanaugh.

That is why conservatives are getting banned left and right on Twitter and Reddit. After the midterms Trump and Congress need to do something that prevents the Progressive-controlled social media sites from engaging in blatant censorship.

I suspect all they can do is see that they lose their protections for defamation suits from their status as conduits, as I believe was discussed recently. If they are selecting what they publish then they have to be responsible for it.
In any case, they are ultimately digging their own graves, as CNN has discovered.

One final thing on Erickson. I think the entire nomination of Kavanaugh, really a GOPe type of nominee, by DJT was strategically brilliant and incredibly dumb by the donks to choose this hill to make a stand. It got GWB on board to stump for someone and got the Ericksons to see the Stalinist alternative which their prolonged tantrum enabled.
Kudos to DJT, Angry Turtle and Grassley.

Ext: they will not be "uncomfortable" at all. They could not care less what decent people think--if considerations of ethics and morality have any play at all in their "decisions" they are those of the fake PC dream world they inhabit. This is made clear by them clinging to the notion that when a man makes a pass at a women that woman is now a "survivor of sexual assault" or that these paid communist agitators are such victims. Rational actors would decry such preposterous nonsense for what it is.
But I really doubt that they are taken in by it. Perhaps Collins is a misguided but honest actor in all this, but certainly not M.
They can vote no, get hounded out of office and find a nice, cushy spot in the Niomenklatura.

The Lindsay Graham strategy in the advent of a Kavanaugh defeat (announced last weekend but given little airtime) is for DJT to immediately re-nominate Kavanaugh immediately after (if !) defeat in the Senate.
Asked about this, DJT said it was an interesting strategy, but that his belief was that Kavanaugh would be approved through the Senate.
I think this is a brilliant idea, and would result in a red tsunami, were it needed.
In fact, part of me wants this to occur, would prefer this to occur.

The preponderance of evidence against Ford has risen to a very high level. How could anyone in their right mind vote against Kavnaugh now.
The "tell" is Schumer's and Feinstein's reactions after seeing the FBI report. They were flummoxed. They spouted pap. There was nothing they could say except what they did.
And if the 302's do indicate that Ford's other BFF was pressuring Keyser to change her testimony that is a huge problem for the Dems.
I just posted something similar on FB to Mom2's post. This is going to blow up against not only the Dems, but their media allies as well.
Kavanaugh may or may not be confirmed tomorrow, but the jig is up on their web of lies.
I have been getting lots of FB posts asking me to donate to Dems, probably because I am baiting their supporters, and in looking at a lot of the campaigns, the Republicans have either a lead or are even. With the bias of the polls that has been exhibited to date, I would say those Repubs are ahead.
The Republican base is, I think, electrified by this travesty of justice. I think lot of undecideds are or will be shortly as well. The Dems violated every norm of justice and fair play.

Murk: "But if people who are victims, people who feel that they're is no fairness in our system of government, particularly within our courts, we've gone down a path that is not good and right for this country," she said.
But it's okay to overturn the most basic tenet of our judicial system - the presumption of innocence until proven guilt - and trash the redemptive belief that people can change for the better after high school and a 25-year career and life of demonstrated ability and civic service solely over some unsubstantiated allegations.

Murkowski's support among the Inuit is totally about pork -- she brings home the bacon. It needs to be very very very clear to everyone in Alaska that they are from this day forward completely cut off from all pork. The Congress can pass it, but the Executive Branch actually cuts and signs the checks, and from here on out the paperwork is going to be "lost". (You know those civil servants... Can't be fired...)
