TM, you are a prince among minutemen.

matt - deplore me if you must

Health care? It had very little publicity in California.

henry

here is one results page:

https://results.decisiondeskhq.com

DrJ

daddy, thanks for the update on the Telegraph area. It has been a while since I have been there, but it already was turning more into standard mass-market fare. I'l have to visit again to see.

Extraneus

https://results.decisiondeskhq.com/

Extraneus

Ooops, didn't see you there, On-ree, as they say en français.

Extraneus

According to that Decision Desk link, the first battleground House seat has the D leading.

Extraneus

Braun up if that link is accurate.

henry

And Braun leading... time will tell..

Some idiot from CA is making attempts at a rolling donut. LOL

henry

note from the Chitown Lurker:

That last one from TM is hysterical. Ask MM how much it cost to move to Kentucky and when’s her Derby Party start?

Extraneus

You should stick to one name tonight, sicko. Maybe some people wouldn't killfile you. You obviously have no friends to watch the election results with.

Pinandpuller

Did you guys see Black LA HS Band Teacher vs Punk Ass Cholo?

The teacher got arrested but he's raised $75k. I wonder which ADA draws that case?

https://youtu.be/2cO8wH9N1IQ

Dorothy Jane

Drudge already out there with the Siren claiming democrat victory in the multitudes. I hate Drudge anymore.

Tom Maguire

The NY Times site was the best in 2016 (IMHO) and it looks pretty useful tonight.

The Fox Derision Desk is utterly cryptic to me right now but maybe it will make more sense as results come in.

PDinDetroit

What the heck happened to Fox News? Seems like hedging the bets is the default...

Extraneus

That Decision Desk site has 2 battleground IN House seats and one KY all with D leading.

Dave Seville

Stupid, crazy, white, prog chick on that Phillip Reines thread MM linked last thread;

Trump is counting on Russia’s help to rig the booths as they did in the 2016 prez election. They flipped just enough votes on a precinct by precinct level to eek out an EC victory as per data provided by Cambridge Analytica.

Funny black dude responds;

Yep, you’re right. They were in my booth when I was voting. My hand went to vote for Hillary then all of a sudden....BAM! I was voting for Trump. Thank heaven the Russians were there to keep me from making a huge mistake!

--------peter

Big push on twitter by some of the commie pols I follow for election "reform" in New York, including "automatic registration." No thank you.

Janet

repost -
My best MAGA friend voted for the first time today. From Spain & recently got his American citizenship.
Straight R ticket!

The only polling firm that had Trump winning Pennsylvania and Michigan in 2016. #ElectionDay

Governor
• Ron DeSantis: 50%
• Andrew Gillum: 46.6%

Senate
• Rick Scott: 49%
• Bill Nelson: 47.3%

Dave Seville

Some here are sounding a little cocky...kinda like Dems in 2016.
Bad ju ju.

Dave (in MA)

Twas more crowded than I've ever seen before at my polling station.

henry

Polls and exit polls only drive ratings. Accuracy is AGW Climate Model level bunk,

Extraneus

Decision Desk is showing a bunch more House races, none of the battlegrounds looking D. Just that one IN-2 from before.

Extraneus

They have FL Senate with R leading.

Marlene

Good evening! We just returned from Jane's election happy hour(s). Thanks Jane! What a great group of people.

Elliott sans avatar

It is intriguing that DeSantis is outpacing Scott so far.

Barbara

Polls and exit polls only drive ratings.

Henry,

That's reassuring because I believe that the media is going to flood the air with D predictions for at least the next 2-3 hours.

henry

Barbara, they already are flooding the airwaves with blue wave. Drudge has joined them. I have no idea, except Dem GOTV was in overdrive. Gotta wait for results.

Kevlar Kid

FWIW: BART is pretty clean these days. I rode it to SFO from North Berkeley with a transfer near downtown Oakland... that station was outdoor, litter and vagrant free, and no sign of any loaf pinching inside or outside of any of the cars.

Extraneus

I don't understand that Decision Desk thingy either, but NYT has FL Senate neck and neck with 2% reporting.

https://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/florida-senate

Jane#walkaway

Not on Fox. It's early but we are winning.

Dave (in MA)

Not sure if FB pix show up here,

Jack is Back!

Since we will have to put up with effluent overflow on this blog for the election results, I am moving to another more protected site. Wish TM could do the same here. It truly ruins the home town friendly experience you have come to expect.

Maybe the results will discourage him/it from posting but I doubt it. He wins. I am leaving for other environs. Enjoy the sewer.

Sue

Early votes are entirely counted in Hillsborough County, home to Tampa. (346,000 votes)

Senate
Nelson: 55.09%
Scott: 44.61%

Governor
Gillum: 54.94%
DeSantis: 43.77%

Berkeley used book scene: if i want to tear my hair out over traffic in downtown Berkeley my go to is Pegasus Books on Shattuck.

There are 8 mini-free library installations within a 5 block radius of our home on Euclid Avenue.

Anya walks recently netted "Dog Lover's Guide to the Bay Area". the Complete Works of Samuel Johnson, and Black Rain (post-Hiroshima tale from a Japanese citizen's point of view).

i am dropping books in these mini-libraries each week from my yuge collections in cultural affairs, foreign policy, anthro, native american law and culture, online business, and copywriting. gotta thin the herd. they don't last long in these mini-braries.

Sue

McGrath is winning in KY6.

Pinandpuller

Johnny Lydon's first job was a Rat Basher in the sewers of London. It could be a ceremonial position.

Kevlar Kid

some smart glassed progtardo c*cks*cker on MSNBC is talking like a kentucky burley auctioneer on methedrine. loud. abnoxious. and damned sure of a blue wave building.

made the claim that 8 million votes will be cast in the Cruz vs Peckerhead race in Tejas--- "a rather obvious oversight by the Cruz campaign which predicted it would be a 6 million vote race."

oh. Blue wave fersherr there, Pudmo.

they are just gushing over the blowout that is in the making.

there is nothing newsworthy. not even "there are tons of people voting here in East BumF*ck. and our informal conversations tell us it is a BLUE WAVE."

gag them and hang them all for all i care.

IHTFP.

PS: which way are independents breaking? hopefully breaking the back of the Democrat party.

Kevlar Kid

lil help here, JOM.

if you happen to report progress of a race by candidate name, would you help me out by tagging the name D or R?

i don't have a war room board up tracking state by state races.

muchas graws-yahsss. :D

Extraneus

Looks like Nelson is leading in FL. 12% reporting.

Kevlar Kid

Pin:

put the chalupa down.

Pinandpuller

Kev

I heard there was a BART app for reporting crime but the app was racist. It must be like the voting booths that change your D votes to R...

For No Reason Whatsoevah.

Sue

Via 538: "Miami-Dade County early votes are in. Nelson won them 60-40, and Gillum won them 59-40. That’s slightly behind Clinton’s 63-34 showing in the county. "

Kevlar Kid

i refuse to adopt a mindset with empowering effect for the Oily Discharge.

the OD is a nuisance. he wins there as that is his intent.

but for me to choose to vamoose, am-scray because he is such an impactive force on my sanity whatevs?

no effin way. to each their own. but i refuse to budge.

MJW

Please, I beg people, when posting results, add (R) or (D) after the candidates' names. Not everyone knows the name of every candidate in every race. I suppose this "rule" can be relaxed in cases where there's extensive back-and-forth about particular people.

Sue

I don’t know why people don’t just scroll past him? I’ve never understood the constant attention he receives.

Sue

McGrath is a dem.

Kevlar Kid

does this sound cocky?

it will be close but MAGA wins.

the "hate Trump" vote has limited trajectory.
and if there is any clamp down on illegal voting and fraud? Dems are hurting.

the big thing to watch for me: impact of #WalkAway and #Blexit in the mid-terms.

any significant play by either spells Dem-Doom in 2020.

How many house and senate seats are up for grabs in 2020?

yeah.

Catsmeat

JMH, I have assumed that 42 is the master number of the universe (to do honor to Lewis Carroll), but I see why 137 is a strong contender! You made me laugh.

Porch, commiserations to another mid-lib-state-university employee--as for the not-picked-up leaflet, none of them are Boy Scouts.

matt - deplore me if you must

I will pay attention starting @ 8- 9:00PM California time. Nothing meaningful until then. Hopefully we will be getting slightly tipsy as we did in 2016 waiting for Hillary to come up on stage and concede. Wasn't that just such a precious moment? I still tear up slightly with glee.

It was the Panhandle that tipped Florida as I recall. Overwhelmingly red.

Indiana Senate update: 565 of 5,375 precincts reporting - 11 percent

Good point, MJW.

Nelson (D-FL) vs. Scott is supposedly a bellweather.

I didn't notice my post wasn't party labeled.

Braun is the GOP candidate.

Sorry. As I said above, I didn't notice they weren'r party labeled. Braun is GOP.

Here we go

@henryolsenEPPC

First House calls of the night - Shalala picks up FL 27 and Wexton wins VA-10. Neither is a surprise. Curbelo behind by 2,600 votes, less than 2%. Too close to call. Brat ahead slightly, but suburbs where he polls poorly reporting less.

Porchlight

Remember FL statewide races will look Dem for awhile until Panhandle comes in.

McGrath is the Dem in KY-06 race against Andy Barr. Supposed to be a close race/bellwether.

Sue

Barbara Comstock-R loses in VA 10. She was the incumbent.

Kevlar Kid

MSNBC is slammin in the other room down the hall (for the hard of hearin).

i'm puttin my Beats on to drown out the recurring phrase:

"and if these early trends continue we will see that Blue Wave." how many times will we hear that until we dont?

yeah right. bite me.

Pinandpuller

Puerto. You got my spelling all chingada Kev.

You gone for a tour of Liberty U yet?

I voted after work at 6pm local. My precinct is at a church. Most crowded I’ve ever seen it there and I always vote after work.

Gov. Scott (R) running +4.1% ahead of Trump's 2016 winning margins.

Free James D!

I’m starting to feel sick about tonight.

It’s mind boggling to imagine the voters are that stupid and throw away all the accomplishments of the last two years in favor of the lies and slanders and madness and hatred of the Dems/ MSM, but they may be.

Tom Maguire

OK, that Fox Republican Senate probability moving to 57% chance of control is making me nervous. They should have started the night above 80%.

caro

Great, Marlene! I am missing that fun party (and Jane) but in the company of my conservative hubby. Lots of changes since that terrific night two years ago.

Bernardo de la paZ

They are calling the 27th with 1% of the vote, there is a maga candidate, who is drawing 2% of the vote from salazar.

Kevlar Kid

i toured flame town during my last time here in 2015. of course, one need not tour the campus as Liberty infests many a strip mall in town with their store front offerings.

Fallwell Jr. is raking in $900K as Big Dawg. He makes 50% more than Janet "La Bloat" Napolitano over at the CAL system back home. Nice lucre.

Taking bets that Liberty U goes tits up in 10 years. Cash burn rate is unsustainable.

JimNorCal

"Health care? It had very little publicity in California."

Single payer with Dem Newsom in favor of covering "residents" aka illegals

Kevlar Kid

isn't calling the race early a voter suppression strategy? and who's callin it? Floyd Burfer of the local precinct? wha?

Bernardo de la paZ

Correction the hobbit is runmimg away with it.

Pinandpuller

Is the Call to Prayer not the most beautiful sound in Lynchburg?

Jane#walkaway

Marlene, I'm so glad you guys made it. I'm a little nervous now.

Kevlar Kid

i dint turn the Hillary Slaughter Fest of 2016 on until 11pm PST. by then Judy Woodruff's bondo makeup was cratering and Martha Ratt-a-tatt-tatt was dialing her shrink.

it's way to early to be hawking these races with the media's bullshitake spin hammering the frontal lobes. go easy on yourselves. :D

we got this.

Texas Liberty Gal

Sorry MM. As soon as I posted my comment I saw you had clarified he was GOP. I’m so nervous I get cranky

Kevlar Kid

California under "Any Twosome Newsome" is going to have some major bond rating problems.

Health care for insects and humans is going to create a financial fiasco.

i'm here at Paw's retirement community in West Lynchburg. it's nice. they have a lovely home here with a pretty nice package for financing independent living, assisted, and end-stage care. they are both well-off and are living well here.

this place was started with initiative by big-box church networks that have been in Lynchburg since Fallwell set up his mecca here. and so there are about 75 retired ministers and church administrators here (most in their 80s and 90s).

religion makes the world go round in Lynchburg VA.

we'll see where it goes should Liberty U have a hiccup and have to reorganize.

Pinandpuller

It does amuse me when churches are polling sites. Do mosques participate up in Dearborn? I don't think you can sex segrate voters yet.

matt - deplore me if you must

My prediction: nothing will be apparent until it is. We have a lot of unknown unknowns out there tonight.

If Trump is pulling 30-40,000 revved up Republicans 2-3x/day across key constituencies and if Obama, Biden et al are getting Dunkin Donut crowds that is a big tell. Anger sometimes doesn't translate into votes and the Republicans are the happy warriors this year.

And Guam will be turning over, so who cares?

But I’m afraid I will be.
