Trump has turned this Kavanaugh fiasco into a big positive for the GOP. If it is a choice between getting Kavanaugh confirmed or keeping the House and picking up seats in the Senate, Trump prefers the latter. He will use a Kavanugh rejection to motivate the base and many independents (based on the way the Dems acted during this whole process) to vote GOP.

Specialty vet services are a major budget buster. A few years ago when we stayed with our younger daughter on Long Island, the grounds were a tick haven and Maggie picked up something because she was totally listless after we got home. It was so bad she almost collapsed in the back yard. We took her to our regular vet and she said it was out of her area of expertise and referred us to the emergency clinic. I knew it would cost out the wazz but our dogs are family. They gave her an antibiotic that brought her back but not 100%; more like 85-90. Just got a call from UGA. She definitely has an inflammation of some sort. Bloodwork is back and WBC are at 19K which is better than the 30K in August, but still elevated. Temp still in the 102-103 range (normal is 99 for a dog). Giving her fluids. Couldn't check her urine as she is still dehydrated. Internal Med Spec to call in the morning with next step. They aren't putting her on antibiotics til they figure out what is causing the inflammation.
I'll check it out, Catsmeat, thanks. He was a very prolific writer and all of it entertainingly readable.

Chuck Schumer Today: Senate Minority Leader Schumer said he disagreed with Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, who said that there was "no hint of misconduct" in the report.
Chuck Schumer in 2011: Sen. Chuck Schumer said he doesn’t think his fellow New York Democrat Rep. Anthony Weiner had anything to do with the picture of a man’s erect penis underneath gray boxer-briefs sent from Weiner’s official Twitter account Friday night.

“I don’t know the details, but I know him to be a person of integrity and I am virtually certain he had nothing to do with this.”

If the super collidor doesn't turn the universe into something the size of a soccer field, I suppose London underwater or the MOD can keep alive our neurotic fears.

BTW do you realize how hard it is for me to even type UGA? ;) What's the Good Word?

That story was the plot of a very weak murdee mystery set in London in the 00s. Split second with rutger hauer I think, back around 1992.

OK. Under the assumption that Kav is in, and given there’s realization among sone dems that they let the progs screw them, what happens next?
Proceed to impeach Kav as discussed? GLWT.
Do The Notorious RBG, Wide Latina and Kagan organize some inside-the-court difficulties for Kav? Nah. Recall that Kagan hired hm at Harvard.
Bait Trump into unwise comments and actions by going after his parents via a series of tax stories? Maybe.
Do we get a great reveal of the coup plotters?
Figures to be an interesting October?

I would’ve lost the bet if someone told me someone would mention Mishawaka on this blog. I hated going there to play football in HS.
Pin,
That guy in Mesa needs a boulder dropped on his head.
