OK, we're settling in for a long march to... well, I guess we'll all find out where when we get there.
I do think that in terms of brand extension and cross-marketing opportunities, Rachel should think about bottling her tears. The 2016 vintage would have been priceless. My goodness, late in the evening of Trump Ascendant she rambled on about uncounted votes here and a recount there and a possible landing by extra-terrestials on the Washington Mall all taking us to a Hillary victory. The look on co-anchor Brian Williams face was priceless - reflective, pentitent, and clearly revisiting the life choices that had led him to this moment.
If we can get another 2012 Megyn Kelly type moment when the Foxies got in Karl Rove's face on behalf of their Decision Desk, I will pay extra.
And remember, we are all Americans: E Deploribus Unum.
Key early results will come from states with early-ish poll closing:
- Indiana and Kentucky, where polls close at 6 p.m. ET, could offer early clues as to whether either party is making strides towards a total sweep of Congress in Tuesday's midterms.
- Early races in Florida and Virginia will also be important in showing whether the consensus view holds and Democrats take the House, while the GOP holds or adds to its Senate majority.
- Stocks could rally if there's a GOP surge— or red wave — and some strategists see a big decline if Democrats over come the odds and take both the House and Senate.
Indiana features a key Senate race: Braun (R) v. Donnelley (D) is rated a toss-up.
HOUR BY HOUR: The NY Post breaks it down. By this time the NY Times needle should be moving. And hiding!
The NY Times is hiding their needles here.
I UNDERSTOOD THERE WOULD BE NO MAPS: Yeah, that would be this Indiana. Or the other one. I guess we know why CNN never found that missing Malaysian airliner.
TM, you are a prince among minutemen.
